Aloha Shifters: Jewels of the Heart Book 6: Lure of the Fox

Destiny only puts events into motion. The rest is up to you.

Desert fox shifter Ella Kitt has no problem risking her life — but never, ever her heart. Not that she expects to do either when she flies to Maui to help her Special Forces comrades with an easy security job. Or maybe not so easy, because she’s forced to work — and live — in close quarters with smoking hot army hero, Jake McBride. Jake isn’t just the one-night stand who makes her scarred heart flutter and her fox’s tail wag — he’s also a human, totally off-limits to shifters of her kind.

Head over heels in love? Not Jake McBride. It’s just that he can’t shake Ella out of his mind — or his dreams. But when destiny reunites him with his kick-ass lover, he can’t deny the attraction any more. There’s something powerful and alluring about Ella — plus a hidden, sensual side he longs to set free.

At the same time, mystery surrounds Ella and Jake’s new employers at Koa Point. How exactly can a group of Special Forces vets afford to live on an exclusive oceanfront estate? What deadly enemy is closing in on their sun-kissed corner of paradise? And is that enemy targeting someone at the estate — or targeting Jake?

And so we come full circle, but this time, not so much like "Magnum, PI," because we don't have a heartbreaking episode with Magnum narrating about his own death and such, where you realize that he's been looking back on his life this whole time... [cue the tears] No, what we have is Ella, the woman who sent Tessa to Maui in the first "Aloha Shifters" book, and started us down this fantastic path to begin with.

She was the one who saved Tessa from the clutches of a dark and heartless Dragon, putting her on the path to her Fated Mate and the first Spirit Stone. Every so often, we've heard whispers of her in other books - enough to make us wonder about her - but finally Ella gets a story of her own!

Just when we think that all 5 Stones have been found, we learn that there's one more Stone out there, more power than the rest. Our brave band of Shifters can't relax and enjoy their Happily Ever Afters quiet yet, but they're going to need some help to prepare for the final battle to come, and that's where Ella comes in.

There's no question as to whom Silas will call for help, of course. Ella served with them overseas, and she's a fellow Shifter. But with one of the females heavily pregnant, he has to bring in TWO extra hands, not just one. What's a Type A Alpha Dragon to do?

Enter Jake McBride. He may not be a Shifter, but he's a decorated Army Ranger, he's served with them before. The men of Koa Point all agree it's the perfect plan, especially since they've all witnessed Ella's hot-and-heavy sleep-talking sessions about Jake more than once. Being happily mated themselves, they decide it's all in brotherly "good fun" to pair these two up...

Which of course is a fun, recipe for disaster-type plot-point.

Take 1 uber-strong magic gem
Add 1 power-hungry female dragon in a fake-marriage plot,
Then Shake liberally with an evil psycho-villain
Crank the temp up to steam with love scenes between 2 amazing Heroes (cool off with ice cubes, as needed)
Spike with adrenaline,
Ad a dash of________
Garnish with an adorable calico kitten

What? Did you think I'd give you the ENTIRE recipe? Where's the fun in that? Read it and fill in your favorite ingredients yourself.

Dragons, tigers, bears, foxes and more! Lure of the Fox is a wonderful conclusion to the Aloha Shifters: Jewels of the Heart series.

Jake (human) and Ella (fox shifter) served in the military and had a night of passion that neither of them ever forgot. Ella knew that Jake was her mate, but Jake new nothing about shifters and Ella was not about to risk his life by initiating the mating bite. She couldn’t watch her mate die as her mother had. Human males don’t fare so well with the mating bite, as their bodies fight the change to hard.

When fate brings them together again to work at Koa Point providing security, will they be able to fight the mating pull that wants to bring them together? This story is filled with action, suspense and twists and turns, that ends up putting Jake and Ella in a life and death situation. But fate provides a very strong ally in a small spirit stone that just might be the answer to putting Ella’s fear to rest and allow her to have her happily ever after with her mate.

Loved Jake and Ella’s story, which also included the rest of the Koa Point team and the introduction to a couple little ones that make their entrance into the world.

I highly recommend this series. If you enjoy shifter stories with action, suspense and of course love, you will want to read each book.

Rated 1-5 stars w/ 5 being the best

Overall: 4 stars
Performance: 4 stars
Story: 4 stars

I was so happy to see Ella get a book. There was always something intriguing about her. I loved her with Jake. I ached every time Ella would remind her fox why she couldn't mate with Jake. The smexy scene in the hotel was scorching!

I truly loved how Jake handled finding out about shifters and didn’t let it scare him away from the woman he loved or his friends. It showed what a strong person he really is.

The ending was somewhat predictable as we know the main characters will ride off into the sunset together. Still…it was a satisfying ending to the series.

Ms. Lowe did a great job of weaving the 5 books into a great series to read and/or listen. Ms. Osborne’s narration was well done as well.

While this series is complete, Moira is still out there somewhere planning her evil schemes. Thank goodness we have a spin-off series coming so we can eventually see her downfall. I'm hoping the original Island crew has cameos so we can peek in on their lives.

Disclosure: I received a free copy of the audiobook.

Can it be the special forces that Ella belonged to so long ago which includes two of her brothers trying to play matchmaker or do they know something their not telling? Ella has known the second she laid eyes on Jake he was her mate but not many men accept the change and as he didn't want that life. She figured they would have that one night together while in the fields and what a night. So much more she talked in her sleep calling out his name. Hence the idea. They think they are slick. Plus they are all mated up. Even Silas their team leader was getting married. Jake never stopped thinking about Ella. One night was not enough he wanted forever but at the time he garnered. They were both just doing their jobs and crossing paths whenever assignments permitted. He knew she always wanted to be treated equal so he made sure his squad treated her like she was 6'2minus 10...too cute. Well one last mission, infiltrate the hotel where Silas is having reception and seek out the people who out for them. On a side note he also has to be watchful because someone is gunning for his old unit as well. Something to do with a mission. Oh did I mention they had to pose as newlyweds. That's right theyz married now for realz. Aww don't worry you can just get a divorce after the assignment forget about an annulment cuz you know you can't have hanky panky. And they are pretty much got that covered in spades. Come along and check out this adventure, of strength, love, animals behavior, self sacrifices and what the power of a smoother of the gem stones can do and a stick. Yeah I said a stick. This story was like "you had me at hello." A must read.

Oh my...such a sweet and funny story about an angel and a dragon caught in a storm! We meet Tomas and Holly. Well we know of Tomas in book 10 briefly. So, we dont know much about him. He's a dragon from 2 pure dragons which sorta makes him royalty hes a gold/red dragon. Instead of ruling he just wants to be a Dragon Guard and protect his people and innocents. Hes a great guy and sweet and funny. As a favor to Rayne he drops off a package to Maddox, but after doing that he's now stuck in a blizzard and his wings froze. So, he sought shelter in a cave. Then we meet Holly and very beautiful Angel on her last flight/mission before she is to find her mate. Well...shes always been told she'd mate with a fellow Christmas Angel. So, she is really confused and freaked out about this pull to Tomas. Spending time together and obviously fate can't be denied...they quickly bond mentally...but not mate quite yet. There is someone who is in need of help. They have both forces pulling them light and dark and Holly and Tomas work together to bring it/her into the light. Its actually really heartwarming. I loved the story and meeting Holly and Tomas. Hopefully we get to see more of them later. This was a novella length about 120 pages or so. Went sooo fast! I think whats really funny is these younger dragons have a hard time blocking their thoughts from others haha. Talk about embarrassing! 🙂

This is my first dragon shifter book, and now I discover it's the eleventh one of a group of twelve - so far! Talk about stepping into a whole new world! But I loved it, right from the start. Tomas is a very powerful and very old dragon, and one reason for his power is that he was born of two dragons, a red and a gold. He longs for his mate, but nearly despairs of ever finding her. But now he has found her, and she's not the dragon he was expecting - she's an angel! And together they are more powerful than either one was alone, a truly magical mixture, capable of doing great good. (And of making you laugh out loud while you're reading, so take my advice, and don't try to explain why you're laughing so hard to the folks around you. They'll think you're crazy!) I "bought" it for free on Amazon this morning, and you can do the same. I hope you get it, 'cause I know you'll enjoy it. If you do, please take the time to leave a review, so maybe someone else will have the same pleasure.

Tomas meets Holly, a Christmas Angel and his true mate. Of course the news is super duper great to Tomas, he couldn't be happier. Holly is a bit apprehensive, she has been lead to believe her true mate would be another Angel that she wouldn't meet until she completed her final mission. Holly is resistant to Tomas' mate claim. The two must team up to help another fight against evil that wished to corrupt and distort to its will.

Fighting for Their Mate by Grace Goodwin

Shadow Wolf by Heather Long

Most wolves will roam at some point in their lives, fledgling adults leave to explore the world while more senior wolves may undertake a journey they always wanted. Many come home again, Mitch Jackson didn’t. He thrilled to living life on the road, first as a roadie for a rock band, traveling from city to city then later as an animal trainer at a circus. He’s had a lot of jobs, and all of them fun. His years as an Enforcer hasn’t curbed his smile, but a rogue invasion of Russian wolves are enough to put a damper on anyone’s party especially when they set their sights on the packs’ more vulnerable members…

Weekly Cup of Coco

My bed is raised to accommodate a set of drawers on one side. This gives us additional storage under the bed. Coco is afraid of storms and tries to hide anywhere she can.

Knowing that, I rearranged things a bit and created a space just for her. Now she sleeps there at least part of every night.

Wolves of Willow Bend Book 10: Shadow Wolf

Most Lone Wolves have a story—a pack they left behind, a love they lost, or worse, one they buried. Some leave their packs to roam because they crave freedom, and independence. Some leave because in their hearts, they can’t bear to stay. Some leave because they see no way to go back…

Amelia Sullivan couldn’t stay in Willow Bend, not after her sister embraced the life she’d always wanted. It aggravated her that Shiloh’s defiance earned her a free pass from their parents, parents who’d raised them all to reject the idea of going wolf. Having always put their family first, Amelia needs a breather from wolves, their politics, and their play. Taking the first excuse she can to go to a cooking school on the west coast, she flees. The last thing she expected was an order to return home within three months of her getting away. She wasn’t a wolf, she doesn’t have to obey…of course, not following the rules proves even more costly than she can imagine when she finds herself a prisoner and the change she always thought she wanted forced upon her…

Rescuing Amelia seemed a straightforward job until Mitch realizes what they’ve done, then saving her life proves to be the easier task as she undergoes her first transformation far from any alpha. Can a happy go lucky Enforcer find the strength to keep her sane?

Little Sister
Reviewed in the United States on March 13, 2017Verified Purchase
This is a great read, beginning an arc within the series featuring the Enforcers, "Guardians of the Wolves". It begins with the kidnapping of one of the Willow Bend pack humans, Amelia Sullivan, whose sister Shiloh was lead in a previous book. Amelia, angry with her little sister's defiance of the rules and being rewarded for it, moved to Los Angeles to attend culinary school. She's snatched off the street only a few weeks after her arrival, tortured, starved and near death when she's found by Enforcer Mitch Jackson.
Mitch is a lone wolf groomed and recruited by Julian for the Enforcers, where he works with military precision and dedication. With help from a tracker he locates where Amelia is being held and enters the abandoned warehouse to find the bodies of humans from the various packs, and a barely alive Amelia. Injured in the battle with her guards, he takes her to his cabin in the Sierras to recover as an ice storm hits, isolating them without electricity or phone service. It doesn't take long for Mitch to realize Amelia has been given "the bite" and that away from her alpha and without a mate her chances of surviving the change are slim. There is a good chance she will go mad and he will have to put her down. But Mitch is determined to get 'little sister" through to the other side, alive and well, and back home safely to her pack. Hopefully, that's what she wants, too.

Words fail me. I cannot express how much I LOVE THIS BOOK!!! Okay the cover isn’t the best one of the series but the pages after left me breathless. Shadow Wolf is the start of a new arc and the author refers to events and places that take place in prior books that you really should read, that being said you could probably enjoy it without having read them just not as much.
Neither Amelia nor Mitch are perfect but they are perfect for each other. Amelia is a strong young woman who comes off as a bit whiney at first. Mitch comes off as a bit condescending and work focused but as he helps her through her first change and Amelia discovers just how strong she is they discover each other as well. Their journey is one I will reread over and over again.

5.0 out of 5 stars I absolutely LOVED Shadow Wolf

I absolutely LOVED Shadow Wolf. Like, seriously. ❤

I have skipped around through the series as each book has come out, mostly because I read from a short first then had to find my way to the beginning.

With that said, this book gave more than I expected. Heather wove a wonderful tale, that all of it could be considered spoilers. But, I will say I love Mitch, and I love Amelia. For everything that happens to her, she's so freaking strong. Her will to survive when most would have given up, is a breath of fresh air. I love the fact that she will put all of the men in her life, in their places without compunction. I also love that she is vulnerable. So much has happened to her, and to see her grow into her own after all the pressure she'd been under, I found myself cheering her on.

However, I would have loved to see some closure with her parents. (They are a nasty bunch) For everything that happened between them and for why she left, I think that part of the story should have been given a little more face time.

Also, I can't wait to see where this is all headed with the Russian wolves, the clues they figured out at the end, left me shocked and a little dumbfounded, but I could also understand it.

I cannot wait for Thunder Wolf to see where this is going and how everything will turn out!

This story was so sad, but also full of hope and fight. Amelia was one of my least favorite characters in the series, so it was interesting to see her side of the story. Her struggles and traumas turned her into a character full of fierce fire and life. She is so STRONG. And independent Mitch was a perfect match for her. The addition information and advancement in the overarching storyline really makes me glad I binging this series right now! If I had to WAIT for the next book, I might go mad. Lol

GOD, I LOVE this series and the ...
spinoff series “The Colony” (which is my favorite, but not enough stories in that line yet). I love not just the romance but the UNIVERSE that GG has created with this series! It’s more than just a world build for this very clever sci-fi series but a more elaborate universe that encompasses sci-fi, romance, adventure, discovery and intense danger.

GG has created something so filling it’s up there with Star Trek, Star Wars or Dr Who. All this while being an adult erotica and a gripping read! I found this series when I was searching for sci-fi romance and boy I have NOT been disappointed. Although I get bored with all the sex scenes (in all the books there are ALOT of them and very graphic!) I think it’s definitely more a sci-fi story. The investment into the creation of this universe is extensive and really should not be over looked.

GG hurry and write more! I like to pile them up (a few books) and then binge read them all at once! I can’t get enough of the Atlans, Prillons and Warden Egara! I like all the other species too but those are my favorites. I’m also interested in the possibility of rescuing more assimilated hive drones. I love there stories in “The Colony”. Maybe one day learning more about the Hive and defeating them! ☺️

Fabulous adventure
Wow, what a fabulous adventure. Chloe was a former special ops type of warrior who had almost gotten killed because of a co-worker. He had placed the blame for the failed mission so she had been returned to Earth, working as a 911 operator and never being allowed to return to work. She signs up for the Interstellar Bride program thinking she will be sent to some other planet but is, instead, sent to a battle ship to meet her mates. The Commander of the ship finds out about her top secret background and she is recruited to do the same type of job she had previously done. She is such a strong warrior and to have a female holding such power was fabulous. The fact she out ranks her mates is frosting on the cake. There is steamy sex between mates, dangerous battles and much more happening in this book. It kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. I've read some of the Interstellar Bride books and they were great but this one was out of this world!

Can't wait till the next book
YEAH! I love these stories. And the fact that we have a human mate, male in the mix makes it so much more fun. I'm glad to read that Seth finally found happiness. He and his best friend, Dorian a Prillian, work so great together. Toss in Chloe with her skill and intell. I love when the women have a stronger role. Even though we know they all have secrets do to their missions and jobs it is interesting to find out more and more about the Hive. The Hive is more of a threat then ever before. But with what Chloe knows and our two guys loving and protecting her, we will crack this.

I cant wait for what is to come next. Perhaps Commander Karter with find someone or even Warlord Anghar or even our Warden with the Interstellar Bride. They all need to find love. Perhaps all them together.

Love This Book-Plenty of Action
I am obsessed with Grace Goodwin's books, and they get better and better. I skipped over the 2nd chapter which detailed Chloe's dream during her bride processing time, because the dreams the brides have in the processing center are about sex, and I've already read enough of those. Other than that each story is unique, and I love the story line in this one. Chloe is intelligent and has high ranking in the coalition. She has a key role in helping to save thousands and is a true heroin. Her mates are a human and a Prillon, and although they have a few surprises in getting to know her, they are wonderfully supportive to her with a desire to protect her as well.

4.0 out of 5 stars Hot sex, believable characters

This book starts with a high tension scene and pulls you in immediately. The author has created a heroine who behaves consistently given her background and the plot complications that develop because of her choices grow out of her character. I enjoyed this book even though the sex the heroine had with one of the two men was mildly dom/sub and that's not my thing. The author skirts the problem of not having a safe word because the participants are emotionally linked and he knows that she's only unsure and doesn't actually mean "No." That didn't work for me. However the sex with the other man felt mutually passionate and joyful.

The relationships were more developed than just sex, making the emotional dilemmas believable. This is the first in a series and Sinclair does a good job of creating an entire community to set future stories in. I'll be looking for Book 2.

This book is so good even after reading it multiple times. It is the start of a great series with lots of world building, and I still pick up new details on re-reads. It's a paranormal story set in the mountains and while being paranormal \supernatural it's a subtler feeling take on it. It feels rooted in history and legend, maybe with things lost over time but not gone. It's paranormal with shifters and far and demons and such but it's not eccentric, or overly dramatic if that makes sense. This story does have its own HEA but there is a kind of large over-arching story / problem that continues into future books. And the romance is hot. It's to me this kind of slow burn meets fast burn. It's also a menage/why choose type love where the men are solely romantically focused on the woman. That being said doesn't mean there's not some hot, interesting, and group activities that take place. All the characters in this story are well developed and I loved them all but that didn't mean There wasn't also moments I wanted to shake them. If you like paranormal even a little or maybe want to get your feet wet, or you like some suspense and actions of your just looking for a hot romance you've found it. Would definitely recommend.

He certainly doesn’t have time for love — not with a ruthless enemy plotting to destroy everything he holds dear. When a priceless diamond — one of the legendary Spirit Stones — surfaces in New York, Silas knows the jewel is nothing but trouble…just like the alluring woman who refuses to relinquish the gem.

Bartender Cassandra Nichols never asked to inherit a mysterious diamond, and she really never intended to come between two warring dragons. But with one near-miss escape after another, she has no choice but to choose sides. Before she knows it, she’s whisked by private jet to an oceanfront estate in Hawaii for her own “protection.” Is the enigmatic Mr. Llewellyn just another billionaire dragon who thinks he can claim anything he wants? Or is there more to the soulful stranger than meets the eye?

5.0 out of 5 stars That Amazing Higgins Episode
Reviewed in the United States on January 4, 2018Verified Purchase
You remember in the later seasons of “Magnum, PI” when the writing got really, really good, and there were more dramatic episodes? And there was that one Higgins Episode? You know the one I mean. The one where the storyline revealed deep, dark, interesting details of Higgins’ life that you never suspected, like all these heroic things he did during WWII fighting for King and Country; the long lost love of his life that he mourns in silence; how incredibly, deeply loyal he is and not just a stuffed shirt rule-follower. Yeah, stuff just like that - an episode that gives you a glimpse beneath that very proper, very stoic face he shows to the world.

I’ve said before that the Aloha Shifters books contain a sweet, hidden little salutes to the 80’s TV show, “Magnum, PI,” and so “Love of the Dragon” is the like the Higgins Episode of the series. There are lighthearted moments, to be sure, but it has a deep, serious feeling to it, because it is the culmination of the other four books. (There are no cliffhangers and the books can be standalones, but there is an overarching storyline that weaves all five books together. I highly recommend reading them in order.)

Silas is a dark, serious, brooding kind of guy. He won’t stand for a lot of nonsense, and he means business. All the time. He can’t afford to lower his guard or misplace his trust, which is why he has such a small, close-knit group at his side. He trusts his men – and now their mates – and that’s as far as he goes, because he’s been burned before. Silas is an Old School Gentleman in many ways: he’s all about the Greater Good. Throughout the Aloha Shifters books, he’s been the battled-hardened leader who always had his men’s back, reminded them to keep their wits about them, to not become Fate’s fool. But one by one, each of Silas’ brothers’ in arms ended up happily mated. Being the gentleman that he is, Silas welcomed the women to Koa Point, truly happy for them, while holding himself apart. Fate should never send him a mate.

(Doesn’t that sound like the perfect entrance to Silas’ story?)

And so, dear reader (viewer?), we come to the end of the series (season?)! The dramatic climax to the story of the Spirit Stones! I’ve been wondering through all the previous books: what the heck kind of woman could put up with Silas long enough to fall in love, anyway?

Maybe Silas needs a sweet, “Girl Next Door” type? No, he’d walk right up to her, take the Spirit Stone, scold her for getting into danger, plonk her somewhere safe, say goodbye, and never look back. He might miss her a little now and then, but hey, “Greater Good,” and all that.

What about the kick-butt, sarcastic, stubborn type? Hmmm… seems a bit more promising, but Silas is used to that kind of woman, and seems rather immune to their singular charms. They would never stop arguing long enough to fall in love, let alone solve the problem of the Spirit Stones, because neither would bend enough to compromise.
It’s a good thing that Fate is sneaky and underhanded! She’s had Cassandra quietly hidden up her sleeve for a long time, waiting in the wings (so to speak – I can’t resist a good pun), for just the right occasion to step up and take center stage.

Everything about her is unexpected. Cassandra didn’t know she’s part Witch. She didn’t know she was going to inherit anything from her slightly crazy – but rich – Aunt Eloise. And she didn’t know anything about the Shifter world. She was totally normal, clueless, and more or less happy with her life as a New York bartender.

It’s a good thing that Cassandra is a “Fake it till you make it” kinda gal, because from the minute she learns about her heritage and Shifters, she’s in over her head. This a case coming in at the last minute as the understudy to the Lead in a headlining Broadway show when you’ve only ever been in the chorus. Sure, you can sing and dance, but you have NO hope remembering your lines or hitting your marks. So baby, you better WORK IT and pray the audience doesn’t notice. “Never let `em see you sweat,” should be Cassandra’s motto.

She’s kind of like Lois Lane, because she’s got spunk and she wants to do what’s right, but doesn’t always GET it right. She knows that sometimes you have to stand up to powerful people, even when you know that you’re outgunned and scared out of your mind.

Cassandra has an unassuming, joyful grace that draws Silas in. She doesn’t crave wealth or power, doesn’t want or need any of the things a powerful man like him could give her. Furthermore, he can’t seem to convince her that HE doesn’t want the powerful Spirit Stone she’s promised Aunt Eloise she’d protect. I won’t say too much more about Cassandra, because it’s more fun to discover her for yourself.

There’s a lot to love about this book, not least of which are all the little touches of warmth that we get to see in Silas. He’s a leader of his family, but also of his community – the charity ball is a fun peek into his life, and tip of the hat to Higgins that made my day. In the last few books, we’ve seen just a little bit of Silas’ veneer start to crack, but here we see him from the inside, including his insecurities, hopes, and fears. The ultimate stoic leader, willing to sacrifice himself for the good of the pack, is the one who might just need saving in the end.

I'm in love with this series. I just can't get enough of it. I'm truly amazed at this authors ability to create a story. I enjoy stories that involve some mystery, romance, and what I've come to discover most of all I love reading fantasy stories. Not sure if it is at all sci-fi like I used to think it was but a fantasy world with shifters and magic are a world I have fun reading about. This author is pretty awesome at creating a world that you can see, feel and experience in your mind and I just love that like wow she's good at that.

Even if you think you want to pass on a fantasy book with steamy romance because you maybe arnt into it I'd still say that how this author writes it is well worth getting this whole series. The story is just epic 🙂 I like steamy romance but I like a good story just as much and this author delivers.

by Anna Lowe
⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
OMG! I absolutely enjoy If you want to read and fall in love with a fabulous series. Then Love of the Dragon Aloha Shifters: Jewels of the Heart Book 5 is just the book you want to read. This book features military romance, strong heroines, alpha heroes, werewolves, were-dragons, were-bears, were-bears, paranormal suspense, action-adventure, dragons battling it out, fantasy romance, and billionaires. The book is about Silas Llewellyn and Cassandra Nichols with a mysterious diamond known as the Wind Stone. Book 5 Jewels of the heart is a very thrilling series set on the tropical island of Maui. If you enjoy a book where the characters from the previous books are included in the present book then you will definitely enjoy this book. Here’s the thing about the ALOHA SHIFTERS: JEWELS of the HEART Series: they are consistent. Yes Anna Lowe tweaks the particulars, but you can always expect a funny and feisty heroine with an gorgeous alpha hero. The characters are fantastic and compelling along with chemistry between Silas and Cassandra. There is never a dull moment even including with the secondary characters. It's so great that we get to continue to fall in love with the pack along with addition of Cassandra Nichols.

Their quest to save the pack with the diamond makes this book have everything you will want..romance, battles, arrogant antagonists, love, sex and victory. This book is a delightful gift that I have enjoy reading and giving my review of this book which I really enjoyed this book. Great story that will keep you involved. Great job again Anna Lowe. incredible from the first word to the last This is the continuation of the Aloha series. That's why I enjoy about Anna Lowe's Aloha Shifters Series, but I have to admit that Anna Lowe does it well. It’s a double-edged sword and I have enjoyed this series and at this point I would buy and read them just because Anna Lowe wrote it. It’s smart and sharp and sexy. It’s a book and series which I enjoy reading. It has humor and I laughed more than once. This book features new characters, which I really enjoyed . You will enjoy how exciting and fantastic the characters are. There are few twists and surprises that Silas is the key. This another great book in this fantastic series. So bottom line: it’s classic Great Book, which brings to light who is the owner and the battle between dragons for the fifth stone. But I will tell you that the book will keep you turning the pages until you turn the last page. You will enjoy this exciting, suspenseful, thrilling, sweet, some times humorous and blazing hot shifter Romance as much as I did! It's a five star series that I highly recommend you read. I am so looking forward to the next book in this series!

Oh this was one different! In a GOOD way. Its shorter than some but didnt pack any less punch for me at least. This is about Rayne's Uncle Dragos who was thought dead over a 100 years ago. He was labeled The Assassin because he was so good at being a Guardsman and really tough. Him and his brethren were taken and shoved into black magic infused coffins. Now, we dont know the whereabouts of his brethren or if they survived or not. He's been awake this entire time enduring sooo much pain. He calls out for help only to find his mate! How cool is that? Alicia...she thought him crazy or herself at first. Then realized he's real and is in dire need of help. He's only been able to reach her only. She's desperate to find him and calls upon the clan and others to help get him out. It was touch and go for awhile but he BARELY escaped. Alicia is awesome and is a lot like Kyra. Kyra is a bit more fiery and sassy but not by much. I liked her a lot. I so enjoyed them all kickin butt and the story of these 2 mates! Enjoyed the book a lot.

This is book 10 in the Dragon Guard Series and I have to say I wanted this book so much just on the cover alone. Each guard who has found their mate seems to have a deep battle with those setout to hurt them but Drago and Alicia's story ripped at my emotions.
Drago has been kept a prisoner for almost 100 years. He is a MacLendon a Dragon an Assassin he was the Commander. His mate Alicia hears him but she has no idea who he is or what he wants but she can hear him. Now to find him? Alicia is skeptical when Drago lets her know who has him. Drago is in luck because Alicia does know the Dragon Guard but she is still weary because Rayne said he had no family living.
Well she goes on asking him one million questions but she needs to know in her heart of hearts this man is telling the truth. Drago is family but whose? You will have to just read the story yourself as I have given you enough already.

In this one, Dragos has been held an underground (as in buried) captive prisoner by black magic for years. His family and dragon brethren all thinking him dead until one day he feels her, his mate! And Fate be praised, even without the mating bond he's able to speak to her mind to mind. Alicia is thinking she's going mad. She's haunted throughout the day and night by the voice of a man who claims he's her mate and needs help. Her mind's not sure she believes what is going on but her heart is convinced it's true. What will she ultimately decide? There's nothing not to love about Julia Mills' Dragon Guard series. The storyline, the underlying plot that runs through each book, along with the immediate story and their own personal drama, the characters that always flawed, never perfect, make for an intense, angst filled, sexually charged and sometimes funny or sad. These are the attributes I've come to expect from each of her books and am never disappointed.

Book Reviews From Last Week

Her Dragon’s Soul by Julia Mills

He’d seen the golden highlights of her strawberry-blonde hair glistening in the firelight and it was obvious. When the seductively soft scent of Angel’s trumpets with their light lemony overtones had invaded his senses, Liam Drennan just knew she was the one the Universe had made for him and him alone.

The few times he’d decided to go to her something had pushed him away, made it impossible for him to get near her. He’d felt the mating call, even sensed the beginning of the mating bond, but something dark almost evil within her had shut it down and denied him access to his mate. There was something about Hannah McKennon that didn’t add up.

Now, all Liam had to do was figure out how to tell his brethren’s mate that her best friend had something evil living inside her. Who was he kidding? There was no way this was going to end well for anyone involved.

Oh great! Just another day in paradise.

As enemies plot to destroy Viken’s place in the Coalition Fleet, Bella will have to learn to trust, or lose everything. Her mates will feed the hunger inside her no others ever could. Lone Wolves aren’t supposed to form relationships, so why doesn’t he catch a hint? Worse, why isn’t she working harder to make sure he does?

Weekly Cup of Coco!

Well, this week my husband and I received our second COVID vaccination shot. I’m glad that’s over with for now. His health has been a concern for awhile now. It upset Coco enough that she practically sat on my husband’s feet while I was out at an appointment.

Regretfully, we also had to come to the decision to close his blog. While I repeatedly tried to coax him into using some of the devotionals that he sent out by email a few years back, he wouldn’t have anything to do with that. That left him with the stress of writing new material for every week. His heart isn’t up to the stress, so we reluctantly ended the blog.

Have no fear though, folks! I don’t plan to end this one any time soon.
