Books Reviews This Week

Her Dragon’s Fate by Julia Mills

Trapped for almost a century. No chance of escape. All hope was lost and then he felt…her…

Sleepless nights, a man haunts her at every turn, his voice calling her, begging her…needing her…

Not even the Universe has the answers and time is running out…

The Fate of her dragon may be the death of them all!

Love of the Dragon by Anna Lowe

Silas Llewellyn, the last of a once-mighty dragon clan, doesn’t have time for anything but work and duty. He certainly doesn’t have time for love — not with a ruthless enemy plotting to destroy everything he holds dear. When a priceless diamond — one of the legendary Spirit Stones — surfaces in New York, Silas knows the jewel is nothing but trouble…just like the alluring woman who refuses to relinquish the gem.

Bartender Cassandra Nichols never asked to inherit a mysterious diamond, and she really never intended to come between two warring dragons. But with one near-miss escape after another, she has no choice but to choose sides. Before she knows it, she’s whisked by private jet to an oceanfront estate in Hawaii for her own “protection.” Is the enigmatic Mr. Llewellyn just another billionaire dragon who thinks he can claim anything he wants? Or is there more to the soulful stranger than meets the eye?

Hour of the Lion by Cherise Sinclair

First a Marine, then a black ops agent, Victoria Morgan knows the military is where she belongs…until a sniper’s bullet changes her life. Trying to prove she’s not washed up, she rescues a young man from kidnappers. When the dying boy transforms into a cougar—and bites her—she learns of an entire hidden society. He begs her to inform his grandfather of his death and to keep the secret of the shifters’ existence. She can’t refuse, but what if the creatures pose a danger to the country she swore to protect?

Fighting for Their Mate by Grace Goodwin

Once a commander with the Intelligence Core for the Coalition Fleet, a mission gone wrong forced Chloe to return to Earth injured and dishonored. But she’s seen too much and is restless in civilian life. This drives her to do whatever it takes to return to space, to where she belongs, so she volunteers as an Interstellar Bride. She’s shocked to discover her mate is human, but he’s like no one else she’s ever met…and he’s taken a second, a huge Prillon warrior equally determined to seduce her body and win her heart.

Shadow Wolf by Heather Long

Most wolves will roam at some point in their lives, fledgling adults leave to explore the world while more senior wolves may undertake a journey they always wanted. Many come home again, Mitch Jackson didn’t. He thrilled to living life on the road, first as a roadie for a rock band, traveling from city to city then later as an animal trainer at a circus. He’s had a lot of jobs, and all of them fun. His years as an Enforcer hasn’t curbed his smile, but a rogue invasion of Russian wolves are enough to put a damper on anyone’s party especially when they set their sights on the packs’ more vulnerable members…

Weekly Cup of Coco

My bed is raised to accommodate a set of drawers on one side. This gives us additional storage under the bed. Coco is afraid of storms and tries to hide anywhere she can.

Knowing that, I rearranged things a bit and created a space just for her. Now she sleeps there at least part of every night.
