Rebel Lion (Aloha Shifters: Pearls of Desire Book 3)

Lion shifter Dell O’Roarke has never been serious about life, but life is about to get serious with him. The beautiful stranger who’s just arrived in Maui isn’t just looking for anyone — she’s looking for him. And that’s not just any surprise she’s brought along — it’s a baby who looks a hell of a lot like Dell. Soon, he discovers there’s more at stake than his lifestyle as a swinging bachelor. Vengeful shifters are hot on the stranger’s heels, making Dell wonder… Are they after the woman, the baby, or him?

Ad executive Anjali Jain hasn’t taken a vacation in years — and she sure isn’t on vacation now. She’s simply keeping a promise, and then she’ll get back to climbing the corporate ladder. But there’s nothing simple about taking care of a baby — or handing that baby off to a handsome, mysterious stranger who feels like a long-lost friend. Easygoing Dell isn’t her type, but the more he reluctantly reveals of his hidden, soulful side, the deeper she falls in love — and the more mysteries she discovers. How can one man possibly awaken so many lusts and desires at the same time? What evil forces lurk behind the brutal murder of her best friend? And why does she have the feeling there’s something not quite human about the murderers — or about Dell?

Rebel Lion is much like Dell himself. A bit softer, a touch more lighthearted, not slower but more leisurely, more laid-back… yet, along the edges of this new domestic scene slithers a whisper of danger to come. Yeah. Very much like our lion shifter, Dell O’Roarke. For me, Rebel Lion was very much a story divided into two sections. At first we discover that Dell has a niece, a tiny baby who never knew her father and has tragically lost her mother. To say that Dell’s world was turned upside down in that moment would be an understatement. And not only about Quinn, for along with the baby Dell’s mate has also stepped into his life. Anjali is everything Dell never dreamed possible for himself. Sure, she’s career driven, lives back in Chicago and probably wouldn’t look twice at him on a normal day… but, still. There is an immediate spark, a knowing in her eyes even if she doesn’t really understand the part destiny plays in anyone’s life.

To be frank, I was disappointed in my beloved shifters. Yes, you read that right. From the moment Quinn appeared they didn’t have any confidence in Dell to be able to raise her, perhaps on his own. When they started tossing around other options for Quinn, my blood began to boil. Yes, it did. It was sad to me to see these men and women who knew Dell, fought beside him, shared his secrets, and admittedly knew him as a carefree, live for the moment kind of man. That they would put forth such a suggestion, that their faith and belief in their friend, brother was so low… I hurt for Dell, very much. And I wanted to start slapping people upside the head. Yes, even dragon shifters at that moment. I wanted to ask Cynthia how she’d feel if anyone dared suggest that future for Joey. Yeah, flash fire for certain would be the answer. Throughout this personal drama Dell and Anjali are slowly falling in love. Oh, Dell’s lion knew they’d found their mate but the man was too busy seeing how it couldn’t work at first. Everything changes when this newly formed family return to Chicago for the official signing of papers. Absolutely everything.

And here is the second section of Rebel Lion. The fight til the death, defend the mate and cub moment. The edge of danger has been slowly building and it comes to a head when we’re confronted with an old enemy, and learn her plans. The enemy that went after Quinn’s mother has joined forces with a more powerful ally and the fight is on to protect, to defend what is most important in Dell’s life.

I was captured all over again with Dell and Anjali’s story. There is a different feel to their story, one that is very much in touch with Dell’s personality. Watching Dell learn the joys, fears and delight of fatherhood was such an enjoyable experience. Also, watching the confirmed bachelor falling was a special delight. I wasn’t the least surprised that Dell’s story involved a little one, you only have to see how he is with Joey to know what a great father he’d make. We’ve learned a but more about Cynthia this time… and waiting for that shoe to fall is going to be agonizing. I absolutely loved Rebel Lion for its differences and for the continuity as well. Life is full of unseen corners to be turned, and Dell did that so well. If you love Shifter Romance or have followed this series then you need to pick up Rebel Lion. Fascinating characters, detailed story lines, threads woven through each story that connect them all … and simply a damn good story. Indulge yourself and enjoy another trip to Magnum’s estate (grin), you’ll enjoy the trip I guarantee.

I own a Kindle edition of this book.

What do you do when confronted by a pink bundle with eyes just like yours? Why you go all lion - hawt & protective! Dell's lion was up for the challenge of Anjali and her pink bundle even before Dell knew it. Anjali didn't know what work or satisfaction was until she had that little pink bundle. Everything isn't all stuffed lions and sleepy babes for the shifters on Maui. There is a major threat that needs to be solved and a pearl that won't be denied. I really enjoyed the different facets of Dell and even Anjali. Showing the playful side, to the responsible, scared and serious, to the protective sides. The nicknames that the played with all throughout the story were hysterical. Everyone working together like a big family to protect Quinn, the baby, was fabulous. Another great shifter read.

Anjali and Dell are my new favorite power couple. This story was explosive and saucy from the beginning. I've always loved Dell's inner beast and beauty. His emotions and call of duty demeanor take no prisoner attitude just like the majestic king of the jungle he is..but if it wasn't for love and Destiny playing a part he would have never conquered his inner alpha strength. Of course it helps to have a strong woman in your corner. It's what they say the male might be the king of the jungle but the woman rule the world. And damnit if Anjali didn't bring her inner lioness out when it was most needed. Protect your family and Destiny will help guide you along.

Moira just knew she was going to get her way this time but she had another thing coming. It's seems Moira is the common thread that brought this group of shifters and their mates together. Greed, revenge and power corrupts her. She will go to no end to make everyone pay and suffer. But they will not be destroyed or beaten. I feel it's going down soon. I have a vision all the shifters from Koakea Plantation and Koa Point will band together and open up a can of whoop a$%. I cannot wait for the next story.

I almost forgot, Anjali came through to help protect her newly found family. Quinn, Joey and all the rest of the group becomes hers and nobody muff what's hers. Get the book!

I swear these books just keep getting better and better with every new story. I LOVE Dell and Anjali!!! As usual, they are PERFECT for each other. And little Quinn and Joey. Love them. That's my favorite thing about Anna Lowe's series, you get to catch up in each book with the folks that came before!! I can't WAIT for Chase!!! My heart aches for him. How hard it must be for him. Lowe writes these people in a way that the most outlandish scenarios seem possible, and realistic. Love these series so much. Hate when each one comes to an end. I just hope she comes up with at least one more after Book 5. It has to be about Cynthia. Oh well, waiting impatiently. Did I say that? Patiently. Lol

The Scars of Her Dragon (Dragon Guard Series Book 14)

The past is never just the past especially when it haunts your every thought and turns your dreams to nightmares. Forgiveness is the only path to peace. Unfortunately, that route is filled with the faces of the dead.

The dove brings love, peace and protection to the world. She has the power to restore what’s been lost and heal the wounds of the past. If only he would let her.

A love created by the Universe was supposed to be enough. Their happily ever after had been woven in the fabric of time, but that was before the years of guilt and shame ate away at the heart of the man and his beast.

Can one woman’s faith in a love that conquers all erase the scars of her dragon?

It’s a little different but its not drastic so don’t freak out! I can’t wait to read more of her stories because this was awesome. I laughed and cried as usual. I loved Olive she’s so sweet but dammit she’s taking control and not taking no for an answer to talk to her mate. He accidentally hurts her when he was having a dream and after that he freaks and stays away. Well…she’s done with his pouting! Her dragon can’t help but love her for that. Kellen’s been through some horrible things! The antagonist in this book was horrendous and so needed to be stopped! I’m not giving anything away..well not much! There are lots of things interesting in this book…little teasers that I am sure we’ll read in future books. So...I RECOMMEND! LOVE LOVE LOVE it!

Once again our dragons and their mates come together to defeat evil. Don't forget our feline friends as well.

This book is about the scarred Guardsmen, Kellan. The backstory behind his scars was revealed, and it turns out Kellan was scarred both externally and internally. Kellan received his scars from an attack on a poor village, while he was trying to save the lives of three little girls. And thanks in part to the malice of one truly evil villain. Kellan was deeply impacted by those he couldn't save and blamed himself. Once his brethren tracked the man responsible they have been on the case ever since. His mate and Dove shifter, Olive has something to say about Kellan's scars and wants to help her mate finally heal from those old wounds. But to do so, the gang have to settle the score with the man responsible for Kellan's scars. There is another merging mating forming in this book, I think it got started in the previous book, but its mentioned a bit in this one. Olive has to break Kellan's defenses to get him to allow her in and allow her close. They have a mild courtship when compared to the other couples, except that one incident. Bring on the next one.

Don’t Let Your Guard Down Just Yet!!!

Case in Point:

Yes, folks in many states the age limits for getting a COVID-19 Vaccination is tumbling. But, please don’t let your guard down yet, there’s more to the story that you may not be aware of.

My oldest daughter lives in PA with her husband and the bright 2 1/2 year old daughter they adopted a year ago. They have faithfully taken every precaution recommended. She works from home most days, while he works on construction wearing appropriate gear. Riley wears a mask at her daycare center. Until recently, they have avoided gatherings with people they didn’t know.

Easter weekend, they attended a small family gathering. Sandra didn’t say, but it was undoubtedly outdoors. You would think that everyone would be safe. The older adults were getting their vaccinations as soon as possible, so they were covered.

Two days later one young man who was there tested positive. A week later my daughter started feeling poorly. She skipped church on Sunday because she didn’t feel good. Thinking she needed something for a sinus infection, she called her doctor. The doctor sent her to get a Covid test to rule that out. She stopped by CVS for a 3 day test. During this timeframe, she found herself not being able to taste things.

The three days went by, and she checked in with the pharmacy. They had no record of her having a test done! So she went to the local Urgent Care clinic for a Rapid Covid test. In no time at all, she found herself speaking to their doctor with a positive result!

The next day, her husband went for a test, while they took the baby in later in the evening when it would be quieter. At this point, neither adult has had a vaccination. The county where they live isn’t giving them to people in their 40’s yet. The surrounding counties have just now dropped the age requirement down to that level but are understandably swamped with calls. No appointments are available.

Now she, at least, will have to wait until she recovers from the virus to get her shots. People, remember that just because the state government has lowered the age limit to the next bracket, doesn’t mean every county falls in line. They want to, I’m sure, but they have to take supplies into consideration. It may take a few weeks or more, for your local area to start giving vaccinations to your age group. In the meantime, keep following all the precautions!

Wolves of Willow Bend Book 12: Ghost Wolf

Finally! We get to hear the story of Julian and Dallas.

Most Lone Wolves have a story—a pack they left behind, a love they lost, or worse, one they buried. Some leave their packs to roam because they crave freedom, and independence. Some leave because in their hearts, they can’t bear to stay. Some leave because they see no way to go back…

Packs attacked. Humans forced to turn. Enforcers murdered.

Julian has been juggling the conflict without a real target for months, they always seem to be just one step behind the Volchitsa and even the wolves they’ve captured can’t tell them enough. With the fate of the packs resting squarely on his shoulders, Julian, the Chief Enforcer, will swallow his pride to seek out the one wolf he knows can help them all, the one who seems to know all the players, who can think like them…if anyone can find the Volchitsa it’s the ghost he’s hunted for decades…

WOW! We have watched from afar throughout the series Chief Enforcer Julian and the complicated dance he weaves with the rogue wolf Dallas Dalton. A romance in the past had been hinted at and now we get the whole story. And what a story it is. Dallas is fire and Julian is ice but when they get together it gets really steamy. This story took me on an emotional rollercoaster ride that I have yet to recover from. This is a fantastic story and although it can be read standalone I recommend reading the rest of this fantastic series first.

I received an ARC of this book, I am reviewing of my own volition.

Oh what a tangled web! This book takes us on a journey through past and present. Written with glimpses of history woven into the lives of Julian and Dallas starting in 1971 and progressing to the present.
Now Julian has always been a bit mysterious, and no one really knows much about him outside his chief enforcer role. This book changes all that and more.

We've seen glimpses of Dallas especially where Chrystal is concerned and we've seen her with Julian on one memorable occasion. Now a truce needs to be formed and a solution found to the Volchitsa problem, for which it appears Dallas may hold the key.

The pressure is on and this book is one OMG after another. However it is the past that truly engages me. A young Dallas and an enforcer named Julian.

I expected this book to be hot in more ways than one and trust me it surpasses all expectations. There is shock and surprise as Julian and Dallas spar verbally and physically.

Truths beyond games, a trial, an Alpha Conclave and more send this book to the top of my all time favorites.

I loved this story of Julian and Dallas Dalton. Julian and Dallas hid their romance very well from everyone because if they were discovered then one or both of them would have been killed as it was against the rules of Lone Wolves and Enforcers. This was a well developed story with each characters back story. I liked the way the author gave a running commentary on their past history and where they are now. Discovering that he has a child, who is not only the Willow Bend Omega but also mated to a Hunter was a total surprise. It was nice to also catch up with Margo and the other Enforcers.
My favorite series. Looking forward to continue reading more about the Willow Bend Wolves.

Didn’t want this one to end but overall, I was a bit disappointed in the ending and the reasoning behind what all has taken place. For him to spend all that time and go at them so successfully just for him to be that foolish to end it by himself was silly. The way the last fight was going I just knew we were going to see what all the alphas could do together, so I was a little let down. The story behind what really happened with them I really enjoyed but after reading Chrystal’s story I knew what the outcome was going to be.

He took to her way better than I thought necessary from the beginning and with what happened when he she took off in China or wherever they were I knew it was more to the story. I wanted to know more about him and his connection to his pack, finding out who he was related to was good. I’m still wanting something to go down in Delta Crescent though, it seems like they have been left out of the stories. Hopefully this isn’t coming to an end because I really enjoy the reads

5.0 out of 5 stars Loved Karter and Ronan

After seeing Commander Karter in several books and watching him interact with Dara (Chloe, Seth, and Dorian's daughter), we have begged Grace for him to get a mate and she answered us with this great story.

(To understand my review, I just want to put it out there, I read for story and could care less about the sexy times)

This story drops us right into the middle of the Hive war, as mentioned in the previous books, the Battlegroup Karter is actively holding back the Hive in sector 437. Karter was tested years and years ago and has been too busy to have any thoughts of a bride. Ronan is also a Commander and is just as intense as Karter due to the heavy weight of responsibility demanded by their positions. Erica has always loved the stars and jumped at her chance to be among them, especially after her testing as part of a Prillon sandwich (her words, not mine).

This story is told from all three POV and we get to see just how tortured Karter is and how much weight is on his very broad shoulders. I really loved Karter and Ronan and even though Erica is just a feisty as the other Interstellar Brides, I guess I just wasn't as impressed with her as I was with the other brides - she does love both of them and fights for a true mating but that's about it. BUT, Karter and Ronan make up for any deficiencies I felt Erica had. The new development in the war is a major game changer and the Coalition is going to have their hands full dealing with it.

I love this series and while I have received advanced copies of these books (yes, I joined Grace's review team to get my hands on these books as soon as possible), I have purchased every single one. Purchasing these books and writing reviews so that others have a chance to discover this talented author's work is my way of supporting her and my habit 🙂

Title: The Commanders' Mate
Series: Interstellar Brides Program
Author: Grace Goodwin
Designation: Book 15 of Series, Can Be Read As Standalone, No Cliffhanger, *Novella Length #sciencefiction #romance #spaceopera #action #adventure #triad #MFM
My Rating: Five Sexy Sci-Fi Stars****
*All of the books in the Interstellar Brides Program feature one woman finding love with one (or more) sexy warriors, usually alien but sometimes human. Each can be read as a standalone, but there is an underlying interconnected conflict with crossover characters, which is why this reviewer recommends reading the books of the series sequentially. If you're a fan of erotic sci-fi romance, it's one decision you'll never regret and will certainly enrich your reading experience. There is no page or word count given but this reviewer estimates this book to be a longer novella with approximately 40,000 words or 120 pages.

I adore science fiction, completely smitten with hot, alpha aliens, and totally addicted to romance, so when I can get the perfect trifecta of all three, I'm in reader heaven! And Grace Goodwin delivers every single time! I found Goodwin's work a few years ago and have been hooked ever since. She's one of only five Sci-Fi Romance authors on my automatic buy list. When Goodwin has a new release, I never even bother to read the blurb or reviews; I just one-click and dive in! I own all 15 books in her original Interstellar Brides Program Series, all 9 of Interstellar Brides: The Ascension Saga, all 6 of Interstellar Brides: The Colony, plus all 5 of the Interstellar Brides: The Virgins Series and, like all of her followers, anxiously await each new release. Yeah, I think it's safe to say I'm a fan, and I've never regretted a single purchase! But I digress, so let's talk about this book. Fans have been clamoring for Commander Karter's story and one thing I can say about Goodwin, she listens to her readers. This was probably one of the most highly anticipated books of the series and Goodwin delivered in spades. There were so many things I enjoyed about The Commanders' Mate. It's fast-paced, easy to follow, and well written, as always, with snappy dialogue, an intriguing storyarc, and a large cast of engaging characters. But before I continue, I'd like to say - WOOHOO! WE FINALLY FIND OUT COMMANDER KARTER'S FULL NAME! It's Makaed Karter, aka Kaed! Hey, what can I say? I've been smitten with the enigmatic Prillon warrior battleship commander since he was first introduced at the beginning of the series and like my fellow fans, I've begged shamelessly for his story. I knew it would take a very special woman to lasso this space cowboy! But Erica Roberts from Earth was so much more than just special, she was intelligent, feisty, courageous, and determined, with a capital D. She was also extremely tenacious, like a dog with a bone, and refused to allow anything to stop her from getting her man, or I should say men since Prillon warriors always mate in pairs. And she was an astrologer! How cool is that?!? Pretty darn cool, I'd say, especially since her background and knowledge in Astrology not only helped save the day but also was instrumental in saving every single person on Battleship Karter! As I said, Prillon warriors mate in pairs, two males for each female, a primary and a secondary, but I had no idea who Karter would choose as his second. I knew he'd have to be exceptional and Prillon Warrior and Coalition Intelligence Core Commander Ronan Wothar was definitely one hunk of hot alpha love! WARNING, WARNING, WILL ROBINSON! Sexy times ahead! lol... Ronan had been Karter's life-long best friend and chosen second, that is until 5 years ago when he was reported killed in action. Thankfully, Ronan wasn't dead; he had been working with the Coalition's super-secret spy organization dubbed the Intelligence Core. If you've read Fighting for Their Mate, you may recall it featured human female warrior Commander Chloe Phan, who at one time was also an agent for the Intelligence Core. These guys don't play around. They're a nasty bunch of spies. But Ronan was tired of his isolated existence with the I.C. and truly grateful for the chance at having a mate. But poor Kaed... when it rains, it pours for this battle-hardened commander. In one fell swoop, he simultaneously discovers his long-thought-to-be-dead friend is actually alive, AND he finally has a mate, and not just any mate but a 99% compatibility match! Oh my! Kaed had given up on ever being matched by the Interstellar Brides Program and resigned himself to being alone. Actually, he preferred it that way. His life was dangerous and full of responsibility. He was dedicated to his fleet and it was his job to ensure the safety of the thousands of warriors and families under his command. He had no time for a relationship or a mate. But the heart wants what the heart wants, despite trying to convince himself otherwise. Kaed was determined to send Erica away and never allow her to wear his mating collar. Yeah, good luck with that, Kaed. Remember when I said Erica was feisty and determined? Well, she had other ideas and to heck with the merciless Hive enemies. Erica was hellbent on having her happy ending, with both Kaed and Ronan. And when Erica makes up her mind, there's no changing it. It was a battle of wills, but we all know women are actually the stronger sex, right? When a woman sets her sights on something, nothing will stand in her way. Kaed and Ronan had no idea just what a fierce human female was capable of doing, especially in the name of love! Ronan capitulated fairly quickly, but Kaed was so much slower to acquiesce. I wanted to smack him upside his handsome head - several times! But it was so much fun watching the three of them dance around each other, all the while trying to save the ship, save the day, and outmaneuver the Hive. Sigh... So romantic!

So, did I like this book? Yes, very much! Would I recommend it? You bet, and I am but only for adults. If you enjoy fast-paced, well-written science fiction brimming with action, adventure, danger, drama, engaging storyarcs, nail-biting conflicts, endearing characters, sexy heroes, sassy heroines, steamy passion, erotic sex scenes, and heartwarming romance, then this entire series is screaming your name. Will I read this author again? Abso-freakin-lutely! Just as soon as she releases her next book! And finally, was I entertained? Completely! I was glued to my seat, gasping for breath with a death grip on my ereader as the pages flew as quickly as the time! Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read! Well done, Grace Goodwin! Well done, indeed. And FYI, we, your fans, are still waiting for Warden Egara's story and not so patiently, I might add! lol...

This book is full of emotion, an intense battle, plenty of steam, a strong willed woman who won't settle for anything less than she deserves and the connection that the Prillon mates all have with each other. This book will make you smile and laugh, put you on edge, perhaps shed a tear or two and leave you feeling good. I went through the entire gamut of emotions and LOVED the story. When you finish the book, you HAVE to go to Grace Goodwin's home page and read the bonus epilogue. It is priceless.

Eventide of the Bear (The Wild Hunt Legacy Book 3)

She risked her life to save a human child. Pain was her reward.

All her life, Emma longed for someone to love. Instead, disaster sees the brand-new bard banished from her people for long lonely years. Injured saving a child, the werebear has to steal food from humans, breaking shifter Law. The territory’s Cosantir and his lethal grizzly warrior catch her in the act. To her surprise, she’s healed and welcomed. Obviously, they don’t know her past. But oh, she can’t resist being around other shifters—especially the captivatingly powerful warrior. Maybe she can stay…just a little while.

As a grizzly warrior, Ben is ordered to house the pretty werebear until she heals. His littermate abandoned him, his home is empty, and he’s been alone for a long time. Intelligent and sweet and lushly curved, Emma is a delight…even if she is oddly reticent about her past. Although having sworn off females, he’s sorely tempted by this one. Damned if he doesn’t want to keep her, secrets or not.

Females were trouble. Years past, one split Ryder from his littermate. Now the panther shifter is returning to Ben, bringing his cub with him, a four-year-old he stole from the abusive female. To Ryder’s annoyance, his brother is sheltering a wounded bear. A female. Even worse, she’s beautiful and gentle and loving—damned if he’s going to fall for that act again. But when the dark of the moon arrives and death reigns supreme, he’ll discover that not all females are alike.

In a world filled with hellhounds and pixies, can three lonely shifters and one silent cub create a new family together?

Emma is banished from her territory unjustly and is forced to live as an outcast. She stays mostly in her bear form, scrounging for food and hibernating. When a family is attacked by a hellhound, Emma risks her life to save the child. Badly injured, she is forced to raid human campsites for food. When the guardian of the territory and his enforcer set a trap for her, she is caught in the act of breaking the law. Expecting to be punished, instead she is taken to the healer, and placed with the enforcer, a grizzly shifter named Ben, for protection.

Ben is lonely, too. His littermate and he split several years ago, and he has lived alone ever since. He is drawn to Emma, and shelters her gladly.

Ryder, Ben's littermate, learns the woman he and Ben split over, has a cub—his daughter. Angered by his mate's selfishness, he left her and vowed no woman would ever have power over him again. He hadn't known about the cub. and when he goes to check it out, he finds an abused child, mute from the trauma. He takes his child and reunites with his brother. Together the four of them try to make a home.

And then the mother comes to reclaim her child.

As I’m reading this series I can’t help wondering why this author is capable of holding my interest........
My conclusion is that her books is not just another story, it’s packed with suspense, feelings, action, sweet love scenes, realistic characters (for a shifter) and amazing world building.

There’s no unnecessary descriptions of surroundings
Plenty of dialogues
The characters and the chemistry between them is coming through in a subtle way.
A storyline that progresses steadily and with all the ups and downs it keeps me on the edge all the time.

I have many authors I one-click books from but only a few I reread and Cherise Sinclair is absolutely one of them.

Excellent series and all the books can be read as a standalone but I recommend starting from the beginning.

This book, heck this series is just good. This author not only does a great job writing stories in general but taking tales of paranormal and Otherfolk and making them with a flair that's distinctly hers. And while this is a hot and still sweet romance with menage it is one centered around the female. But it's done in a way that there are no closed doors or favoritism, and keeps the feeling of one larger relationship with multiple people rather then multiple different relationships that happen to share 1 person. I personally prefer the relationships where everyone is at least open, and sharing like here, verses one with closed doors and lots of rules. And while there's action, drama and suspense this story ended on the most adorable heartwarming HEA, would definitely recommend.

Emma is a bear shifter. When she went to her first Gathering, two males fought over her and killed each other. She is blamed and banished. After three years of living alone in the forest, her leg is mauled by a hellhound in her attempt to save some human kids. She is rescued and lives with Ben also a bear shifter. He takes care of her as she heals. His brother shows up with his little girl. Ben hasn't seen Ryder, a panther shifter, in years. The cub was abused by her mother and doesn't speak. He is distrustful of females. But little by little he starts to fall for Emma. Ben has already fallen for her but doesn't want to lifemate because he's afraid she wouldn't be able to birth his cubs. When her leader shows up from her old town, she takes off afraid she will be banished again. But misunderstandings are cleared up and they think it's smooth sailing until Ryder's ex shows up wanting the cub. So now they must prove what a horrible mother she is to protect their little family.
Two bears and a panther fight hellhounds, ex's, and their feelings for each other. Couple of hot sex scenes. I have been waiting for the next book in this series. Was not disappointed!

5.0 out of 5 stars Once again, an amazing, intense, steamy romance - love this series

What has always drawn me to Anna Lowe’s books are the word pictures she paints. I can smell the salty tang of the ocean breeze, I can see the mischief in Joey’s eyes, I can taste the Hawaiian lunch truck food on a picnic at the beach, I can feel the growing attraction between Hailey and Tim… and I can sense the concern of his brothers, friends and fellow shifters as well. When an author can take the time to paint a word picture that transports me into their world, allows a story to build at its own pace and gives me an exciting story with several layers – then I’m going to be hooked on their work for a very long time.

I was easily swept into the world of the Aloha Shifters once again with a very dramatic opening scene that sets the pace for the rest of Rebel Bear. Tim may now be ex-Special Forces but he has no intention at all of getting involved in the mad hunt for the woman running desperately searching for a hiding place or to escape these goons chasing after her. No, he’s no knight in shining armor these days — but his bear has a different reaction. Help her. Save her. Destiny. He might have been successful in ignoring his bear if it weren’t for that smell of shifter excitement of the chase in the air. Reluctantly Tim heads for his future, one that will bring him everything he ever wanted – if he can overcome one woman’s fear of the animal in him.

Hailey had been completely duped by her mother. She knew this dress was the wrong color for a bridesmaid. And that suspicion came true when the jerk she’d been about to break up with tries to stage a forced wedding/proposal in front of a huge crowd, reporters at the ready to capture the whole farce. Since Jonathan wasn’t accepting her repeated No, Hailey did the only thing she could think of… she ran. Which might have worked if there weren’t several henchmen of Jonathan’s after her as well – or if she hadn’t backed herself into a corner with no escape. Why she trusted the strong male voice on the other side of the door she had no idea, but she did, and really he was her only way out of this mess. Putting her faith into a stranger’s hands might not have been the logical choice, but she felt safe and that feeling alone was worth the risk. Soon she’d be accepting the kindness of strangers… and entering into a world she never dreamed existed.

Rebel Bear brings us an engaging, at times intense, romance with more than its fair share of potholes. Tim knows that Hailey is his mate but her intense fear of animals from something in her past, to the onslaught of her fears when encountering what cannot be true in her world will keep Tim from confessing his own secret. He will do everything in his power to keep Hailey safe from those who want to do her harm… but if he can figure out a way to have her in his life that would be the perfect solution. There are a variety of villains in this story. Some are truly vile and dangerous with an agenda that has been planned for a very long time. Others are the more selfish, self-serving kind, Hailey’s mother in fact. And an older known enemy will be brought into this current situation with menacing possibilities. There is a bit of several things going on in Rebel Bear, some that will, I’m sure, be revealed in the rest of the series.

I loved Rebel Bear, easily got caught up in this magic once again. We’ll run into old friends, learn a bit more about several situations and simply sit back and enjoy the unfolding romance of Tim and Hailey. I would highly recommend this story and series to any Paranormal Romance or Shifter Romance reader who loves a good solid story, believable characters, secondary characters that bring the book to life, vile villains to hate and a strong love story to enjoy. (and yes, I know this review went on too long… but I did love this story)

This series is about the pearls of Desire and is a 5 stories complete this series. This is the second story. The character of Tim who doesn't believe the Haley is his mate although the bear knows it. Hailey is a successful model whose mother is pushing her toward marriage. The character of Hailey develops because have the people who rescued her. This review is written after listening to the audio version of this book. I had previously read the book and enjoyed it so much I just had to listen to it too.

This book about Timber and Hailey, we met Timber aka Tim in the previous book when he and his brothers arrived on this island paradise to work security for their friends. When Tim meets Hailey she is running, she got up that morning thinking she was going to be a Bridesmaid at the wedding of her boyfriend's sister. She had been planning on breaking off her relationship with Jonathan but didn't want to spoil his sister's wedding for him. So she enters the wedding space to find she's been ambushed, for want of a better word, Jonathan goes down on one knee and proposes so THEIR WEDDING can take place now!

This plan has been concocted by Jonathan and her mother (a really greedy, selfish piece of work in my opinion, she tries to tell them both NO but they won't take no for an answer the only option left to her is to RUN! Run she does straight into Tim who helps her ESCAPE and offers her a place of safety. Tim has already recognised her as his fated mate but how to convince her.

Hailey is invited to stay with Tim and help him fix up a property belonging to Boon, another bear shifter, did I mention Tim is a bear shifter? Whilst they spend a week together working on the property and getting to know each other Hailey is falling for Tim but Tim is holding back, could Hailey love a shifter?

When Hailey is attacked by a wolf shifter working for Jonathan Tim and his brother Connor save her but she is so frightened by the experience that Tim feels he can't tell her what he is. So despite a deep love on his part he decides to keep his secret and loose Hailey. But once again Destiny steps in and forces both their hands, the truth comes out in the most dramatic way, Anna Lowe never does things by halves, I was on the edge of my seat wondering how Tim and Hailey were going to survive this part of the story. I loved this book I loved getting to know Hailey and watching her character grow and I adored Tim, I can't look at a door frame now without thinking of him - you will know why when you listen to this book. I can't really say anything further without giving out too many spoilers, if you have read the blurb you know what to expect but whatever your expectations - this book will exceed them. I loved it

Aloha Shifters is by far my most favourite series to date, this book is the second book in Pearls of Desire, a follow on from Aloha Shifters but I personally think of it as one series. The writing style of Anna Lowe is so very good and easy to follow along, her descriptions of the places and the people make you feel like you've met them and the depth she gives to all her characters is just incredible her words paint a picture and that picture in painted beautifully by Kelsey Osborne who does the most amazing job of narrating this book. I can't praise her or Anna Lowe highly enough. Bring on the next book I say!

This book was given me as a gift and I am voluntarily writing my review.

Hailey was going to her "boyfriend's" sisters wedding in Hawaii, sure why not. As she goes to walk down the aisle, ask eyes are on her?? She gets the idea and no no no it's not happening! She runs away, fast and hard as possible. A mall is a great place to hide! While passing in the food court, she eyes a hunk with emerald green eyes. Yum and suddenly distracted. She runs into a department and hides. Timber's bear is frantic about helping this woman in despair, go he goes after and protects her. His bear thinks it's the best idea around! Being a shifter is a closely guarded secret, so why help a human?

OMG I absolutely loved this story. Rory is such a bad ass so full of life and laughter to find him in a coma waiting to die from hellhound poisoning was traumatizing. Claire the phoenix matriarch is his mate and on her way to heal him but as luck would have it she never arrives to the lair as planned because an evil griffin who plans to be her mate as well kidnaps her. And that my friends is all I will reveal of the story. Just know that there is plenty of emotional ups and downs as well as action to be found within, of course there is also romance in these pages.

Do yourself a favor and grab a copy. Ms. Mills gets better with every story she writes and I am so glad that I was given an ARC for an honest review and hope to buy a copy as well.

Rory is the youngest dragon brother and something of a jokester . While he is an excellent fighter and Dragon Guard, he still tends not to take things to seriously, until he is bitten by a hellhound on his last mission, and unless some kind of miracle happens, he's going to be a dead dragon. Enter his miracle in the form of Claire a Phoenix (Sun Bird, Thunderbird) whose tears can heal anything including hellhound bites. Just one problem, a Griffin has decided Claire is his mate and he intervenes by sending his brother and a bunch of other griffins to bring her "home" , just as she's riding to heal Rory. Of course with Rory in a coma, the other Dragons set up a rescue plan to go and get Claire back, but Rory takes a turn for the worse, and a close family friend lends him some strength and we'll, your going to need to read the book to learn the rest !! I don't do spoilers !! Just know that this is one of the best of the 13 books in the series. There is action, angst, love, fear, and several new key characters are introduced. All while keeping beloved characters from the previous books front and center. While this is a stand alone book and you could read it without knowing anything from the previous books, you will enjoy it to its fullest by reading the other books in the series. Kudos Julia Mills 5 ''s . Can't wait for book 14, and anyone who says 13 is an unlucky number, should read this 13th book of this series !!

I mean, that's unless the hellhound poison coursing through my veins doesn't kill me first. Good times. Good times.' If you've been following the series, then you know Rory is the youngest of the O'Rourke boys; a great guardsman and fighter but also the practical joker who rarely takes things seriously. Until he winds up in a coma from the poison of a hellhound.
Claire is the phoenix matriarch. She's also Rory's fated mate. There's just one problem. She's trying to get to her mate and a Griffin has decided he wants Claire and her powerful abilities. Julia Mills has once again shown how fate plays a HUGE role in the lives of these Guardians and their lives. Her Dragon, His Demon by Julia Mills

Her Dragon is strong and loyal, a leader among his kin. He makes her feel things she never thought possible and…he is her only hope for survival.

His Demon is beautiful and alluring, the other half of his soul. She is the One the Universe made for him and… she is his only hope for eternal love.

Together they must battle a darkness unlike any other led by Hell’s Chancellor himself. It’s not just their love that’s at stake…this time it’s their very existence.

Key Lime Pie

So many people think that making pies is difficult. That’s not necessarily true. Take this pie for instance. Believe it or not, it only takes 3 ingredients besides the pie crust!

This recipe was given to me when we first moved into the place where we live now. I don’t know who created it originally but since it was freely given to me, I am freely passing it on.

Rebel Dragon by Anna Lowe

Off to Maui for a relaxing vacation? Hardly. Surfer Jenna Monroe is on the run from a stalker who lusts after her blood. Instead of combing the beach for lost treasures, she’s forced to venture deep into the terrifying world of shapeshifters. There, even the good guys are hard to trust — all except for the hot-blooded rebel she can’t get out of her head.

Claimed by the Vikens by Grace Goodwin

The only thing former Coalition warriors Calder, Zed and Axon have in common are long years spent battling the Hive, and their eagerness to claim their personal reward—their own Interstellar Bride.

Thunder Wolf by Heather Long

Most Lone Wolves have a story—a pack they left behind, a love they lost, or worse, one they buried. Some leave their packs to roam because they crave freedom, and independence. Some leave because in their hearts, they can’t bear to stay. Some leave because they see no way to go back…

Wolves of Willow Bend Book 11: Thunder Wolf

Most Lone Wolves have a story—a pack they left behind, a love they lost, or worse, one they buried. Some leave their packs to roam because they crave freedom, and independence. Some leave because in their hearts, they can’t bear to stay. Some leave because they see no way to go back…

Enforcer John Nelson has pulled double duty for months, keeping an eye on the Lone Wolves who are his charges as well as those that once answered to Margo Montgomery. More of a loner than most, he doesn’t mind going months at a time without seeing another Enforcer as was his typical pattern or at least it was until the formation of the Three Rivers pack disrupted lives everywhere. Now he must divide his time between watching the upstarts and checking on his charges while working with the other Enforcers to anticipate the next move by the Russian Volchitsa. No Enforcer expected to find themselves among the hunted, but when they target the one wolf he can tolerate, John defies orders to go after her.

Hadley Sexton is a bit of a wild card even for an Enforcer, and she loves being unpredictable. More of a mother hen than she likes to admit, she keeps an eye on her Lone Wolves, and treats them more like family than charges…but when three Enforcers are brutally murdered over the course of three weeks, Hadley discovers someone has been shadowing her trail and they aren’t alone. It is a dangerous game with a brutal enemy, one willing to kill the wolves she’s sworn to protect to draw her out.

For Hadley, John will break every rule, but will he be in time?

This is the second book in the Guardians of the Wolves arc within the Wolves of Willow Bend series. It is another great read, one that I enjoyed a lot. The Russian Volchista continues to strike at the packs and now the Enforcers. They seem to operate two steps ahead of the Enforcers, striking out in a big/small pattern. Hadley, a former Willow Bend pack member and long time Enforcer, calls her lone wolves together to the Lodge for safety after several lone wolves are killed as a lure for their assigned Enforcer, who was then captured and killed. Hadley is taking no chances, especially when a storm takes out their power and she has no way of communicating with the outside world. Then the Volchista come and, in the aftermath, Hadley and her wolves flee.

John Nelson is an Enforcer with special abilities, and something is telling him Hadley is in trouble. Defying Julian's direct orders to stay in Willow Bend following a Volchista attack there, he drives three days to get to the Lodge, where he finds evidence of a battle and a quick clean-up of the scene. But he also finds a hidden message...Hadley is alive and on her way to Oregon. Which is now John's destination as well, because Hadley is his friend. And she's also his to protect.

Thunder Wolf is a terrific story that I probably rushed through hoping to get to the next book which is the story I’ve been waiting for. Julians book is coming! But enough of that. Thunder Wolf is pretty heavy. There is a lot going on in the enforcers attempt to avoid all out war with the Russian Volchitsa. Enforcer Hadley Sexton is doing her job when she and her charges are attacked by members of the Volchitsa. One of her wolves is killed and two are seriously wounded. She is pissed off. She moves her charges to safe locations and hopes to lure the Volchitsa away from the others by using herself as bait. It works but just as she is pinning a Volchitsa to question Enforcer John Nelson comes in and kills it thinking he is saving Hadley. John and Hadley work together to discover the Volchitsa’s plans. In doing so they discover each other as well. We learn a lot more about Chief Enforcer Julian as well. This book reads like a paranormal James Bond novel with humor and love. I loved it and can’t wait for the next.

Then again I want to get back to Delta Crescent and maybe even Diesel, those two really stand out and seeing that we didn’t get to see Serafina’s pack in action on home turf I don’t want it to be over before we can.

With so much interest put on Peter I’m wondering if he was in Three Rivers and who gave him a drawer. Hopefully he ties into what’s happening seeing he just so happened to take off before the attack. Great read, just adds to the suspense of wanting to know what’s going to happen next.

Two enforcers break all the rules and break the puzzle of the Russian outcasts who have been terrorizing the packs. Ms. Long continues her brilliantly-plotted tale in amazing fashion. The Enforcers are hunted, tortured and killed. The result is to make the remaining Enforcers rabid about eradicating the marauding Russians. Hadley makes a fantastic break in tracking down the Russians. She and John take care of all of them and capture one who helps them understand the motivation behind the actions happening in the packs. Much remains to be done, but things are changing, both with the Enforcers and within the packs. Lots of action moving the plot forward makes this a riveting read. Can't wait to read the last book in the series.
