Guarding Her Dragon (Dragon Guard Series Book 17)

What happens when a Christmas elf with way too much sass for her little pointed ears finds a centuries old Guardsman buried in the snow?
Well, she takes him home and nurses him back to health, of course.

If only everything was that easy. With six older sisters, two baby reindeer and an evil gnome of an auntie hellbent on world domination, Elsa’s got her hands full.

It’s gonna take more than a little Elven magic and the love of her dragon to make it to Christmas Eve, but this little elf is not giving up. She’s guarding her dragon with all she’s got and finding out the best things in life might just come wrapped in glittering green scales.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advanced Reader Copy of this book.

She’s an elf. He’s a dragon. Elsa frees him from his dark magical prison that’s left him frozen for years. She knows he’s special therefore she helps him. Elsa is powerful but keeps her magic locked up tight because she fears it a little. Quinn is one of the lost Guardman Enforcers. When he’s rescued by a beautiful elf he’s very confused and has no memory and his dragon isn’t coming forth. He knows she’s special to him but cant quite remember why. After seeing a woman who appears to be part of Elsa’s family it all comes back and this is the woman who put him and his brethren in magical prisons. Is Elsa and her magic the key to healing his Dragon? Will they be able to defend themselves once that evil gnome comes for Elsa’s magic?

A freakin elf?! How cool is that, y’all? I LOVED Elsa and Quinn. She is a real spitfire and is the youngest and is done with all her sisters teasing her and annoying her. She wants an adventure that isn’t where her siblings are. Well…she sorta gets that adventure in the form of a dragon mate in Quinn. She’s very sweet and funny and beautiful! A big warm heart to boot. Quinn is just adorable and sexy! He’s sweet and protective but understands what Elsa needs in a mate. Not someone who tells her what to do but is a partner as well. They worked so well together. It’s a Christmas tale that will make your laugh and lighten your heart. Loved the book! I will say it was a shame that his brethren weren’t able to taste that revenge on that horrible woman.

This is book #17 of the awesome Dragon Guard series.
Elsa O'Leary and her family live in the Artic Circle. She is a very special Elf that has special powers which she locks into herself as she is a little afraid of it. She and her sister are going to find a Christmas tree and come across the silver, coffin like box. Elsa can tell there is a man in there but the box is surrounded by evil and keeping him trapped. The man happens to be Quinn MacKenna who is an Enforcer of the Dragon Guardsmen. He and his friends were cursed by an evil witch and placed in the coffins. He slowly regains his memory.

Elsa's Aunt Geneva, a wicked gnome, comes for a visit and tries to get Elsa to come and stay with her. Quinn hears her talking and realizes she is the witch who cursed him. He yells at her to get away from his mate. Aunt Geneva takes off. Geneva wants Elsa's powers for herself. She comes back with her buggers and tries to get Elsa. With the magic between Quinn and Elsa powers, they manage to destroy Geneva and her buggers.
Elsa wants Quinn but she wants a partner, not someone who tells her what to do all the time. Ah, the complexities of love. Will they work things out? You'll have to read for yourselves to find out the outcome.

I just love this series and each one gets better than the last one. This book was no exception and I highly recommend it and the whole series. Who wouldn't love books with dragons and all kinds of magical beings! This has action, suspense and some real belly laughs and of course hot romance! I'm eagerly waiting for the next one.

I have read all 17 books in this series, and can't wait for the next one!

Quinn is one of the lost Dragon Guard that has been considered dead for over 100 years.

Elsa is an Elf, with some powerful magic that she keeps hidden.

While out looking for a Christmas tree with her sister, Elsa kicks some snow and finds a silver coated coffin. Using her magic she is able to open it and finds a frozen "popsicle" man inside. Her sister wants nothing to do with the man, what if he is evil, but Elsa can't leave him, she feels she has to help him.

Quinn has been locked away, unable to communicate with his fellow brothers in the Dragon Guard. Once Elsa gets him safe and thawed, he is unable to remember who he is or what happened to him.

As Quinn begins to remember who he is and what happened, he also realizes that the aunt of his Elf (mate) is the one that locked him away.

A dragon and an elf, perfect for Christmas time. One might think an elf, really? But Julia Mills has written a wonderful storyline that has humor, magic, action, and of course the love of a mate.

The only thing keeping me from giving it 5 stars, is I wanted to read about Elsa getting to meet the other dragons and the Dragon Mating Ceremony. Always enjoy the preparation the Dragons go through to prepare.

Although you can read this book as a stand alone, I highly recommend reading the entire series.

Another lost Guardsman is found as a mansicle in a silver coffin.

Elsa, a elf & her sister Mona were out getting a tree for Christmas for their mom when Elsa found the silver coffin & decided to open it. With her elven magic of course & in there she not only finds a mansicle but, also her mate.

Quinn once he was thawed out at 1st didn’t know his name but what he did know was that he immediately felt something for Elsa.

& as the days go by with Elsa’s family taking care of him to get well enough to remember his name & how he got there he also realizes that Elsa is his mate.

But, to find out more you’ll have to read the book.
