Highlander’s Scarred Angel: Beasts Of The Highlands Book 2

Do you remember the old Lays Potato Chip commercial? “Nobody can eat just one?” This series rapidly became like that for me. For the life of me, I can’t remember what it was about these stories that first drew me to them. Having read one, I just absolutely had to read the rest. These are stories that are 100% SFW!

Other girls desire a handsome Prince. She needs a warrior.

After defeating the Munroes and saving their homeland; Fionnaghall, one of the four Ross sisters has to return as a ruler.

Cenna is the third youngest of sisters and a brave warrior despite her angelic looks. Her oldest sister Godet is married to Laird Gordon MacDonell. His brother Tristan, will accompany her on her way to Fionnaghall. He looks more like a handsome prince than a warrior at first.

Tristan has an inclination towards Cenna, but in their first meeting, she threatens to cut his throat! She will later realize his scarred body does not match his pretty face…

When Cenna is abducted by a fierce enemy, the two will truly understand how they feel for each other.

Will it be too late though? Is Cenna going to make it out alive and save Fionnaghall with Tristen?

There is entertainment at the beginning of the story, and my enjoyment only increased with each new situation that arose. HIGHLANDER’S SCARRED ANGEL has countless adventures that are creatively intriguing, where humorous moments, emotional incidents, and even dangerous exploits are expertly interconnected. I could be laughing one instant and then be in fear of what would happen to the characters that I had come to adore. Alisa Adams makes the whole book captivating with her unique style of writing, and every scene kept me thoroughly engaged.

After being forced from her home and having to seek protection from a neighboring clan, Cenna Ross is glad to once again return to her castle called Fionnaghall. Since the parents of she and three sisters are no longer alive, one of the siblings must manage any tenants still on the property. With her warrior-like abilities, Cenna will be the one to take control, but having Tristan MacDonell accompanying her does not set well. Though she is grateful for how their clan helped when needed, the man whose brother is laird always seems to irritate her in some way, and she plans to do things her way, not his.

The #3 title choice was spelled wrong. I puzzled over why a angel would be scared.spelling is lmportant.well written storyline characters are well defined and humourous. Huge sized men riding little horses with baby birds in their pockets and rats in their beards ,who also wear dresses to disguise themselves.can’t beat that[, Clydesdale horses 🐎 ridden into battles now that is a powerful image to behold.

This author is a hit or miss for me but this one I enjoyed a lot. Was there editing problems, yes but not enough to not figure out what was being said. Is some of the plots outlandish, yes but it still kept me entertained and laughing because the banter was hysterical.

This is a clean story with only kisses but I loved how the romance built. She fought so hard to hate him, but realized she would do anything for him.

The secondary character's added richness to the story. There are some sad heart wrenching moments with villager's that broke my heart. Some thrilling exciting moments that kept me reading.

This has suspense, surprises, HEA, romance builds slowly, and a unique story line. (ljb)
