Their old home is gone. Now they must find a new one in each other’s hearts.

Lord Greysteil McKinnon is a warrior haunted by the ravages of war, and his heart longs to see his home again. But when he returns, all he finds is a charred castle and ruins.

Part of what reminds him his home still remains though as Greysteil, meets again his first kiss, Neilina Eunson, now a beautiful vibrant woman.

Neilina, is looking for her Father, who disappeared during the battle
that destroyed her home and the village of Brough. When she meets Greysteil, she realizes that the sweet boy she once knew is replaced by an icy, hardened warrior.

In the piercing blue eyes that always unsettled her, Neilina tries to find sighs that part of the joyful boy she remembers is still there.

Neilina must pull Greysteil back from the horrors of his past so that they can together rid Brough of the smugglers, and save her Father.

But discovering her Father will break her heart rather than mend it, and Greysteil and Neilina realize that their old home and way of life are forever gone…

I loved Highlanders Fierce Wolf and of course all the Ross sisters books and couldn't wait for the next one. I was curious to see it was Neely's story and boy did I LOVE it! She is a tough women and that is what it took to bring Swan's brother Steil back to the world of the living. Such exciting scenes that were so descriptive you felt you were there. Loved the smuggling angle! And that Cat McKay, Wolf's little sister is in this one and she is not what you expect- but I won't spoil it!
Loved how they fight with out real weapons. These aren't warriors though they want to be like the Ross sisters lol they are just determined ladies! You know they will fall in love in the end but the stories around these girls and how they get there is always so fascinating and unexpected!
The horse Mentieth made me cry! What a wonderful part of the story!!!
I am eager for Cat McKay's story, and the mysterious Kaithria- what are their stories?
Keep these going please! I just love these women and the men that fall in love with them and are their matches. Sigh....so so so so so GOOD!

I really loved the 6 books features great the Ross sisters, and the other women as well. Beautifully written. Did not like having to get an app for the epilogue. Also, did not think the epilogue was as well written as the stories. Felt like you were trying to cram way too much in a time line, and the lovers story took a back seat. Only read one epilogue. Will not go thru all that just to get a history lesson. I will just imagine how it ended
