Harvest: Tangled Vines (prequel)
Xander and Stephanie
As a fan of Ms. Delta James' Wayward Mates series, there are many similarities in the storyline, two wolf shifters meeting, realizing they are fated mates, which she will fight, but never wins. But then, beyond how they come together, accept fate, and the relationship, the story is new. This new series, Tangled Vines, will also revolve around vineyards.
Stephanie Savik is a human, turned wolf against her will, but she accepts what has happened after a year. She has lived under the protection of the DeMedici pack with Marco as her alpha. But, it is time for her to enter a new chapter in her life; training as a vintner, she is moving to California's wine country to work with Evan as an assistant vintner.
Alexander "Xander" Charles was under Damian Steele's command in the military, and when he sustained a life-threatening injury, Damian turned him to save him. Now, he is the Beta of the Luna de Lobo pack. He is also a Master at Torch Light, a BDSM club.
The story will have Stephanie traveling from Italy to California, planning to stay a day in the city, attending club Torch Light, and then on to her new position and pack. What a shock when she is getting settled in at Torch Light and in walks Master Alex—both know the feelings mean their 'fated mate' is nearby. Once Alex sees and talks with Stephanie, no one else will touch his mate—they agree to scene together, and no matter what Stephanie thinks she can manipulate, Alex is one step ahead of her.
"Are we negotiating, or do you just lay down what you want like the big bad wolf?"
"I do have eyes that see you better than most, and part of what I will require does involve my eating you up."
"Xander enjoyed her spirit. She was going to be a challenge, but then he liked a good challenge, especially one that had her figure and whose arousal smelled as sweet as hers did. "I'm going to ask you one last time for your safeword. If I don't get it, I'll assume you have none. You should know, little wolf," he whispered, "I can feel the same thing and mean to claim you as mine. Watch how you speak to me, mate."
"You're awfully confident for a Dom who knows nothing about me."
"I know everything I need to know. You are my fated mate, and you will take your vows to me—one way or another. Mine is the last voice you will hear before succumbing to me."
OMG, I love the angst, the chemistry, the erotic passion between Stephanie and Xander. While this wasn't something she wanted, she also has been around others and knows that "fated-mates" are not something that can be denied or ignored—she knows that they are fated mates and fight it or not, she won't win—so she accepts the fact and enjoys the ride.
"One of the things I learned from what happened to me was that nothing in life is certain and that when something good comes along, you have to grab it with both hands and hang on."
The story is a fast-paced tale, a spin-off from the Wayward Mates series, and has several people from that series. It also will take place in America but will have ties with Europe. There is trouble brewing, Hunters coming, and she-wolves are the target. I can't wait for the next book out later this month.

Corked: Tangled Vines
LINC AND GRACE
As a fan of Ms. Delta James' Wayward Mates series, there are many similarities in the storyline, but this one will involve a human and a wolf. Lincoln Steele is an Alpha, but not over a pack—yet, not a lone wolf. When he meets Grace Marlow, not only is he impressed with her credentials as a chef, he learns she is also a submissive and wants to play at Torch Light—she is his fated mate. Grace is human, and that isn't going to stop Linc—he will wine and dine her and win her over.
This new series, Tangled Vines, will also revolve around vineyards, and in this story, it will have Grace applying to be executive chef for both Lobo Bahia and Torch Light for the Steele brothers.
Linc: "I think I've found our head chef. She's human. She's also my fated mate. No admonition that I should seek another—that turning a human needs her consent and is not for the faint of heart."
Damian: "Look, Linc, consent can be interpreted in many ways. Most of the best pack mistresses had to be persuaded to one degree or another—Skylar Grainger, Catherine DeMedici, Riley Nichols. Then go get your mate, little brother."
Linc and Grace will conclude their business with him, making her an offer, and she will accept; then later, she will meet him at Torch Light. Linc puts the word out that no other Dom will be involved with her—she is his. They will scene together, which is detailed in the story, and then he takes her home.
The chemistry between these two is instant for both of them. Not only do they pair up well as Dom and sub, but as a couple. But, then there is the danger of the Hunters, and before Linc has a chance to wine and dine her, to win her over, she is kidnapped so that they can destroy him. So the story has plenty of angst, danger, along with passion and romance. There are the D/s between them, but also a spanking scene and intense sex scenes. Unlike some fated mates, Grace learns what fated mates mean and what will take place, and she is willing to accept his claim and make her vows.
"Oooh, great sex and courting. I may have hit the jackpot. Careful big guy, I could fall hard for you. I feel like I've been waiting for you my whole life."
"I feel the same way about you, Butter?"
The story is a fast-paced tale, a spin-off from the Wayward Mates series, and has several people from that series. It also will take place in America but will have mentions of Europe. There is trouble brewing, Hunters coming, and she-wolves are the target.

DAMIAN AND KINZIE
As a fan of Ms. Delta James' Wayward Mates series, there are many similarities in the storyline, two wolf shifters meeting, realizing they are fated mates, which she will fight, but never wins. But then, beyond how they come together, accept fate, and the relationship, the story is new. This new series, Tangled Vines, will also revolve around vineyards.
Kinzie Edwards lives in Paris is a freelance reporter for various food and wine publications. She has gone to Florence, Italy, to meet her sister and brother-in-law, Kayla and Evan, and then travel to DeMedici villa. Kinzie and Kayla are identical twins—but one is now a she-wolf, and the other does not know. As they travel, their driver notices something is wrong with the car and instructs them to prepare to jump when he gives them the signal.
"One moment she'd been happy, talking to the driver, the road safe, the day sunny. All of that was shattered when she'd heard Kayla scream and an ear-splitting blast echoed all around her. In that fraction of a second, her world was torn apart."
When Damian and the Luna de Lobo pack are informed that Evan and Kayla did not make it to their destination, the driver and car not found he will immediately head to Italy. Arriving, he feels a call, a pull, and with a helicopter team, he sees the blast site. What appeared to be his two friends, Evan and Kayla, another woman, is unrecognizable. But when he hears a moan, he realizes that 'Kayla' is still alive and a medical team brought in. Damian is called to Kayla—but that is odd; he's known her for years and never felt this way. During her recovery—he will not leave her and eventually returns her to their pack.
"Her soul recognized his in a way she'd dismissed when her sister proclaimed Evan to be her soul mate. Whoever this man was, he provided her a tenuous hold onto her life and eased her suffering."
The plot of this story is heart-wrenching as death comes to not one but two packs. To learn that Kinzie survived and, in many ways, Evan saved her life before dying. Damian has now met and claimed his fated-mate, but she wants nothing to do with him or his claim.
"She briefly wondered how she'd fallen through the looking glass and what might lie on the other side."
"I am your lord and alpha. My word is law for you and the rest of our pack. I miss them, too. I can't imagine what it must be like to lose a twin. Then to wake up after a horrible attack to find your DNA has been over-written without your knowledge, and you're called to a fated mate, a concept completely foreign to you."
The story is a fast-paced tale, a spin-off from the Wayward Mates series, and has several people from that series. It also will take place in America and Europe. There is trouble brewing, Hunters attacking, and she-wolves are the target. Kinzie will come face-to-face with danger, fights off one attacker, and has words with another Hunter.
I love the angst, the chemistry, the erotic passion between Damian and Kinzie. While this wasn't something she wanted, and new to her, she knows how Evan and Kayla were soul-mates and learns that "fated-mates" are not something that can be denied or ignored—she knows that they are fated mates and fight it or not, she won't win—so eventually she'll accept the fact and enjoys the ride—but not before she goes on a merry chase.
"Kinzie knew this wasn't lovemaking; there would be time enough for that later. Right now, she understood his need to dominate her, to ensure she acquiesced and submitted to him in all things."
"I had a very wise woman point out to me that happiness was standing right in front of me if only I had the courage to reach out and take it."
The good, the bad, and the ugly play their roles. Kinzie must accept that her life has changed, her DNA has changed, her sister is gone, but she has a new life and happiness to be found, if she will only open her heart and soul. Damian held out for a fated-mate and will do whatever it takes to keep her and make her happy. The hunters are bold, and now they have a few names and faces to add to their intel.
"You old flame is about to find out what happens when a Hunter becomes one of the hunted."
The story does have power exchange, male dominance, feisty females, who eventually learn submission is powerful. There are explicit scenes and discipline. While the story does not end on a cliffhanger, it does give us insight into the next book.

HUDSON AND SHASTA
As a fan of Ms. Delta James' Wayward Mates series, there are many similarities in the storyline, two wolf shifters meeting, realizing they are fated mates, which she will fight, but never wins. But then, beyond how they come together, accept fate, and the relationship, the story is new. This new series, Tangled Vines, will also revolve around vineyards.
Shasta Warren, daughter of Artemis Warren, sent her to Sonoma Pack because he was tired of dealing with her. She has earned a reputation of being difficult, but Xander Charles, from Sonoma, shows her kindness compared to her father's Beta. When she goes to the Sonoma Pack, she is a bitter she-wolf, uncooperative, but she isn't mistreated.
Hudson Rhodes has recently ended his military time as a Navy SEAL and is ready to take his rightful place as Alpha of Coronado—removing his older brother, Miles, and his mate, Chelsea. After he sets things right again, he will be going to Damian's for a meeting of other Alphas to discuss the issues with the hunters. What a surprise when he arrives and can smell her—his fated mate.
"Hudson had finally found her. His fated mate was here."
The plot begins with a group of Alphas coming together at Sonoma Pack and having Shasta use their businesses to attempt to make her escape. She may get away on Zeus, Damian's stallion, but once Hudson catches her sent, he is in pursuit, going a different route provided to claim his fated mate. The story has plenty of angst, action, adventure, mystery, suspense, and danger. Before Hudson can claim Shasta, they will come under attack by Hunters, and he is injured helping her escape. Shasta will direct others to his location, and while she might be able to slip away, she doesn't; she waits for Hudson—for the medics—and then must decide her future.
"I'm not afraid of the big bad wolf because I am one."
"I won't be playing. When being punished, your likes are not high on my list of concerns. I'm going to take fiendish delight in the way I deliciously discipline you."
"But who will save you from me? And will I be safe there"
"Always, my fierce, beautiful, courageous fated mate. Always."
The good, the bad, and the ugly play their roles. While Shasta would rather be by herself, a lone she-wolf, especially with the danger of the Hunters, is foolish. There is something about Hudson that calls to her, she watched him risk his life to save hers, and he treats her well. But that isn't enough for her to slip away while he is recovering—or him to come to NOLA and find her. The Hunters are becoming more brazen, and the risk is high—but maybe, just maybe, Shasta will be able to convince one of them that they are being played.
"I once thought I wanted no wolf at all. But a wise friend once told me that when happiness with your fated mate presents itself, you are a fool to turn away." –Darby
"Shasta, I want you to know that not only do I recognize the gift you gave me, but I will cherish it always."
"I'm thankful to have a mate who knows me so well, but still chooses to be with me."
"I have no choice, but even if I did, I would always choose to love you and call you mine."
The story does have power exchange, male dominance, feisty females, who eventually learn submission is powerful. There are explicit scenes and discipline. While this story does not end on a cliffhanger, several people mentioned in it will have their own story next.

Whether you've read each individual book as they were published or you've been waiting on the series to come out in a box set so you didn't have to wait between books, now is your chance to get this captivating series in its entirety. Volume One includes:
Set includes:

Harvest (prequel 1 never previously published)
'Harvest' is the first prequel in Delta James' new series "Tangled Vines" and if the rest of the series is as good as this book, then I just know it's going to be one heck of a ride! We immediately start with a scene where Stephanie and her sister were being chased by so many they finally split up thinking that would help. Stephanie wound up being chased by three men and two wolves into the dead-end of an alley. Just when it came to the climax of the scenario Stephanie wakes up. Was it a dream or her reliving a memory? Remember this is a quick, easy read prequel so I don't want to give away too much. Both women are members of the DeMedici pack in Tuscany and Stephanie has been hired as the assistant vintner for the Luna de Lobo pack in San Francisco which also gave her a new pack of family and alpha. Making the move has given her WAY more than she bargained or anticipated. All she was going to do was go to the local BDSM club for some stress relief before checking in with the new alpha. Instead, to her dismay, she meets her fated mate! I loved the book and can't wait for what promises to be a phenomenal series!

Corked (prequel 2)
Grace had won an international cooking contest last year and after a year of working at Michelin star restaurants for additional experience and reputation, she's been offered the position of head chef at Lobo Bahia hotel and Torch Light, a BDSM club. Both were owned by Damian Steele, Alpha of the Sonoma Pack and head of the Luna de Lobo Vineyard in San Francisco, along with his younger brother Lincoln, aka Linc. Wonderful news, huh? Just two small problems with that statement. First, Grace is human and has no idea what the Steele brothers are. Second, while Damian is the romance between them and has always been looking and waiting for his fated mate, Linc has always believed fated mates were a myth that was used to coerce fractious she-wolves into pairings. Until he met and interviewed Grace. And lo and behold, it turned out it wasn't a myth after all. Grace was his fated mate. It gets a little more complicated when you add the fact that Linc had a tough time reintegrating himself into civilian life after he left Delta Force and encountered Hunters. They're a group of humans who knew of the existence of wolf-shifters and are dedicated to exterminating wolf-shifters. Ever since it has been Linc's mission to turn the tables on the Hunters and make them the hunted. He had already gone rogue at one point but Damian was afraid he'd go completely feral. That's why he introduced Linc to a BDSM club and that's where Linc found peace, pleasure, and the self-control he'd been missing since leaving Delta Force. This short, second prequel in the Tangle Vine series is as captivating as the first one and only makes me want the first book sooner

Uncorked
I, plus I'm sure so many others have been anticipating this book with patience I didn't realize I had and Delta James has delivered in spades! 'Uncorked' is the first book in her "Tangled Vines" series. If you've read the prequels or even just the blurb then you'll know there is an evil entity out there. The Hunters seem to be organizing in their quest to exterminate wolf-shifters. Kinzie, her twin sister Kayla, and Kayla's mate Evan were going to meet and visit the DeMedici Pack. On the way from the airport, a bomb had gone off, blowing up the car and throwing the driver and three passengers, ultimately killing all but Kinzie. There's a great deal of confusion because few know Kayla had a sister and even fewer knew she was an identical twin. So much intensity is displayed, whether it was loyalty, anger, fear, chemistry, or love amongst these characters. Then you have the intrigue and suspense of what's around the corner and what the Hunters are planning. I couldn't be more pleased with the start of this series and am highly anticipating the next book. Now if I can just wait without fidgeting.

Decanted
'Decanted' is Delta James's second book in her "Tangled Vines" series. That being said, if you haven't started it yet you have no idea what you're missing. This storyline starts off running and doesn't stop until the end of the book. Hudson was a Navy SEAL and just took his unit through their last mission before returning home to Colorado where he intends to reclaim his land and pack from his elder brother and his mate. After being used for his own personal gain, Shasta's father has kicked her out of the pack and sent to the Sonoma pack. Shasta has had enough and has decided she is not going to be an Alpha's mate and plaything. She's an Alpha in her own right and intends to keep her freedom at all costs. The rollercoaster of events and emotions as these two come together is riveting. The tension is explosive, both inside and out of the bedroom. Add in the fact that The Hunters have amped up their game and killed several of Hunter's pack alone, not counting the deaths from other packs and I found myself completely engulfed in this book. I can't wait to see what happens in book three, 'Breathe'.
