As an avid fan of Ms. Delta James and her paranormal and shifter series, I was surprised by the uniqueness of this new series. Shifted Existence is a cross between her series that crossed the Void and her shifter series—and it was fascinating. I loved the characters, the unexpected, and the passion within the story. Each book will read as a stand-alone and can be read in any order. Book two, while having the Void and fated mates, it is a new realm and characters.

Earth and its leader’s arrogance cost them a high price when they are invaded and must now capitulate to wolf shifters who hold all the power. Now, it is known as the Conquered Realm. One of the costs, all females of age able to bear children must be available. If a woman refuses to enter their organized training camp, she will be deemed ‘feral’ and placed in an area without any means of food, clothing, shelter, or protection. She will be on her own, and anyone found helping a feral will face punishment. Twice a year, a portal will open where wolf shifters can come hunt and claim a female.

Talon, Alpha of the Storm Rift Pack in the Eclipse Province, has watched many of his warriors use the Void, going to the Conquered Realm and claiming a mate. He has never felt the need to go—but that will change. A voice will call to Talon and show him his fated mate. With the Hunt of the Wolf Moon, which opens tomorrow on the Conquered Realm, this time, Talon will be joining his single warriors.

Voice: She awaits you on the other side. I am no trick, Talon of the Eclipse Province. I have seen her and your fated mate waits for you on the other side of the Void. I do not wish to fight with you, Alpha, merely to help. She is there, and she needs you.

Voice: I thought you might think that. She is called Bailey Pierce and she is located most often in a harsh and heated place known as Pictured Rocks in the northern province by the great lakes known as Michigan.

The story’s plot is unique and a page-turner. I love the characters, the angst, with a touch of mystery and suspense. Read and learn what happened that set this invasion and claiming in motion. The wolves are dominant males disciplining their naughty mates, but they also pleasure them. Talon had decided he would not take a mate, but after the Voice from the Void shows him his mate, his plans change, and he is ready to claim her. Bailey knows the Hunt of the Wolf Moon is ready to happen again, and she does what she can to prepare and stay hidden. The Voice in the Void lets her know her mate is on the way. Let the games begin—of cat and mouse—hunter and hunted. No matter what, in the end, they both win.

The story has the good, the bad, and the evil. I love how, while Talon is a dominant and controlling Alpha, he still respects Bailey and her abilities—at least when they are not trying to avoid him and his capture. He trusts her abilities enough when danger is present for her friends and the other ‘ferals’ to allow her some control. In the end, it is a positive for all those in the Eclipse Province. Bailey is well received and an asset to all

For every action, there is a reaction and that reaction brings forth some type of consequences. The mirror is facing him and that's where Talon and Bailey, our Hero and heroine, come in. As alpha of the Storm Rift Pack he is expected to take a make in order to have an heir but Talon has made up his mind to forgo having a mate and name the son of his second in command as his heir. That is until a disembodied face in the river tells him his fated mate is waiting on the other side of the void and she's in danger. The Moon Hunt is coming and there are only two sections for the lottery winners to get a mate on Earth. Either the soft, weak ones being trained on how to submit or the women who have refused to submit and are running wild with no discipline at all. The defiant, wild ones are known as ferals and Talon's fated mate is among that group. Bailey has learned through the last three years not to get attached to any of the other women running for their lives. It's hard to make a friend, get attached, and then watch them be captured and forcibly removed from Earth. When the disembodied face comes to her body of water to let her know her fated mate is coming for her Bailey decides she'd rather die than be captured by a mutant and taken to another world. This is a unique world with a completely new set of circumstances which makes this storyline fascinating. And to have the magic mirror working for good in order to pay penance makes it all the more surreal. A great read to say the least.

This was pretty good. I am not going to lie this wasn’t as good as the first one but still enjoyable. Bailey was told that wolf-shifters abused their women and use them as breeders and throw them away when they have no use for them. Talon didn’t want to take a puny human for a mate, until the mirror showed him his fated mate. I love the ending when they kicked that evils wolf butt. Good read

Rogan had been looking for his Fated Mate and he had continued to search for her and was surprised when his mother Lily had told him that she knew where his Fated Mate was and that once found would never be separated from in life, in death they believed they pass into the ever-after together. Lily had also been mated for the second time to her second fated mate and the fact that Bryson who was also his Beta and had known for many years that Rogan’s mother was his fated mate but had been prepared to wait until his Alpha was in agreement for them to be mated. The fact that Angelique had been living her life through the void where she spent her days as an author that wrote romance books, at present she had been writing a small series of books that had been based on wolf shifters, they resided in Summer Port and the Alpha that had taken over after the death of his father was Rogan. When Lily finally negotiates with her son that she had found his mate and if he would simply view her via the mirror if she was correct, he would have found his mate, if not the mirror would be lost forever and the void would close, no one but Bryson, Rogan and Lily would know about the magic mirror, it would no longer exist and his mother could then become Bryson’s fated mate, the mating agreement carried out before her son and omega with them instantly going into seclusion. This is a wonderful start to this amazingly different series that already suggests a wealth of different characters and stories for us lucky readers to enjoy. I assure you that you will love every moment of this book it is simply a fantastic read. I voluntarily received and review an Advanced Reader Copy I thoroughly enjoyed the book and look forward to reading any future publications; keep up all the great writing.

Delta James has hit it out of the park with her new series, "Looking Glass Multiverse" and the first book, 'Shifted Reality' is beyond anything I expected. I've provided a small teaser from the Prologue of the book and it just gets better from there. I've sat here and typed, then erased several times trying to write this review but I find myself wanting to share so much of this story that I finally came to the conclusion I couldn't do it … not to another reader or to Ms. James, so this is what I'll tell you. As I was reading this story, I could literally picture Ms. James as the main character for a bit. I giggled at her attitude and could see her typing at the laptop and having those silent conversations with herself and it was like I was immediately a part of her life. Now, for the rest of the story. The Hero and heroine are absolutely the perfect foil for each other. Both with strong personalities. Rogen's mother Iris is a force to be reckoned with, for sure. As a matter of fact, she becomes a heroine in her own right. There are multiple fated mates at play here and a magical mirror who is trying to atone for misdeeds. If this is what is representing the remainder of the series I can barely contain my excitement because this book was wonderful

Iris, who dabbles in magick, has located her son's fated mate. She whispers to Angelique, giving her the wolf-shifters' stories. Angelique has no idea, until Rogan picks her up and takes her to his own reality. From there, the steam rises and threatens to melt your kindle.
Multiverses? Wolf shifters as the apex species in the world? Yes please! I've read most of Delta James' books, and each one outdoes the previous ones. Advance was my favorite book, but this one? Wowza. Plenty of spankings and alpha and beta wolf vibes abound here. When two couples find their HEA's in one book, you know the author is doing something right. The next book in the series is set up in the epilogue, and I'm waiting with bated breath for it. Seriously, one click this one right now and get lost in an amazing world.
