I almost didn’t read this duo. But then I noticed the fact that Delta James mentioned that she used the same world as these are set in for her Wayward Mates series. The rest, as they say, is history.

I loved the tension between Phil and Alisha. They both clearly liked each other, but due to their pasts they both tried to fight their attraction for one another. Phil wanted to keep Alisha safe and Alisha also knew that being a human in a werewolf pack maybe wasn't the smartest idea. As the old saying going, 'the heart wants what it wants'. These two hearts wanted each other and when they finally got together, it was explosive.
Very well done Ms. Raine. I can't see what couple you write next for this series...maybe Cal and Portia...please. 🙂

I really liked all of the characters. They all seemed cool. I wish that we could have gotten to known Portia better. She seems like she’s hiding something. Maybe that was something in the first book I missed. If not, then I hope that there is a third book to explain what Miss. Portia is hiding.
Overall, this was a great story and I look forward to going back and reading the first in the series.

This is a fun were-spanking read! Dani, an alpha female who has grown up without a pack, finds herself attracted to the alpha male of a large pack but is unwilling to commit herself to pack life, especially trusting and leaning on others. Mason gives her a few over the knee lessons in respect and obedience, but resists claiming her until she's on board with it.
I enjoyed this first book from Adaline Raine and look forward to reading future books by her.

Mason and Dani spar from the very beginning. They are both alpha wolves, but he will be respected, or her butt will pay. Dani is slow to trust anyone except her bestie, so she won't be sitting pretty. This is the first book I've read by this author. Looking forward to more, especially since this tale is set in the same world as one of Delta James' Wayward Mates series books. Mason is much more likeable though.
