The long awaited return to the world of Dragonfury is here! For those of us who have been eagerly waiting for this book, the author doesn’t disappoint. The story picks up almost seamlessly from the previous book and gives us the story of the next Nightfury to find his mate. Along the way, we see couples from the previously books and get what I consider to be hints of action to come!
A man on the warpath…
Dragon warrior Gage has earned his brutal reputation. He strikes hard and fast, killing without mercy or remorse. But with the Nightfury lair full of females and a newly adopted son to protect, his ability to focus takes a hit. When one mistake leads to another, putting an innocent woman on enemy radar, he’s forced to decide—keep her safe by taking her with him or roll the dice and hope she goes unnoticed by the Razorback pack.
The woman in his way…
Samantha Redhook isn’t a pushover. She floats like a butterfly and stings like a bee. But with her business failing, desperation pushes her to take a contract she normally wouldn’t have, landing her in a world of trouble. Can she save the situation before things get worse or will an error judgment put an end to her dreams, and then her life?

This book was a long-awaited continuation in the Nightfury saga. While the book was mostly about Gage returning home and adjusting to life away from his time in captivity, it was also moving everyone else's story right along with him! A lot happens here, and I do mean a LOT! Gage finds his prickly mate while laying a trap for the Razorbacks. Once he realizes he is in the presence of his mate and muscles his feisty Samantha away to safety, the multi-story arcs kick into high gear!! We get a much closer look at Azrad (his talents and intellect are eye-opening) and his pack to see how events are coming together with Ivar's plan for the HE female breeding program. Angela and Rikar are soon front and center for a surprising revelation after her brief exposure to Ivar's lab. Bastien and Myst are worriedly preparing for the arrival of their son. Sloan is finally in the spotlight and steps up in huge ways to help out his pack and to rejoin the land of the living. We get to know all of the metallics (Haider & Nian along with Gage) and Osgard more clearly. We see how they are working through their shared trauma together and coming along as a family. We also start to see outside alliances forming to aid in the war against Rodin. Zidane and his death squad and mercenaries are officially in the Seattle area and gunning for the Nightfury pack. That may not be his only agenda however... Lots of action sequences, surprising abilities being revealed, as well as steamy bonding time between Gage and Samantha as she finds her way in her sudden new reality.
Cassandra Grimaldi’s boss has lost her mind. Too bad. She really liked the fiery matchmaker. But when Gerri offers to prove aliens are real and multiple orgasms exist, Cassie can’t help but be curious. Who would say no to orgasms and aliens? Not this curvy girl!
What’s a bear to do when his mate leaves him after he’s mated her? Talen Arctos goes to earth to claim sassy and curvy Cassie. Now if only he could figure out how to convince her to return to his planet with him without offending her…again.
With a brother wreaking havoc in his clan and his pregnant mate thinking she’s a one-night stand, Talen has his work cut out for him. Good thing this bear isn’t letting his woman go. Even if he has to learn what groveling means.
Reader Note: I hear you enjoy too-hot to handle, off the charts hot sex, dirty talking, humor, violence and lots of roaring fights, you say? Then you’ve come to the right place. This book is all about a sassy plus-sized gal and a bear-shifter alien who rocks her world. There’s crazy people, ass kicking and sex so hot you’re going to need batteries. Yeah, you know what I mean. If this is not the kind of stuff you like to read, skip this book. However, if you like sarcasm and hot sex with no filter, this is just your thing. Enjoy!

This series just seriously keeps getting better and better. With every new book Milly just ups the ante!
I really adored this one. I fell for Talen instantly. He's so sweet and caring but can come off as over-protective and growly. I love that he was willing to make Cassie fall for him even though he knows she's his . Cassie is sassy, smart, and willing to stand up for herself. They made a great couple, even if they both were a bit frustrating and could have solved a lot of problems by communicating.
Another favorite in the series for me and I am super excited to see if this series gets a spin off with another out of this world character.

Cassie is Gerri's new assistant and while she thinks the world of the lady, she is off her rocker. Another planet? Yeah right! After a bad weekend with her family she decides she will go with Gerri to this shifter planet, because heck she would love to have sex with a hot shifter. Talen is having issues with his brother, his clan, and his bear wants a mate. Once he meets Cassie he knows she is his. Cassie thinks this is just a booty call, a one night fling, and goes back to Earth. Cassie quickly discovers she is pregnate. Holy crap! Talen goes all caveman and does not understand human women at all. This make for some comical situations as he attempts to take his mate home.
Smoking hot, steam, comical, and caveman attitude make for an interesting read that I could not put down.

5.0 out of 5 stars She's juuust right for this bear.
Reviewed in the United States on February 4, 2016
Cassie is juuust right for this bear shifter. (LOL Come on, you know you said that word all singsongy, just as I did when I typed it.)
Cassie, Geri's new assistant, is leaning towards thinking Geri, while wonderful, isn't quite all there. In her defense, Geri is talking about taking a trip to another planet. LOL But Cassie decides to agree to the trip, just to verify whether or not she's telling the truth. In all honesty, Cassie isn't really leaving a great life behind so a mini-vacation could be just what she needs. See Cassie has struggled her whole life with her weight and the criticism that she receives because of it. Plus, her Dad, Ricardo, has remarried, her Mom passed away years ago, and her new Stepmom, Victoria, is actually almost a decade younger than her and now they've announced Victoria's pregnant. Oh boy...awkward. Not to mention, Cassie is confused by some things pertaining to her Dad's treatment of her. (She doesn't know it, but he has reasons.)
Thankfully, Cassie is very close to her cousins, Ivan and Ivy, and while she loves them unconditionally, she also knows something is missing from her life.
Talen, the bear clan leader, is struggling with keeping his clan together and happy, while dealing with his brother, Paxten, literally a PITA. (You guys know that acronym, right? Pain In the A$$. *smirk*) Paxten feels he can do whatever he wants, even when that means "seeing" more than one clan female at a time. Thank goodness Talen's best friend and head of security, Dylan, has his back.
Talen, albeit reluctantly due to all he has going on, attends the party introducing Alyx and Bella's twins, Avery and Aahron. There he meets Cassie, as she's attending with Geri. Geri, in a previous book, The Alion King, worked her matchmaking mojo and helped Alyx and Bella find each other.
Talen knows instantly Cassie his mate and he's ready to claim her now. Cassie, on the otherhand, thinks she's about to have the best night of her life, not expecting it to go anywhere, yet come morning she realizes she hopes it does. However, Talen is called away as his brother has escaped custody, as he was being held at the castle due to how he blatantly disrespected the King, Alyx. Talen hurries away to deal with Paxten so he can rush back to Cassie and explain what she is to him. Alas, things never go as we hope.
Oh the best laid plans...they're stomped on by Paxten with relish. He bumps into Cassie and upon smelling Talen on her, decides to verbally devastate her and tells her she was just a fling and he's already mated, etc. Cassie and Geri quickly leave the planet and she believes that's the end of that, except for the fact she misses the jerk. Poor Talen, he's branded with the jerk stamp and he's actually a good guy.
Now if only Cassie could figure out why she's not feeling good and forget Talen. One of these situations is easier to resolve than the other. Yeah, Talen left a little something with her. (I'm not giving anything away by sharing that...it's in the title. LOL)
Now Talen is determined to get his mate back and find out why she left. Thankfully, Bella and Geri are both able to talk a little sense into him about how different human women are. They don't instantly feel the mating link click into place like shifters do, so the usual "Hey, I just met you and this is crazy. But you're my mate, let's do it, baby." isn't going to work as easily. Wait, what? That's not how the song goes? Haha.
Will Talen get Cassie to talk to him? Will Cassie believe him when he refutes everything Paxten told her? Will Cassie give him a chance? Will she accept that he wants her and the baby, not just the baby? Will Talen find out who is behind all the rumors surfacing about his leadership? Will Paxten finally be put in his place, or will he go too far before that happens? Will Talen and Cassie get their HEA?
I highly suggest you one-click this story now. As this series is fantastic, I do recommend reading it in order, but also for the sake of continuity, as previous characters are mentioned. I can't wait to see who finds love next.

Whitney Morrison is a full-bodied, successful event planner, a human, and my fated mate. I’m the Alpha of Monterey and I always get what I want.
I catch her scent at a wine festival and invite her to dinner. A dinner invitation that leads to the most memorable night of my life. The next morning I return to our room to find Whitney has run away.
My wolf is devastated. She will learn there is no running from your fated mate.
Three months of searching and preparing has finally brought her back to me. She is on my land and in my home having accepted a job in the area. My wolf is pushing me to make her mine. Before I can mark and claim her, Hunters attack the pack, stealing her from me.
The hunt is on.
Donna L 4.0 out of 5 stars Jameson and Whitney Reviewed in the United States on July 29, 2021 It would not be a shifter story by Delta James without a sexy alpha intent on marking and knotting his fated mate. A mate who was so overwhelmed that she ran away and hunters out to eliminate the entire shifter population.
From their first meeting, Jameson Sinclair affected Whitney Morrison’s equilibrium making her melt into a puddle of submission. His rumble soothed her soul. Whitney may have run from Jameson, but he had eyes protecting her until she was back in his arms. His dominance stole her breath. How could she feel so out of control yet so safe. Jameson was out for revenge when the hunters kidnapped Whitney. Her strength and resilience shone through in the face of danger.
The sexual chemistry between Jameson and Whitney burned up the sheets. I was surprised at how quickly Whitney accepted that Jameson was indeed a shifter. She was not scared by the prospect of being marked. In fact, she was excited. Whitney was lush and full-bodied like a fine wine. Jameson was dominant, protective, and expected to be obeyed. Whitney soon learned over Jameson’s knees that he would not allow her to make derogatory comments about herself. She was perfect as she was. I received a free copy of this book for an honest review
Redrabbitt TOP 1000 REVIEWER 5.0 out of 5 stars HE WOULD MAKE HER BELIEVE Reviewed in the United States on July 29, 2021 As a fan of Ms. Delta James' Wayward Mates series, there are many similarities in the storyline, two wolf shifters meeting, realizing they are fated mates, which she will fight, but never wins. But then, beyond how they come together, accept fate, and the relationship, the story is new. This new series, Tangled Vines, will also revolve around vineyards. With Jameson Sinclair and Whitney Morrison, he is the Alpha of Earthly Spirits Vineyard in Monterey, California, and she is human and an event planner in Chicago, Illinois.
I especially liked this one because I felt that Jameson paves the way for Whitney to come to California. He doesn't cause issues with her fiancé; he doesn't take away a job from someone else to offer her a position. Instead, he arranges solutions that work the best. The chemistry between Jameson and Whitney is undeniable, and for him, he knows immediately that she is his fated mate. I loved that, unlike many Alphas, he does not force her, he allows her to accept him, his dominance, giving him her surrender, and she wants to become his.
The story's plot will first have Whitney and Jameson meeting at the wine convention in Chicago. Whitney does a fantastic job with the conventions, and Jameson knows she will be a plus to the coastal wineries when he finally can lure her there. When she arrives at Earthly Spirits and twists her ankle and that is the start of him carrying her wherever she needs to go. While she doesn't understand the dizziness she feels, he knows immediately he has finally found her, his true-fated-mate, and he couldn't be happier.
Whitney: "You don't need to carry me, Mr. Sinclair. I'm too heavy." Jameson: "Nonesense. And we've talked about how I feel about you putting yourself down. When did I become Mr. Sinclar? As I recall in Chicago, I was Jameson." Whitney: "That should never have happened. It was completely unprofessional. Besides, I thought I'd be working with Leo." Jameson: "It most definitely should have happened. And why on earth would I let Leo gobble you up when my appetite is so much more ravenous?"
"There was something odd about the way she could be furious and slightly afraid of him one moment, and in the next, she felt as though sitting in his lap with his arms wrapped around her was the safest, and only, place in the world she wanted to be."
Whitney: "What do you want from me?" Jameson: "I don't want anything from you I want you—all of you." Whitney: "I keep thinking I must be dreaming. That at any moment I'm going to wake up and be in my hotel room." Jameson: "Why does it seem so difficult for you to believe me?" Whitney: "Because men like you don't fall for women like me." Jameson: "Intelligent, passionate men like me don't fall for beautiful, intelligent, wildly responsive, and spirited women like you? Since when?"
From a night in Chicago, where these two become lovers for a night—to misunderstandings the following day, it sets this tale into motion with Jameson paving the way to bring his mate to California and him. He doesn't force the vows; he actually lets her fall in love with him and then learns the truth about being a wolf shifter. He proves that he and his people are all dedicated to working together for the good of the pack—and that means seeing Jameson and Whitney together as fated-mates. Yes, she is disciplined, but she is loved even harder by him.
"Just relax and let me hold you. I'll take care of you, Whitney. You don't need to worry about anything. Everyone here is glad you've finally come home."
The story has the good, the bad, and the ugly. A cheater works perfect for Jameson to free Whitney—and a new beginning with a job location brings her to the coast of California. I liked how the relationship between Jameson and Whitney progresses. The story also has problems with the Hunters—which leads to kidnapping and danger.
Jameson: "I love you, Whitney. Why won't you believe?" Whitney: "I do, Jameson. I love you too. I believe."
"My mate is a woman of rare courage and a ferocious spirit. I would expect nothing less."
Whitney: "Why is it you say the dirtiest things to me and make them sound so sensual and loving?" Jameson: "Because they are. I want you geared to my voice, my touch. I love it when you tremble with desire, and I haven't even touched you yet." Whitney: "I don't know why I believe you, but I do. I don't know why I don't care that there are things about you that should probably scare me to death, but they don't. It doesn't matter to me." Jameson: "Will you agree to take your vows and become one with me?" Whitney: "I’m not sure I ever had a real choice in the matter. Jameson?” Jameson: “Yes, sweetheart?” Whitney: “Again, something I never thought I’d hear myself say, but I want to be the one with you in all ways. I want to give myself to your completely.”
“He was so strong, so loving, so everything she’d ever needed.”
Whitney: “I want to be one with you.” Jameson: “You already are. From the moment you were born, you’ve been one with me. We will be one in this lifetime and all those that follow.”
The story does have power exchange, male dominance, feisty females, who eventually learn submission is powerful. Again, there are explicit scenes and discipline.
“He wondered how he’d lived without her until now. It was as if all that had come before had been a pale imitation of the life that now lay before them.”
I’ve been a part of the bookish blogosphere for over five years and, for the most part, I love it. I’ve found it to be a positive community, one in which people from all walks of life are connected through their shared passion for books. Regardless of how much I’ve interacted with a blogger, if I comment on one of their posts, I’m almost always guaranteed to get a friendly response. Additionally, being a part of this community has seen me broaden my readerly horizons; I’ve gone from reading literally nothing but romance to reading a multitude of different genres, from fantasy to sci-fi, from historical non-fiction to true crime.
However, no community is perfect and a comment on another blogger’s post reminded me of this a few days ago. To be blunt, no matter how great a community is, it’s always going to play host to a few assholes…

I love how this Fire Maiden was an enchantress. I think this was by far my favorite. I love Greek mythology and for this book to incorporate it into this story was epic. Theo ready showed his maturity level not only to his father but the people of the small island of Anenomodolos. The east side of the island was protected by the enchantress and the west by dragons. Zoe was an archeologist who came to do a survey and once their she realizes always how much she loved Greece although this was her first time on this particular island, it was not her first time in Greece. Her adopted parents brought her family here to do participate in the reenactment Spartans wars of the old days. As it turns out she was born here and given to an owl shifter family... This is where things take a turn of a twist..they need a fire maiden and Theo needs to prove himself to his father. He doesn't want to marry or get with just anyone for his inheritance. But these two team up and anything can and will happen. You see centaurs, minotaur, satyrs coming to the rescue. Oh and lets not forget the Pegasus and Spartans themselves. I do not like to give away the stories Anna writes. Just know she's an amazing author and will never leaving you hanging unless its attentional. You will not be disappointed. GET THE BOOK!

I just loved Theo and Zoe's story. We get not only a love story but we get to meet a bunch of new kinds of shifters. I won't spoil it by telling you what they are but you might have some guesses since it is Greece after all.
Theo has come back to the island of Anemodous after ten years served in the French Foreign Legion. He left the island as a spoiled, reckless dragon youth and returned as a seasoned warrior. Unfortunately, the memories of the older shifters on the island are long and he will have to prove he has changed if he wants to win them over. His feelings on his return home are mixed. On the one hand, he is glad to be back in Greece and loves his island home, on the other hand, he has to face his father and the man's insistence that he marry if he wants to get his inheritance. He has watched many of his fellow legionnaires find their destined mates and fall in love and that what he wants for himself but he doesn't think his father is going to want to wait for that to happen. He has resigned himself to choosing one of the money-hungry women his father has lined up for him - until he sees a woman stand up to his father's posturing and then walk out on him. Wow, now that's his kind of woman. If only she wasn't a human...
Zoe has fallen in love with the island of Anemodous and wishes she could remain there forever but her job at an archaeological site is most likely a very short one. She is at the site on the empty east side of the island with only her donkey and a cat for company. She comes into the small village in the west side of the island once a week to send off a report about her findings and to check her personal email. The only thing she has really discovered is that the site and surrounding area has some kind of magic - not exactly something she can put into a report. Then she meets Theo and everything changes...

I have always enjoyed Anna Lowe's books. When she writes in a location like this, it makes me feel like I have discovered a private gem. Her stories have always stood out for me time and time again and this one is no different.
Zoe is an archeologist on a remote island in Greece. Ever since she had arrived the place seemed to have been calling home to her. Powerful people don't want her to discover anything of interest on the island, yet she feels that there is a story to be told in the ruins she is surveying.
Theo is a dragon shifter with a past. Even though the years of military service have caused him to grow up, he still needs to prove himself to the locals who only saw him as a spoiled rich brat. To earn the respect he has started to make amends, then he stumbles across Zoe who his dragon is insisting is his mate. However her bloodlines won't satisfy his father's conditions to earn his inheritance. So he must make a decision that is a hard call for any dragon shifter : Love or treasure?

This review is written voluntarily after both reading and listening to this wonderful book
This time it's the turn of the Lions to be the centre of attention. Cara and Tony's story is one I really enjoyed, not that I don't always enjoy Anna Lowe's work but this one was different - why you might ask? Well, it's different because Tony was forced to flee his home in Venice when he was accused and found guilty, without a trial I might add, of murder. But after ten years away his instincts have compelled him to return to Venice despite knowing that if he is recognised it could mean his death.
Whilst attending a masked event he meets Cara Alari, a beautiful ecologist who is passionate about saving Venice from further decay and destruction. But before they can act on the attraction they both feel, there's an attempt to kidnap someone close to Cara. Tony knows that he can't stand by and do nothing to stop the kidnapping but if he gets involved his identity is sure to be revealed which could mean he's sentenced to death or worse. But his honour means he must help and so both he and Cara fight together, oh I forgot to mention Cara is no dainty flower, she's tall, well built and strong. She's also good at self-defence, and together they foil the plot but as he knew he would be, Tony's recognised, arrested and taken before the Guardians.
Fortunately, Tony is recognised by someone who was there ten years ago, someone who can clear his name and restore his family's honour. After which he and Cara are asked to guard Fiorina the new Fire Maiden of Venice who turns out to be the girl they just saved from being kidnapped, she's also the daughter of the man he was accused of killing ten years ago and the girl he carried to the safety of her mother's waiting arms.
Tony and Cara are appointed as bodyguards to Fiorina but in order to keep her safe they will have to find out who ordered her father's murder and her kidnapping, are they dealing with one person or two? Are those events connected? Why is the new Firemaiden so unlike all the other Fire Maidens?
What follows is an exciting story full of drama, intrigue, chemistry and love, this is a wonderful addition to this series as destiny works it's magic again. But this time there's an even bigger surprise in store for us, but that's enough from me, no more spoilers you will just have to download this wonderful tale and find out the answers first hand.
The book Is wonderfully narrated by the super talented Kelsey Osborne who does an incredible job of bringing all of the characters to life.

Her landlord convinces her to attend a ball during the famous Carnival within the city. When she got home from the wetlands all she wanted to do is just curl up and relax, but she get ready for this ball.

The pair meet at the Carnival Ball, and manage to save someone who is important to the guardians. They get roped into playing bodyguard together, but can they solve the mystery before time is up, while keeping their charge safe?

Anna Lowe did an excellent job in describing the beauty of Scotland during the characters’ journey, and the reader is able to picture every detail and scene. The couple steams up the pages. Holly Jennings wasn’t planning on another trip to Scotland. And she certainly wasn’t planning on a trip down memory lane with the hot Highlander who broke her heart. Before Holly knows it, she’s heading on a mysterious mission to a remote island — and straight into danger.
Dragon shifter Lachlan McKenney likes his life logical and organized — not turned upside down by the lithe, impulsive beauty he’s been trying to forget for years. Especially now that he’s busy guarding a ruthless archenemy who’s plotting to escape an island prison.
But Holly awakens every emotion Lachlan has been trained to resist: passion, hope, and forbidden desire. Apparently, there’s no outrunning fate, just as there’s no shirking duty. Against the odds, Lachlan must keep Holly safe on her mission to carry out a venerable old dragon’s last wishes. At the same time, he must resist temptation, because letting his focus slip could cost Holly her life — and unleash a deadly foe.

I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book. I LOVED Lachlan and Holly! Holly was nothing like what I was expecting her to be. She was refreshing and quite bohemian for a dragon. Lachlan was so uptight that he couldn’t see the forest for the trees! The death of someone near and dear to both of them is just what they needed to get them both on track. I wish that Trevor would have been in more books imparting his wisdom in some of the other Fire Maiden stories. Through his letters and requests, though, you felt as if you knew Trevor also. When I figured out who Trevor was, it made me love him that much more! There’s even a minor secondary character who isn’t as bad or irritating as I expected them to be. The appearance of other comrades of Lachlan and their Fire Maidens to embrace Holly made me very happy! I can’t wait for the next Fire Maiden story!

I love this story. Holly Jenning is the lead female character and lives in the USA when her mentor passes away on one of his visits to her home he leave her with bring his ashes back to Scotland and one last request. What's a girl to do? You can't pull that card and not do it . But she never thought she would have to make this mission with the one man that broke her heart, or that it would lead her to a remote island and danger. Is it to late to change travel plans? Lol Dragon shifter Lachlan McKenney meet his mate many years ago right as he was going into the French foreign legion . He had been raised duty came first. Not to trust in love. Beside she was better off without him. He left. There was no one else for him. At the reading of mentor's will he sees her again. Will duty win out again or Destiny? Lol got to read to find out! I love the woman who reads this, great voice. Pulls you in to the story and really keeps you involved in every page. Got the ebook too.

“Love is life. Love is the most powerful, enduring force. The most beautiful, whether that’s love for your mate, a child, or a comrade...Even in sorrow, love lives on. It supersedes time, borders, and even death. Love is the one thing you can never waste nor regret.”
Holly Jennings wasn’t planning a trip to Scotland. But when your mentor asks for ‘one last request’ in his will you do what is necessary, even if it means dealing with the hot dragon shifter that broke your heart.
This was a very good second chance, fated mates romance. Lachlan left Holly years ago because of his sense of duty to his family. Now he realizes how much he lost when he pushed her away. I really enjoyed watching grumpy and controlling Lachlan learning how to loosen up. Holly teaches him how to enjoy the world around him and that there is more to life than just duty.
Holly was a caring woman who lives her life spontaneously. She helps disabled and high risk children find their way in life. Now she is trying to fulfill the last wishes of her mentor, Trevor, which involve traveling around Scotland and visiting certain landmarks. I really liked Holly. She was just a great character with a pure soul but who could fight if she needed to.
I really enjoyed Holly and Lachlans relationship. They have a second chance and they aren’t wasting it. Overall, this was a great addition to the series and the continuation of the overarching story. I really am enjoying this fantastic world and can’t wait for the next book, which is Tony’s book. I am excited for another lion shifter story!

Another country, another fire maiden and another story filled with shifters, amazing characters and romance. This is Holly Jennings and Lachlan McKenney’s story both dragon shifters and like all the previous ones it is a story I couldn’t wait to read.
Lachlan is attending the reading of one of the Guardians will and awaiting the arrival of his ashes. The long wait for the ashes finally ends with the arrival of Holly Jennings who has brought the ashes back from the United States where he died. Holly and Lachlan have not seen each other for ten years because he left right after they had a night of amazing sex and both knew without a doubt that they were mates.
Lachlan had drummed into him all his life that love was useless and that he had a duty to his country and no place for a mate. As hard as it was to leave Holly he did his duty and joined the French Foreign Legion and when his military career was over he returned home to Scotland to join the Guardians of Scotland. Seeing Holly walk through the door took his breath away and it took all he had to keep from sweeping her off her feet. Holly felt the same but she was there for a reason and that reason was to bring her mentor Trevor’s ashes home.
She would have to go to Gleninnis presently an island forbidden for anyone to go to but she is determined and Lachlan is tasked with her safety. While both of their dragons try to get their human half to wise up and accept their mate the human halves are not quite as smart. Trevor’s instructions for placing his ashes is not simple, in fact it comes with letters to be opened at each designated spot. Holly is unaware of the fact that the island is now the prison of the mastermind of one of the most ruthless dragon clans and a threat to humans and shifters alike.
Along for the ride is Mungo, Trevor’s deerhound and Tony, a lion shifter who Lachlan has asked to help protect Holly. Holly and Lachlan love each other but their stubborness and his determination that love would keep him from his duty just get in the way and not that their other halves are not trying to make them see the light.
The journey to place Trevor’s ashes and his personal letters at each stop to Holly finally makes Lachlan look at his life but is it too little too late. Their last stop is Gleninnis and the last letter changes Holly’s life in so many ways. The prisoner knows immediately what she is when he sees her while everyone else is clueless so this last stop does not go without danger.
A must read series, well as far as I am concerned. Mystery, shifters, romance, sex, betrayal, suspense and everything I could ever want from a paranormal romance. Every book in this series can be read as a standalone but why miss out on amazing stories.
Inheriting a cottage in Ireland seems like a stroke of pure luck to Grace Connolly — as is a chance meeting with her mysterious (and hot) new neighbor. Soon, Boston’s most up-and-coming harpist finds herself mixing business with pleasure and getting to know Finn Hurley — intimately.
But all is not as it seems with the alluring man from next door, nor in the seaside village of Ballyfianna. Magic, shapeshifters, and legendary pots of gold? The surprises don’t end there — not when Grace’s family secrets come to light. Before she knows it, her mini-adventure — and sizzling romance — become a fight between good and evil. Ruthless enemies are muscling in on Finn’s home turf, and Grace will need more than the luck of the Irish to survive. Does she dare unleash the hidden power within her — a force she’s been warned never to use?
After a decade of military service, dragon shifter Finn Hurley is finally free to track down the elusive beauty he’s secretly loved for years. When he discovers her in his hometown, it seems like destiny is smiling on him. He should have known nothing in life comes easy — especially love.
Because Ballyfianna is no longer the peaceful, sleepy place it once was, and Grace has unwittingly become involved in its troubles. Bitter enemies from beyond its borders are plotting to seize power, while traitors are conspiring within. But they are all mere puppets to an even more treacherous enemy lurking in the background. Can this battle-weary warrior defeat evil and finally find his happy ending?

There's just something about an Anna Lowe book - I know I'm going to love it before I even crack open the virtual cover. Her characters live and breathe on the page. They're multifaceted, they're flawed... they're human (inner "animal" notwithstanding). Her stories may be Paranormal Romance, but I defy you to pigeonhole her! There's always something unique in her stories. Beloved tropes and themes are used - good vs. evil; long lost love; Fated Mates - but never quite in the way one would expect.
In "Fire Maidens: Ireland" we have a charming mix of Romance tropes here: Friends-to-Lovers, Childhood Sweethearts, Good vs. Evil, Mixed-race Romance, and Fated Mates. I would contend, however, that we also have a lesson in choosing how we use our power.
Grace could have grown up using her familial gift for her own gain - she could have looked at it as "witchcraft," and decided that it (and she) were evil - but Grace chose to use that gift in a positive way, which ultimately resulted in even more good being done. She also uses her more "mundane" gifts and talents to give back to her community, helping her neighbors.
In our daily lives, each time we choose to be kind, instead of turning a blind eye, we don't always realize the impact we have on the lives of others. One act of kindness can truly turn a person's life around. For Grace, she can see the changes in the lives of people she teaches about savings and money. That's a truly important and generous gift.
As for Finn, while he may seem more laidback, less intense than some of the other Heroes in this series, he's exactly right for Grace. He's known he's been in love with someone he may never see again for most of his life, and when he finds her, rather than demand she stay with him in Ireland, he's willing to let her go. Finn is willing to make his home wherever Grace is. His willingness and ability to acknowledge her strength, to support her in anything she decides to do, makes him one of my favorite or all Anna Lowe Heroes.
Of course, I would be remiss if I didn't mention the locale of "Fire Maidens: Ireland." The little village of Ballyfianna, Northern Ireland brought back lots of hazy memories for me. The Giant's Causeway, the castle ruins... throw in the addition of giant Elk shifters, and Irish folklore, and small-town characters, and I was in heaven.
It's always a complete pleasure to review an ARC for Ms. Lowe, and I barely wait until the next book is released!

This Fire Maidens story is a little different. For one thing, it takes place in a small Irish village and not a big city. For another, Grace and Finn met each other many years attack when they were children and Grace's family came to visit a great uncle who lived in the area. The two children bonded over an "almost" accident that they knew had to be a secret to keep parents from freaking out. Most importantly, the Guardians of Ireland are not snotty or overbearing. There is plenty of magic, but not the heart pounding feelings of doom that some of the other Fire Maidens have suffered before and after reaching their European destination.
Grace has come to the small village of Ballyfianna, Ireland because she has inherited a small cottage near the ruins of an old castle. She takes a walk around the castle grounds, remembering a day she spent there with a boy her age playing and climbing around the old ruins. When she almost took a header over a cliff, Finn saved her from falling and the two bonded over their shared relief at thwarting disaster. Grace has thought about Finn ever since that day, wondering about his life and fantasizing about the two of them together.
Finn is a dragon shifter who is the fourth of seven children. His life has led him all over the world and into many a hot zone as a member of the French Foreign Legion. The small village where he grew up and his family lives was too small for him once, but now? He has watched his friends from his Legion days meet their mates and settle down. If only he could go and find Grace, the little girl that he only met once, but has never forgotten. But right now his family needs him.
His brother-in-law is the leader of the local shifters. A giant elk shifter, Eamonn, is the head of the Irish Guardians. An alliance with Finn's dragon shifter family has always been a strong one and several of his relatives are also Guardians. Some troubles with a local wolf pack and the threat of the Lombardis have worried Eamonn enough to have him request that Finn stick around in the area for awhile.
When Finn takes a walk to the old castle ruins and sees a young woman near the edge of the cliff where a little girl once almost fell to her death he shouts to warn the woman away, and almost causes her to fall. When he looks into her angry eyes he sees..Grace.
Find out what happens when the magic of Ireland works to convince a girl from Boston that her heart is in Ireland and destiny shows a boy from Ireland that home really is where the heart is.

Inheriting a cottage in Ireland seems like a stroke of purse luck for Grace Connolly, especially after she is reunited with her childhood friend. When Finn Hurley finds the woman he has been searching for in his hometown he believes destiny is smiling upon him. But the small town of Ballyfianna is not as peaceful as it used to be and Grace unwillingly becomes involved in the problem.
This was a very sweet romance. Both Grace and Finn were amazing characters with steamy chemistry. Grace is a beautiful musician who knows very little about magic and nothing about shifters. Being saved by a dragon, who is Finn, blows her mind and makes her doubt everything she knows. I really loved her unique way of feeling and using magic.Finn is a sweet and kind protective alpha male. He was just perfect and I loved the scenes with his nephews and nieces. Even though Grace is only in Ireland for a week she falls hard and fast for Finn, and he for her.
These two had a fast and sweet romance. They have to deal with annoying and hateful locals, constant interruptions from family, and enemy shifters trying to take power. This book was everything I look for in a paranormal romance.
I cannot wait for the next book to come out because I want to know Lachlan’s story!

Grace Connolly has always felt that Ireland called to her ever since she was eight years old and met Finn Hurley and in a very short time they formed a friendship that both thought about throughout the years. Now Grace has inherited a cottage in the very same little village of Ballyfianna that she met Finn, left to her by her great-great-great uncle. She knew her time at Ballyfianna was going to be short and she would be returning home to Boston, but she couldn’t help thinking of what it would be like if she met Finn again as an adult.
Visiting the castle where she and Finn first met and looking over the very cliff that Finn saved her from so many years ago she is approached by a very angry man claiming she is trespassing which nearly causes her to fall over the same cliff, but once again Finn appears to save her. So many years have gone by and yet Grace and Finn still seem to have the same connection they had as kids only she is about to learn things she could never have imagined, and she is about to find herself in the middle of shifter trouble, something she is about to learn the hard way.
If you are reading this series, then you already know about Finn since he first appeared in book four. He left Portugal determined to return after he visited with his family, but Grace put a new perspective on what he sees for his future, she is his mate and having a future without her in it is inconceivable. The Lombardis are joining forces with a wolf pack and a witch and Finn calls upon one of his brothers from the French Legion, Lachlan for help, because like it or not Grace is going to be right in the middle of the danger.
Grace gets a crash course in shifters, her family and what being with Finn, a dragon shifter could be like. She also has to accept the fact that she may be more than just a known harp player but she also has to decide where her life will be and with whom.
If you haven’t started this series I highly recommend doing so, although the books do not have to be read in order you would be missing out on some wonderful books. Each book gives you a look at who the next story will be about and a little background on them. I can’t wait for book six.
For centuries, the Guardians of Lisbon have kept shifter forces in check — dragons, vampires, and witches. Now, with their powers dwindling, they’re too busy to respond to a lone woman’s cry for help.
Novice dragon, Laura Sampao, always knew her family descended from dragon shifters, but that power — or curse — hadn’t manifested itself in generations. She thought it would never happen to her.
Now, vampires are after her blood, and her last hope is a mysterious, jaded warrior who saves her from a brutal attack. But that’s just the prelude to a far greater danger, giving her no choice but to trust the infuriatingly gruff, handsome stranger who awakens all kinds of hidden desires.
Marco da Silva, heir to an ancient dragon dynasty, has been burned by damsels in distress before, and he’s determined not to get involved. But somehow, he just can’t resist. Before he knows it, he’s spiriting Laura off to his private island hideaway with his inner dragon vowing to keep her safe.
Why? Because his heart isn’t the only reckless force stirring in the shifter world — powerful enemies are on the move too, and they’ll stop at nothing to seize Laura — and take control of an entire continent.

Marco was a little rough from the start and yet managed to be dashing. Laura and Marco kept moving at a good pace through the story and there was plenty of adventure with the Guardians.
