Shifted Existence is a cross between her series that crossed the Void and her shifter seriesāand it was fascinating. I loved the characters, the unexpected, and the passion within the story. Each book will read as a stand-alone and can be read in any order. Book two, while having the Void and fated mates, it is a new realm and characters.
Earth and its leaderās arrogance cost them a high price when they are invaded and must now capitulate to wolf shifters who hold all the power. Now, it is known as the Conquered Realm. One of the costs, all females of age able to bear children must be available. If a woman refuses to enter their organized training camp, she will be deemed āferalā and placed in an area without any means of food, clothing, shelter, or protection. For every action, there is a reaction and that reaction brings forth some type of consequences. The mirror is facing him and that's where Talon and Bailey, our Hero and heroine, come in. As alpha of the Storm Rift Pack he is expected to take a make in order to have an heir but Talon has made up his mind to forgo having a mate and name the son of his second in command as his heir. That is until a disembodied face in the river tells him his fated mate is waiting on the other side of the void and she's in danger. The Moon Hunt is coming and there are only two sections for the lottery winners to get a mate on Earth. Either the soft, weak ones being trained on how to submit or the women who have refused to submit and are running wild with no discipline at all. The defiant, wild ones are known as ferals and Talon's fated mate is among that group. Bailey has learned through the last three years not to get attached to any of the other women running for their lives. It's hard to make a friend, get attached, and then watch them be captured and forcibly removed from Earth. When the disembodied face comes to her body of water to let her know her fated mate is coming for her Bailey decides she'd rather die than be captured by a mutant and taken to another world. This is a unique world with a completely new set of circumstances which makes this storyline fascinating. Harvest (prequel 1 never previously published) 'Harvest' is the first prequel in Delta James' new series "Tangled Vines" and if the rest of the series is as good as this book, then I just know it's going to be one heck of a ride! We immediately start with a scene where Stephanie and her sister were being chased by so many they finally split up thinking that would help. Stephanie wound up being chased by three men and two wolves into the dead-end of an alley. Just when it came to the climax of the scenario Stephanie wakes up. Was it a dream or her reliving a memory? Remember this is a quick, easy read prequel so I don't want to give away too much. Both women are members of the DeMedici pack in Tuscany and Stephanie has been hired as the assistant vintner for the Luna de Lobo pack in San Francisco which also gave her a new pack of family and alpha. Making the move has given her WAY more than she bargained or anticipated. All she was going to do was go to the local BDSM club for some stress relief before checking in with the new alpha. Instead, to her dismay, she meets her fated mate! I loved the book and can't wait for what promises to be a phenomenal series!
Corked (prequel 2) Grace had won an international cooking contest last year and after a year of working at Michelin star restaurants for additional experience and reputation, she's been offered the position of head chef at Lobo Bahia hotel and Torch Light, a BDSM club. Uncorked I, plus I'm sure so many others have been anticipating this book with patience I didn't realize I had and Delta James has delivered in spades! 'Uncorked' is the first book in her "Tangled Vines" series. If you've read the prequels or even just the blurb then you'll know there is an evil entity out there. The Hunters seem to be organizing in their quest to exterminate wolf-shifters. Kinzie, her twin sister Kayla, and Kayla's mate Evan were going to meet and visit the DeMedici Pack. On the way from the airport, a bomb had gone off, blowing up the car and throwing the driver and three passengers, ultimately killing all but Kinzie. There's a great deal of confusion because few know Kayla had a sister and even fewer knew she was an identical twin. So much intensity is displayed, whether it was loyalty, anger, fear, chemistry, or love amongst these characters. Then you have the intrigue and suspense of what's around the corner and what the Hunters are planning. I couldn't be more pleased with the start of this series and am highly anticipating the next book. Now if I can just wait without fidgeting.
Decanted 'Decanted' is Delta James's second book in her "Tangled Vines" series. That being said, if you haven't started it yet you have no idea what you're missing. This storyline starts off running and doesn't stop until the end of the book. Hudson was a Navy SEAL and just took his unit through their last mission before returning home to Colorado where he intends to reclaim his land and pack from his elder brother and his mate. After being used for his own personal gain, Shasta's father has kicked her out of the pack and sent to the Sonoma pack. Shasta has had enough and has decided she is not going to be an Alpha's mate and plaything. She's an Alpha in her own right and intends to keep her freedom at all costs. The rollercoaster of events and emotions as these two come together is riveting. The tension is explosive, both inside and out of the bedroom. Add in the fact that The Hunters have amped up their game and killed several of Hunter's pack alone, not counting the deaths from other packs and I found myself completely engulfed in this book. I can't wait to see what happens in book three, 'Breathe'.

This is a good set of companion stories to the Wayward Mates series. I think these novellas were more enjoyable after having read the series.
These novellas definitely had the same feel of the Wayward Mates series. I appreciated being given more detail about some of the history that was briefly mentioned in the original series.
On another note, I could see a someone new to the series reading this collection to see if they were interested in reading the series.

This is the fourth book in the Masters of the Deep series, and it is just getting better with each book. Delta James and Felicity Brandon together are a thing of beauty, and this series, as campy as it first sounded, is delicious. The five Heroes are loners until they meet their women, who are feisty, independent and self sufficient. Eli Green, the bad guy, is still around, and the overarching story keeps getting deeper. Because of the story line running through the series, the books are best if read in order. So worth the one click, I give this one five stars.

This book , like the others in the series, seemed to be such quick reads to me. I know it was because I got so involved at the very beginning and stayed that way until the end.
Logan and Dallas' romance was intense and steamy from the very beginning. It was absolutely instalove, but didn't feel that way. With so much action, danger, suspense, and Intrigue occurring, it seemed as if they had known each other much longer. Logan was immediately as protective of Dallas as each of the other SEAL'S were of their SO's.
Dallas seamlessly fit in with the rest of the team. I liked that they all accepted her so easily. I also like the way the entire group works together for the same goal, and treat each other as family.
I was holding my breath on and off during this book as I kept waiting for that other shoe to drop. This book, as well as the others, did not end on a cliffhanger. The story is not complete. Eli Green and his minions are evil. The mystery has not been solved. The danger is real and lurking around every corner. No one is safe. The suspense is next level. I am truly looking forward to Nash's book.
I suppose this book could be read as a standalone. I would suggest it be read in order. Each book very briefly mentions something from previous books, but the only way to get a full, complete picture is to read the series in order.

The 4th book in this series is Logan and Dallas's story! As you can probably guess, I loved it! Logan comes upon an oil spill while out swimming in the ocean. Dallas is the chief clean up person for the oil company. When these two meet up, sparks are gonna fly. She's a sub and with him being a Dom, you just know things are gonna get heated! The story flowed so well and while this is a stand alone, I really recommend you start at the beginning because the characters are all in each of the books. These shark shifters have drawn me into their little world and I can't believe how much I really love them. And you know there is going to be danger involved. I really couldn't put the book down. I was traveling when I got this so my husband had to listen to music while I read! LOL! Such a good story and now I need Nash because I'm a little worried about him!!!
The action between this couple are almost too hot to handle. They simply reach out and grab your heart right from the start. Thankfully, the hopping back and forth time wise is kept to a minimum. But Iām still dying to read the next one!

There will be suspense, betrayal, expeditions for lost paintings, secrets reveled, violence, hope, forgiveness, and maybe love.
Once you start this book just like the one before it you wonāt stop even when you have things to do so by the time youāve figured out who is who and what is what, youāre already hooked, and you may as well give up the fight and prepare yourself for an all-nighter!
Canāt say I didnāt warn you. Gabriella smart, strong, self-sufficient, an historian/attorney so she knows the legal way of doing things, they do not submit to anyone other than their mate (sometimes not even then š depending how they are feeling) and she didnāt apologize for her human flaws in fact she demanded that you accept her just as she is flaws and all. I would strongly encourage anyone reading the Masters of Valor series to read the Prophecy prequel, which sets up this series. It will help the reader understand the four main male characters, Gabriel Watson, Tristan Crawford, Bennet Greyson, Ford Montgomery, and the magical swords, Courechouse, Clarent, Arondight, and Caliburn. I would also say that because these books are told in chronological order, you should read them as such.
The third book will focus on two main characters, Ford Montgomery and Gillian Millhouse. She is the owner and operator of the Page and Quill B&B; Ford is a construction contractor. These two have danced all around their feelings for one another. She is sassy, a former Marine, and carrying a deep secret.
The storyās plot will have more about how Ford acquired the fine sword, Caliburn, and include scenes of how he must use it to defeat dragons. It also continues from the previous story, where a fire has damaged Gillianās B&B, and she, along with Ford, are staying at White Falcon Manor, the home of Anne and Gabe. A big part of the story will involve the newfound relationship between Ford and Gilly and throw in a murder, dragons, and secrets.

The story has the good, the bad, and the evil in the world. Eventually, the truth about Gillian being a dragon shifter will be revealed. Will Gillian need to leave and find a new safe location? What will happen when her closest friends, and now a man she has feelings for find out what she is?
I love the fast-paced, action-packed, mystery-suspense supernatural story. With each story, more details come to light. It is far from over, and what will happen when Anne learns about Gillian? Will they all blame her for an invasion of dragons? Or will they be willing to join her in fighting against them? I love the chemistry between Ford and Gillian together when they finally stop fighting their feelings and embrace them instead.

Reviewed in the United States on June 9, 2022 I thought this book would be a good one after how the previous book - Deception - ended. I loved this story so much. Gillian and Ford are meant to be together...even though it takes some time to get there. Unbeknownst to all Gillian's friends, she is a dragon shifter and the experience with dragons has not been good for the 4 warriors and their mates as they settle in their new community. But as most anyone knows, you cannot hide secrets such as this for too long before they are found out. By the time Ford does find out about Gillian it may be too late. This is a a very suspenseful story that began in the very first book and it grew along with the mystery. The connection between Ford and Gillian is quick to grow and a love like theirs is soon at risk. But there was a reason Ford and his friends have their swords. It was meant to be. It was a very good book. I enjoyed it a lot. I hope to here how they are doing in future books of this series (much like the author has done in previous ones) They are the best. So while you are sad to see the story end, you get updates on them in other books. Well worth reading! But I strongly recommend you read the previous books in the series first as each book builds upon the previous one. So good.

'Deception' is the second book in Delta James' "Masters of Valor" series. This storyline is so enthralling it pulled me in immediately and moves so fast that I finished before I was ready. If you've been waiting for the story about Bennet Greyson, aka Ben, and the Arondight Sword, the unfading light of the lake, had once been wielded by Lancelotāyeah, the guy that cheated on his best friend with his best friendās wife, then you're in for a real treat. He's one of the Marine Raiders who would make the pack while in the Middle East. All the swords have been found. Their team has been assembled and they've relocated to Rackhamās Roost, North Carolina to establish their businesses and keep their vow to protect the innocent. We've known that Ben has an inordinate amount of knowledge when it comes to antiques but now we find out he also has a law degree and is licensed to practice all along the Eastern Border. That comes in handy, trust me. Another fair newcomer to the area is Paige Davenport. She's the assistant manager of the local bank. Ben noticed her right off and even though her attire is rather dowdy and plain the fact that she wears open-toed stilettos peaks his imagination! Unfortunately, Paige is keeping secrets of her own from everyone in the town. At least she did until she was arrested for embezzlement of bank funds. The twists and turns in this storyline are amazing! And if you thought we were finished with Wyvern, you'd be wrong. It is fun to watch Anne bonding and forming a strong friendship with Goody, Paige and Gillian. These ladies are happily in love with their men and willing to be a bit naughty together sparking their Domsā to provide some punishment.
This book picked up where the prior book left off and ends with the overall story and mystery left unsolved. The storyline will pick up in the next book focusing on Ford & Gillian.
I definitely recommend this series, but definitely start with the first book - preferably start with Masters of the Savoy. The Savoy series starts with Sage Matthewās relation with Roark and itās her home Anne & Gabe have purchased, and her erotic books are frequently mentioned by characters in this series.
Iām excited for the next book in this series now that weāve had a hint at what Gillian has been keeping secret.

She arrives home early one night and discovers her boyfriend in a situation that explodes everything she thought they had together. There are a lot of characters in the book but it never gets confusing, and as a reader youāre aware that most are characters that will be recurring in the series. As usual with books by this author, Iām very much looking forward to the next story!

It will help the reader understand the four main male characters, Gabriel Watson, Tristan Crawford, Bennet Greyson, Ford Montgomery, and the magical swords, Courechouse, Clarent, Arondight, and Caliburn.
Masters of Valor is a spin-off series from the Masters of the Savoy series where presentāhistoryāand paranormal collide. In that series, Gabriel āGabeā Watson, head of security at the Savoy, will meet Anne Boelyn, who has escaped the veil and her prison between light and dark at the Tower of London. The following stories will share how Tristan, Bennet, and Ford find their swords and how they use them to fight evil.
This story begins in New York, where Cynthia āGoodyā Goodson is a highly sought-after pastry chef known for her baking. She will come home early, catch her live-in boyfriend cheating on her, and learn their years together as a couple was a farce. I love the fast-paced, action-packed, mystery-suspense supernatural story. What isnāt to love, two strangers, one magical night, months later, reconnection, and the erotic chemistry are as strong if not stronger than their one night at Midnight Caller. Tristan and Goody are the yin to the others yang. Throw in several critical people, a few troublemakers, and an evil dragon! You have the good, the bad, and the ugly all collide.

This is such a great story and ending to the series. The couple are ones that you can easily identify with. I could swear I saw hints in the ending of things to come in future series. Again we have a Dominant alpha male and a strong willed, highly intelligent female who is anything but submissive. He's keeping secrets from her for fear of losing her but could lose her for being less than forthcoming. Still when they are united in purpose, they are a force to be reckoned with. While not a cliffhanger, the end introduces the prospect of a continuation of the characters in a new series. Gotta love Delta James for her creativity and imagination

I loved Carys and her fiestiness. I also loved Braden and his over the top Alpha-ness. The story was fantastic and had all the action and heat I've come to love about Ms. James, and the HEA was spot on. I like that the stories in this series can be read as stand alone a, but I always recommend reading them in series order
Sara B. VINE VOICE 3.0 out of 5 stars Good, but just not my favorite Delta James book. Reviewed in the United States on April 7, 2022 The 4th book in the Syndicate Masters has a storyline that grabs you attention and keeps it until they very end of the book.
Both main characters have strong personalities, Braden is a very dominant alpha who when he sees what he wants, he makes sure he claims it.
Braden gradually sweeps Carys off her feet and she is later installed in his castle, and treated as if she is Mistress of his clan. Their passionate relationship blows up when Carys sees something she shouldnāt have seen and that Braden had kept secret. But she doesnāt give him the chance to explain or ask him any questions - she just runs and hides from him for years.
Due to not being open, Braden loses his fated mate for nearly 5 years. They get a second chance when Braden pulls an very alpha move that changes the dynamic of their relationship that may cost him what he really wants. Actions have consequences and Braden doesnāt realize his actions arenāt justified because those actions made him feel better. He seems to have not learned his lesson on keeping secrets from Carys and almost loses her again.
The story is compelling and the characters are engaging on the surface, but I just donāt connect with a book when authors separate a couple over miscommunication or secrets, and especially when the separation extends for several years! Iād rather the characters have a blow up fight, then cool off and discuss whatās going on or what they thought happened vs reality - ya know, actually be adults instead of running away.
My frustration with the extended separation increases when the female is presumed or said not to have any relationships while apart, and then alternatively, the male waits a short time before he just has to give in to his uncontrollable sexual urges and have sex with other women.
In this case, and in my opinion, him thinking about the love of his life while using someone else for a sexual release just boils my blood and makes it even worse. To outright use one woman while claiming another is the love of your life is just BS and demeaning. Just no. This also really does nothing to propel the storyline along, it just detracts from the sexiness of the male character
I found it almost impossible to find Braden to be a romantic or loving male. Yes, Carys ran away from Braden, but his actions and intentionally keeping secrets is what put her in the position to freak out and run. I feel he is doubly wrong and then how he reclaims her just is a step too far. As much as I wanted to like this alpha male, he just pushed too many of my buttons. Carysā actions are also frustrating and hit some of my hit buttons.
The majority of books Iāve read by Delta James are easily solid 5-stars reads. My opinion on this book only being a 3-star is my opinion and Iāve spelled out what upset me, but this is my opinion because you may have an entirely different tolerance for those plot points.

Rhonda Hicks VINE VOICE 5.0 out of 5 stars engaging to say the least Reviewed in the United States on April 9, 2022 'The Understanding' is the fourth book in Delta James' "Syndicate Masters" series. I have to admit this one had a more dramatic, adventurous feel to it. Perhaps a bit more drama. Braden, the Alpha of the Smilodon Sabretooth Clan, often referred to as the Beast of Penarth has known Carys is his fated mate but doesn't actually meet her until the day of her mother's funeral when he attends to pay his respects. For some reason that causes her mother's extended family to become rude and hostile towards the man. But as time progresses Braden maneuvers himself to be at the coffee shop where Carys goes and they wind up seeing each other. There are several miscommunications between these two and because both have such strong personalities it plays havoc on the D/s relationship Branden is trying to cultivate with Carys. Twists and turns in the story, along with a plot for murder, keep it engaging to say the least. Of course, it's a Delta James paranormal fated-mate relationship so you know the chemistry is off the chart. I was thrilled when they finally got their happy ending and then the guests showed up and we have a whole new scenario playing out. I can't wait to see where Ms. James takes us on this one
