Only one thing could have awakened Kellan from long centuries of sleep. The scent of his mate.

Míorúilt has the blood of dragons in her veins and taming her will be no easy task, but Kellan wouldn’t want it to be. While he slumbered he dreamed of how sternly and shamefully he will punish her defiance and how thoroughly he will claim and ravage her beautiful virgin body.

Now it is time.

This was the second book in the series, staring the second Dragon to awaken, Kellan and M (I can't remember how to spell her complicated name). I really liked how the story centered on women pushing back against being forced to marry and do what the men want them to do. Unfortunately, there is genetics and traditions, and Kellan has decided to teach M what it's like to be a female dragon. The other women are super strong and loved their varied ways of dealing with the upheaval of being forced to leave their home. There was an interesting bit revealed that might complicate the relationship between Kellan and M.

I really enjoyed reading this outstanding, dark dragon shifter romance & it can be read as a standalone. It has a well-paced, strong plot filled with some unexpected situations & it certainly grabbed my attention within the first few pages & kept it until the end. The characters are strong-willed individuals with unique personalities that display a determination to succeed although the female character portrays realistic defiance & tries to avoid an inevitable future. There is good support from the secondary characters.
It is about: the second male dragon shifter & Lord of the Sea (Kellan) has finally awaken from his slumber with one thought in his mind & that is to claim his mate (Miorúilt) of whom he has been dreaming about but she is not too keen about this idea.
There is: dragon shifters, friendship, fated mates, action, adventure, twists & turns, intrigue, suspense, drama, tragedy, sanctuary, dreams, determination, confrontations, manipulations, defiance, threats, coercion, some dubious/non-consensual scenes, emotional turmoil, discipline, spankings, steamy scenes, contentment & a very interesting ending that is paving the way for the next book in the series. I enjoyed read this dark dragon shifter romance & would recommend it to people who enjoy reading this genre. I sincerely doubt that you would be disappointed.

Mioruilt is a young woman that has grown up working on the land she is a special sort that is absolutely full of attitude and life and she is not in anyway aware that she is actually the last female dragon until one day she finds herself quite literally in a collision course with a dragon.
Kellan is Lord Of The Seas and he has recently waken from a sleep that had been induced by a wizard, during his time sleeping he recalls that he had dreamed of a female who he had never seen before and yet he knew in his heart she was special to him.
This was a simply splendid read and I know that you will not be disappointed, it is a wonderful addition to the previous story and I am sure like me you will be left waiting for the next book.
You will be totally blown away, something that Delta James has become extremely proficient at…..

Míorúilt. is the farm girl who isn't aware she's the last female dragon until fate takes a hand and puts her on a collision course (in the air) with Kellan, Lord of The Seas - the next of the elemental dragons to wake from the long sleep. Marvelous second story in the series with what we usually expect from Delta - strong hero, kick-ass heroine, great action and steamy in all the right places. Can be read alone but Delta's books are like potato chips - you can't read just one.

There Are No Coincidences….
Given a fairy tale life by the clan of dragon shifters that rescued her as a little girl, Emma Sinclair long ago accepted she might never solve the mystery of her heritage. Of course, that was before she could feel the traitor’s pain, before she knew he was slipping away. And before the unthinkable happened… he called to her in the language of his kin.

The Universe Does Not Make Mistakes…
Captured by his brothers. Imprisoned in a cave. Bound in silver chains. Andrew knew his days were numbered. He accepted his fate. Knew he was getting what he deserved. Hallucinations of his long dead parents were his only solace in the debris of a wasted life. Then the daffodils entered his prison. The fragrance stirred visions of expressive brown eyes, a smile that rivaled the sun and a voice that was a balm to his tattered soul. He clung to the memory of her. She became his lifeline…his only hope of survival…

Fate Will Not Be Denied…
One doomed dragon. One very special woman. One destiny no one could have predicted. Will they save dragon kin or destroy it?

The magic in this story is that instead of pieces clicking in to place for the characters, they click into place for the readers. Threads from the previous 6 books in the serious weave together as a prophecy is finally properly translated and understood, and as readers, we discover if we have correctly been solving mysteries as the series was unfolding... guessing who aligned with what, and if we were following the bread crumbs the author as been placing for us all along.

This is less about a redemption for Andrew or his finding forgiveness (within himself, or from others) than it is about being reminded that a single person can be an amazing influence on us -- can motivate us to be our best selves, to strive towards the light, and turn our back on our worst impulses.

As much as it concludes the overarching arc that has been building up to this point, it does not actually feel like it concludes Andrew's story -- it gets him back to his kin, but he is still traveling a path that could be interesting, and knowing there are more books in the series, I can not help but wonder if his path is touched on in future stories.

I was honored enough to be a Beta for this book and it was AMAZING! yes, it is very different from the last 6, but in a good way in my opinion. It is a more emotional read, but it does also give you a sense of satisfaction and completion at the end of it while still making you excited for what's to come. I really enjoyed seeing someone who's been the villain for soo long be thrown for a loop and being forced to re-evaluate the way we look and feel about Andrew. It was a book that I could NOT put down, it was a relatively quick read, but that's the same with the others in the series, and while they may be a quick read they still give an amazing story, and this one is no different.

Julia Mills' powerful latest novel in the Dragon Guard series provoked laughter and copious tears from me. Part of an ongoing series that stands as a separate story, the book showcases the author's ever increasing talent at word craft. Julia, whose middle initial is "R", is truly a "jeweler". She's taken the gem of an idea and built it into the story of a traitor and the only woman who can redeem him.

Snared by the enemy who cruelly tricked his brother into believing him dead, Andrew was held for years before convincing his captors that he wanted revenge against the Dragon Guard for abandoning him. Andrew became adept at black magic and pushed his dragon deep inside as he strived toward that goal. When his brother dragons catch up to him, he unbelievably senses his mate in distress within the clan. It seems her life is tied to his, and the fate of the clans just might be, too.

Read this book, and you'll race to read them all...

Emma Sinclair currently works as the jeweller at the lair, but her heritage is unknown and she long ago accepted that it would stay that way. Then she realised that she could feel the pain being experienced by "the Traitor" and he was calling to her in the language of his kin. Andrew's brothers have captured him and he is bound in silver in a cave. He knows this is exactly what he deserves after the way he has behaved in the past and only hallucinations of his long-dead parents are able to give him solace. However, he detects the scent of salt, sun and fresh air and all he can see and think of are brown eyes and a smile that acts as a balm to his tattered soul. Only the memory of this woman is both his solace and lifeline. Can they both come out of this situation or are them both lost for all time?

I loved this story which was both dramatic and emotional all at the same time. It was great to watch Andrew care much more for someone else which moved him out of his selfish and feeling sorry for himself mode. I could feel and sense all of the thoughts and emotions of the characters involved and was thrilled with the surprises at the end of this story.

When Bridget set out on her own, she sought freedom from the strict rules of her pack. What she found was a beast more stern and demanding than any alpha wolf, a creature of legend intent on claiming her as his mate and breeding her to bring his kind back into the world. A dragon.

Gideon did not ask the little she-wolf if she wanted to belong to him. It was not up to her. The moment he awoke and smelled the scent of his mate, she became his. He tracked her down, punished her defiance, and then ravaged her until a thousand years of lust was fully slaked.

He did not mark her with his teeth like a wolf. He did not need to. Her body knows its master.

I loved this story. It is set in the world of Warlord, Overlord and Wolflord. In fact, Bridget is the widow of the former alpha of Dundalk. She decides that she wants to be treated as equal to the males of the pack. "...but I think I'm done with having males decide my fate." She leaves and goes to find somewhere for women to live free. A lot of this stems from her belief that her objections to be mated to the alpha were overlooked and she was forced to comply. She loved him, but she wanted to be able to make her own decisions as well. While travelling she meets Gideon who is a dragon. He starts the process for her to transform to a dragon without even telling her and he is not apologetic at all, in fact he is smug. There is conflict, but there is a HEA for our dragons. I will say that Delta loves to write about overbearing males. They have redeeming qualities, but they are definitely a**es. Saying that, I look forward to more stories about the dragons.

This was my first book by this author and it said it was a standalone in the same world as others so I just dove in. I do think I would have benefited reading the others for the beginning, because I was a bit lost and it started in the middle of a battle. However, I really enjoyed the story and the world building. It had some editing issues and some clunky dialogue trying to mimic a sort of Elizabethan form of speaking, but not really committing to it. I still loved the characters of Gideon& Bridget, and enjoyed their origin story. My favorite parts were about the dragons and how they became near extinct. The sex scenes were great and interesting without the same old same old. I look forward to more.

If you're looking for a light and airy paranormal romance, let me just stop you now because you're not going to find it here. Delta James' paranormal romance are on the darker side. Now, if that's what your're looking for, please, carry on. These books are not set in todays time, it is somewhere in the future after a planet changing event. Females in this future setting do not have much say in their lives. They are expected to follow orders and do as they're told and disciplined for disobeying. The discipline consists of being spanked, standing in a corner, etc. The sex scenes are plentiful and quite detailed.

This newest book by Delta James follows along with "Warlord", "Overlord" and "Wolflord". Characters from those books make brief appearances in this book, with the exception of Bridget, from "Wolflord", who is a main character in this book.

Bridget, looking to start a sanctuary for females that don't want to be claimed as mates, sneaks away to look for a lost city. Gideon, one of the last dragon shifters, awakens after a 1000 year sleep. When he catches Bridget's scent, the chase begins. When he finds Bridget, he immediately goes to her and stakes his claim. Bridget, not wanting to be mated again, sneaks out and runs. But Gideon is not going to allow his female to escape, she is his one true heart, something all male dragons yearned for. She was his to love and protect from now on, whether she wanted it or not.

If you are unable to get past my first paragraph of this review I do not recommend this book to you. Don't get this book and then leave a bad review because you didn't like the contents. For those that don't skip a beat with that first paragraph, give Delta James a try if you haven't already

Lure of the Dragon brings Tessa to Kai's doorstep literally. I loved Tessa and her inner strength. As the story progressed you could watch the changes in Tessa as she accepted a legacy that she didn't have the first clue about. And then there's yummy as pie Kai! The man who would beg for her. Kai and his band of brothers know how to deal with the problem that Tessa is having. It felt genuine to have the close knit group accept Tessa easily. Of course, since she's a chef and they say the way to a man's heart is his stomach…

The men are all super heroes getting involved and not letting the danger to close to Tessa. The motley crew is made of different shifters, not just dragons. Yeah! That means as I go through the series I will get all my favorite shifters. The little tidbits of each man, the tiniest inkling of who they are, made them very warm and likeable even Cruz.

I can't wait for Silas' story. There was just enough hinted to intrigue me into wanting more. I know from reading the excerpt that the next book won't be Silas. I'll just have to wait, probably until the last books. This is the first in the Aloha series but is a stand alone book.

Tessa is definitely feisty and a force to be reckoned with; not afraid to stand up to the powerful dragon Kai who slowly bends to accept her independent persona. The romance between Tessa and Kai is certainly convincing and their love for each other shines in this story. Love this new series by Ms. Lowe. It has everything I love such as dragon, bear and wolf shifters. Oh yummy!

I really enjoy the fun pace of Ms. Lowe's books. I loved how the story was modeled after Magnum PI a show I totally loved for its quirks. The description of the island, the homes, and the cars was fantastic.

The narrator Kelly Osbourne has grown on me after hearing her narrate several books now. I'm starting to really enjoy her.

The couple in this story are Tess and Kai. I loved them both instantly. I loved how they interacted and how they seemed to just fit as a couple. Kai was so understanding and Tess was a bit of a surprise especially when she got angry at Kai for telling her what to do. Sparks galore.

The secondary characters were pretty awesome as well. I'm looking forward to learning all about Boone in the next book. It was pretty sweet to have a nod towards the Twin Moon Pack in Arizona.

Aaron knew Charlie was his mate the moment he saw her in the hospital. He had to have patience for her to reconcile this new reality and come to her mate on her terms.

But all is not what it seems with Charlie, a secret that only Aaron can help her with.

There is also information about Kyra's mother and the traitor.

I loved the relationship between Aaron and Charlie, there was action and passion.

Read these books in order, the richness of the story is more complete when you have the background of the other stories.

“Only for Her Dragon” Book #6 (Dragon Guard Series) Julia Mills

I think this may be my favorite book in the series. I know I know I probably have said it about all of them. Julia’s Dragon Guard Series is absolutely fantastic what can I say. I live for her next release.
Only for Her Dragon was a little lighter read. She had the perfect mix of action, humor and romance. Aaron the last bachelor of the guardsmen swore he would never take a mate. His teasing was brutal towards his brethren when they found their mates. Well Karma is a you know what. Aaron fell hard for Dr. Charlene (Charlie) Gallagher, who happened to be Sam’s (Lance’s mate) best friend. The first kiss and he was a goner but then again so was Charlie.
Charlie was with Aaron at Devon’s and Anya’s mating ceremony when a distress call went out by Aaron’s brethren through their mental link he had to leave Charlie to see what happened. Before he left he told her to go back inside. Well Charlie doesn’t take orders from anyone. So she followed Aaron staying far enough behind she thought. What she came upon put her in a state of shock among other things. Anya was going through her first transition from human form to her dragon. The entire group was there and Devon was going crazy. Anya was a miracle. The only female dragon known to still exist.
Charlie turned and started running and didn’t look back. For 15 days she went through a gamut of emotions all circling back to the incident and the most gorgeous guy she’s ever met. She was angry, she was hurt that her best friend never told her, she cried, she was confused, and she thought she was going crazy. Charlie would not take Sam’s calls and she didn’t want to see anyone. Finally she gave in and met with Sam. After lots and lots of questions, which Sam tried the best she could to answer Charlie still couldn’t wrap it all around her head. The hunk of her dreams was a dragon. She just needed time to process this.
After having a heart to heart with Aaron things seemed to be going better, until their first romantic encounter and Aaron noticed the marking on Charlie’s back. While rubbing her back to ease her discomfort he felt something move. After closer examination and entering her mind he discovered his mate had magic within her. Good white magic. He knew he would have to talk to Charlie about this and he wanted her to go with him to see Siobhan the Guardsmen’s healer and mother to all and Kyra. Between the two of them they should be able to figure her magic out and what the markings mean.
Turns out Charlie has a dream after meeting with Kyra and Siobhan and she finds out what the markings are and where her magic comes from. My absolutely favorite line from this read is “Aaron, get your dragon ass in here? I’m a freakin Fairy!” I never laughed so hard in my life. You have to read the story this is just so like Charlie and her mouth.
Even though this read was a little lighter Julia socks it to you in the Epilogue. OMG I totally lost it towards the end. In the beginning they are capturing Andrew (I’ll tell you a little secret, from book #1 or maybe #2 I’ve had a secret desire that Andrew could be reformed. Yes he was a douche but think about it he was captured and around evil for a long time, his revenge and hate I think was just a way of his survival. Okay so I’m delusional). What Julia teases at the end of the epilogue will have you gasping. Who is this mystery woman and what will ultimately happen to Andrew? That’s all I’m saying. I can’t wait for the next release. I’m also curious when we’ll find out more about Sydney’s abilities, Will we see a mate for Max hmmm what other mischief can we get those men into. LOL 5*

Beside, once you start the series, you'll want to continue all the way through. They're just addictive. This book is about Devon and Anya, both powerful and special in their own right. Devon, being the white dragon of the clan, hold the favor of night and day, with loyalty and strength of will being the two biggest assets. Julia Mills has given us we expect from her Dragon Guard and his mate without all the major battles this time. But there's more at play and she's given us the build up. Anya is in a coma in the hospital and no one knows why or how it happened or who she is. Devon knows she is his mate when he finds her but doesn't even know her name. This story has alot of back story to it and does get a little confusing but that would be my only complaint if I were to voice one. Character development for the main characters is amazing and you become totally engulfed in their story. As they work towards their HEA Devon is awed by his luck in who is mate is and how he makes her feel. This story has suspense and intrigue and love to keep you turning pages until the end. This is my favorite Dragon Guard book yet. Julia’s books just keep getting better & better.

Devon is a rare white dragon shifter & part of the Dragon Guard. One day, while visiting the hospital, he feels the pull of The One The Universe Created Just For Him. Unfortunately, she is a patient in the hospital & she is in a coma, but he can hear her calling out. He sits with her every day while she in unconscious, talking to her & taking over more & more of her care, sure in the knowledge that she knows he is there. He doesn’t know her name but he knows she was made for him. He knows she is special because not only is she made for him but they are already able to mind speak, something that is not usually possible until the after the mating ceremony.

“The universe made one astonishing woman for each dragon shifter… and only him. She completed him and the dragon within in every way possible. A dragon’s mate brought light to their soul and love to their life. But she was so much more. It was reflected in every person…dragon, mate, or human…that came into contact with her. They were drawn to her, as she was the light that would fill their darkness.”

Anya Sloane is in a fog. Occasionally that fog lessens and she cries out for help. She hears someone answer her from far away. Eventually it is decided that the best thing for her is to move her to Devon’s mothers’ (Siobhan is the healer for the clan) cottage. Finally she awakens, unsure where she is but knowing she is safe. The harder she tries to remember things the farther away they go

Devon is so compassionate, strong and it is very evident that him and Anya were meant to be.

Another aspect that I loved was learning more about the clan and their history. We always have some kind of a history lesson in each book but I finally see everything coming together...well almost. There are still some things to revealed I am sure, but I feel more and more that we are coming to a point in the series where a bigger picture will be presented.

As much as I loved the pace I kept waiting. Waiting for the "OMG" moment and boy did I get it!! I must have read the last few chapters at record speed because I was on the edge of my seat wondering what the hell was happening and thought my heart was going to stop. Julia certainly tugged on some of my emotions there!

And lets not forget the preview into her next book at the end! This is a preview that tops all of her other previews. Things are about to go crazy!!!

I can’t help but say it…Julia Mills’ latest book is the best yet. “For The Love Of Her Dragon” takes us farther into the Dragon Guard world. Royce O’Reilly retreats to his old home with the Blue Thunder Clan of the Dragon Shifters to try to wrap his head around a precious gift from the Universe – his One.

Why would he need to? Because his Great Love revealed by Fate is Kyra St. Croix, a white witch. When he was young, Royce’s mother and unborn sister were killed by a white witch trusted by the clan. The oldest and largest of the elite fighting force protecting mankind and dragons alike, he trusts NO witch now and can’t understand how this could be happening to him. His brothers, Rian and Rory, nag at him daily for not claiming his mate, but they didn’t witness the murder like Royce and weren’t scarred by the event.

Kyra is in the dark about Royce’s experience and his extreme distrust against all witches. But when a vision shows a vicious and deadly attack against Blue Thunder is imminent, the Dragon Guard need Kyra’s help to battle the dark magic of the familiar foe behind it. Their close proximity doesn’t help matters when the tiny, powerful witch discovers Royce’s attitude, and one or both may die before they have even have a chance at their prophesied destiny.

The first three books were a dragon trifecta, but the fourth is a reader jackpot. We get more conflict and action, more dialogue, more history - more, more, more! We get the biggest and the baddest dragon of the fighting force united with the tiniest tornado of a white witch in a fantastic and phenomenal book. Best of all, we get even more dragons to dream and drool over as we anxiously anticipate a new book in the Dragon Guard Series. Readers may need to engage a bold taskmaster with a whip to prod Julia Mills along with the next one!

Royce was the heart and soul of the Dragon guard. That was until discovering his mate made him bitter and angry and he ran away from his destiny due to a horror in his past.

Kyra was a white witch who had known she would be a mate to a regal dragon shifter for most of her life. She was devastated when Royce ran vowing never to mate with her.

Can love prevail?

I liked that this book was structured different from the last three. The characters were both supernatural and did not get together right away. The love story was heartbreaking but you get your HEA.

Read this series from the beginning, it says you can read them as stand alone but you miss out so much of the backstory that makes these books so rich.

If there is anything or anyone that Royce hates it is witches. Ever since his mother and unborn sister were killed by a power seeking witch when he was young Royce has hated witches. Kyra is a half human white witch and has known for 25 years that her mate is a dragon shifter. She has dreamed of her mate and the unconditional love she will receive from him. Imagine what happens when that mate is Royce a dragon shifter who hates witches. I would thoroughly recommend this book to all who love great romantic shifter tales. Julia has once again taken us on a journey with the handsome dragon shifters and the beautiful courageous women that they will love even through adversity and danger.

No way, no where, no how would he mate with a witch! She thought he was just not ready for a mate until she heard him say those words. I will spend my life alone before I mate the kind of treacherous bitch that killed our mother and unborn baby sister. He shouted those words to his brother before he realized she was standing behind him, listening to every word. She wouldn't mate him even though it meant it would doom her to the same fate he was willing to doom himself to. She'd never had anyone hate her like that before they even knew her. Could this mess get any worse? Yes it could. His best friends and his brothers where on her side! Had they forgotten how his mother died. How will he fight the mating call? Can she ever forgive him? Could he ever forgive himself for the way he had treated her? Will the Goddess or his mate ever accept that he was wrong and truly sorry for what he had done? The answers are in the 4th book of the best selling Dragon Guard series. A angst filled romance story of dragon's and there mates with outstanding writing, characters that will steal your heart and a continuing storyline that will keep you up half the night to finish, this book is a must read. Highly recommended.

Haunted By Her Dragon, the third of the Dragon Guard series, showcases Julia Mills awesome 'wordcrafting'.

This novel features Lance Kavanaugh (golden dragon shifter) and Dr. Samantha Malone (surgical resident). Mills seamlessly builds this story out of "Her Dragon's Fire" which flowed just as brilliantly from "Her Dragon To Slay", but the books also stand alone. Readers won't get lost if they venture into the series out of order as Mills provides a brief recap of the previous action.

When Lance saved Sam from a kidnapper known as 'The Auctioneer' (aka Mr. A) in "Fire", he recognized his mate. Because the Dragon Guard have a traitor to the clan as well as murderous black mages and hunters out to eradicate the dragon clans, Lance decided to wait to approach Sam and to watch his One from a distance. Sam barely met her rescuer, but feels a haunting yet protective presence hovering around her. However, the traitor appears in Sam's life and threatens her safety and that of her favorite surgical patient, six-year-old Sydney, forcing Lance out of the background.

The lovely doctor, the adorable little girl, and a powerful witch are swept into the ongoing battle. The Guard and their were-panther allies step up their game as mysteries begin to surface and special significance of new characters arise while the action explodes.

Mills skillfully weaves the skeins of this dragon tapestry. She spins out a tale that further builds a world with a rich and ancient culture struggling to survive in a modern world. The colorful story reveals more on the dragon community (lair) and its history and customs. Vivid characters, lively interaction, and deft dialogue mesh with carefully crafted descriptions to create a book readers can't put down. Mills also treats fans to an in-depth look in to the hunter/mage Alliance's maniacal plans through Andrew's eyes. These POV pages allow readers an insight into the Dragon Guard enemies making them more than static characters that simply engage in battles. No threads tangle in this total telling.

Best of all while winding this story to its conclusion, readers aren't left unsatisfied with a cliffhanger ending. However, Mills masterfully alludes to future story twists in a clever epilogue that leaves them eagerly and impatiently waiting for Book Four.

Samantha had wound up in the foster care system when her parents died. She was one of the lucky ones, winding up with Momma Maybelle (the best foster mom in the world). Now she's an inspiring surgeon wanting to eventually specialize in children and the elderly. Seven months ago, she had been abducted from the hospital parking lot and carried off to the middle of nowhere. It had been one of the most terrifying experiences in her life. Luckily for her, she had a guardian - not angel - who wound up making sure she was safe. As a matter of fact, she always felt him watching her. Sam never saw him, she could only feel him, but she knew deep inside he would keep her safe and that was comforting.
Lance continued to keep watch over Samantha after she was rescued. They were still searching for the traitor who'd hurt both Kyndel and Grace. Then there was the "Auctioneer" who seemed to be always on the fringes, not to mention the ever-present threat of hunters and wizards to his clan. He knew the Universe didn't make mistakes, but he couldn't justify bringing her into the clan yet. And if Andrew found out she was his mate, Heavens knew he would mess with her like he did with the mates of the other Guards.
Have you been following the Dragon Guard Series? This is the third book and the story between Samantha and Lance. Julia Mills has the underlying plot running through all the books connecting them yet each can be read as a stand alone. Although, if you're like me, you want that back history which makes each story flow together beautifully. Her characters are all flawed in one way or another, but strong in personality and convictions. If you're into dragons, fated mates and HEA, you won't be disappointed. This is another terrific addition.

I love Dragon Shifter books, they are amongst my favourite genres to read and there are never enough great books to read in this genre. This series was definitely a perfect find for me. The writing was very good and the story pulled you in from book one and continued in book two. I am so looking forward to the third book in this series.

The first Book followed the leader of the Dragon Guard Rayne and his Mate Kyndall's story and I thought that was a great book... but book two, "Her Dragon to Slay" was just that much better! "Her Dragon's Fire" was Aiden and Grace's Story and you could sense the Love between them and the connection they had.

Aiden was sexy hot and an oh so romantic alpha male, Grace was a very independent strong woman as well, she had a mind of her own and challenged Aiden every chance she could. There was so much more to these characters and the obstacles they faced and had to overcome made you feel just that much more for them, especially Aiden. There were definitely some very steamy scenes, which I love, very detailed and scorching hot. One can only wish they had a Man so devoted to a Woman"s every need like the men (Dragons) in these books!

The writing was fantastic and brought the characters to life and I had a hard time putting this book down (I got nothing done over the weekend I read both books in 2 days). The book was edited really well and the story flowed from one page to the next effortlessly. I can only hope that the rest books in this series get better. I loved that there is a little about all of the characters in the books and you get a glimpse at previous characters and what they are doing. I can't wait for Lance and Samantha's story, April can't come soon enough.

I would definitely recommend this series to those who like the Paranormal genre. It was an outstanding read and you won't be disappointed.

This book was much better than Book One because the plot was a lot more interesting, and I enjoyed the action. However, the writing is still a bit repetitive, too detailed in parts, and there are too many things that were very similar to the first book.

I love Aiden as much in this book as I did in the story about Rayne and Kyndel. He has strength, passion, and is not afraid to show or feel emotions.

Grace, on the other hand, started out being a heroine I liked, but she soon became demanding, insensible, and even put their lives at risk with her foolishness...all because she had to see everything "with her own eyes!" Really?!

I liked the other characters, the brethren--Lance, Royce, Aaron, and Devon. I definitely want to read their stories. I'm also curious about what eventually happens to Aaron's and Aiden's traitorous brother, Andrew

Remember Grace from book one? You know, Kyndel's best friend who had borrowed her car and left Kyndel to walk home the night she met Rayne? Yep, that's her. Big city girl from affluent parents, dad an ambassador and mom a humanitarian, is now an attorney for the State Prosecutor. Unfortunately, she had her insecurities and one of those had been about the opposite sex and love. Her ex in college had cheated on her and Grace overheard him tell the other girl he was only with Grace to meet her father and advance his political career and then made disparaging remarks about her weight. Grace decided then and there, in her senior year, love was for suckers. She wouldn't go that route again. Aiden was a dragon of the Elite Dragon Guard. His twin brother Aaron was two minutes older than him and their baby brother Andrew was ten years younger. Not only was Andrew the baby of the family, but he had two different colored eyes and was considered to be the mark of a Special One. Aiden was the first person Andrew had opened his eyes to and made a connection with, so there was a special bond between them. Unfortunately that bond had been broken the night Aiden thought Andrew had been killed. Now, six months later, he's still looking for Andrew, who turned out to be alive and using black magic. He had turned traitor and Aiden was hunting him before more people were hurt. Julia Mills has an innate ability to tap into the realm of dragons and bring us a world consisting of an elite group of dragon guards who are duty bound to protect humans and the way fate plays a hand in bring them their mates. This is Aiden and Grace's story and what a story it is. With an underlying plot flowing through the book, strong characters who bring loyalty and chaos to each other's lives and the devotion and love of a dragon, you won't be disappointed

I wish I could give this book a hundred stars but since it's a one to give reading, it's a solid five star read. Julia Mills is an outstanding author and I have loved every single book of hers I've been able to read. I can never wait until I can get the next one on my kindle.....

The night these two meet scorched more than just the pages of this book... Despite her fear of the dark making it difficult, Kyndel finds herself forced to walk home after dark one night. What she doesn't know is how that fateful walk was going to forever change her life because she meets Rayne. A loyal dragon guard duty bound to keep humans safe, he could no longer deny his dragon half what it so desperately desires; the one and only person the Universe had designed for both halves of his soul.

Watching them as they bonded and faced the fight of and for their lives was enthralling and held me glued to my screen from the first chapter to the last words. I needed a fan and a bottle of iced water for some parts of the book.

Julia writes dragons like she personally knows some and is getting their personal insight on these books.Though this book is part of an interlocking series, each book can just as easily be read as a stand alone.

I had read the second in this series in a boxed set and it was good enough that I wanted to go back and read the first. Glad I did. The characters are introduced well. Some things that were alluded to in the second book were clearer after reading this first book and, having read the second book I see that the author set up a few things in this book that were more fully explored in the next book. She gave just the right amount of info here; enough for this story without trying to explain everything in one shot. Well done.

Loved the main characters. She's feisty and sassy without being s shrill. He's strong and fits his title of Commander without being a stick in the mud or overbearing. Well, gotta run.I've already purchased the third in the series and I can't wait to see which of the Dragon Guard is next.
