Take one dragon racing around the North Pole…
Add a reindeer who refuses to be tamed…
Mix in the outrageous antics of an elf who hates the snow …
And you’ve got a holiday tale of thrills, chills and more than a little snow-melting fun.
Put on your feety pajamas, grab a cup of hot cocoa and gather around the fire while our dashing hero and trusty cohorts race to save the holidays and in the process, find the happily ever after they didn’t know they were looking for, all neatly wrapped in shiny paper with a bright red bow.
Delightful short holiday read with the Dragons and the granddaughter of Santa’s reindeer, Vixen. Somehow I didn’t read this before, but it is definitely adorable.
5.0 out of 5 stars Parts are like a comedy of errors leaving me chuckling out loud

Noel had been asked by three of the most renowned Guardsmen in history asked him for a favor. To go on a mission into what was referred to as the Frozen North. At six foot ten inches, he'd never before experienced anything he couldn't walk over .. Until now and he was freezing. But the man he was sent to look for was not only a personal friend of the mad dragon but the son of a god. During his trek he heard voices and came face to face with a sleigh being pulled down hill by what appeared to be a runaway reindeer trading vehement insults with an very grouchy elf knocking into him and leaving him dazed and unconscious.
You can tell by reading this storyline it was filled with the wonder of Christmas. Pure personalities full of a plethora of emotions, both good and bad, take control of these characters making parts of it like a comedy of errors leaving me chuckling out loud. Not to say there wasn't the expected angst and intrigue to keep the plot active, because there was. And don't let me forget to mention the fate of the Guardsman finding his mate, or vice versa as may be in this case. A truly joyful story you'll want for your collection.
5.0 out of 5 stars Cleverly inventive and so much fun - 4.5 Stars

There is constant delight in the latest Dragon Guard book, where scenes are not only fascinating but also highly entertaining. This standalone story takes place near Christmas, yet the premise can definitely be enjoyed any time of the year. I could not keep from laughing loudly at some of the more humorous moments, while the situations filled with emotion or sexy desire were just as captivating. Julia Mills makes DRAGON GOT RUN OVER BY A REINDEER imaginatively enchanting over and over again.
When Nowell was asked by several important Guardsmen to undertake a task, the dragon readily agreed and finds himself trudging through deep snow near the North Pole. Before the person whom he was sent to find can be located, he falls down and is then hit by a fast-moving sleigh pulled by a reindeer which has an elf driver. When Nowell wakes up, what he discovers is truly surprising.
Between the witty banter and unexpected happenings, I found DRAGON GOT RUN OVER BY A REINDEER to be cleverly inventive and so much fun. Julia Mills makes Nowell a very appealing dragon, while Scarlett is a lively reindeer with a sparkling personality. Toss in a cranky elf who never seems to be happy, and the book is certainly interesting. The many creative words spoken by these characters had me repeatedly chuckling, and the visuals also induced some big smiles. An engaging story on every page.

Goddess of Chaos
4.0 out of 5 stars A quick read with more heart than I thought one story could contain.

This quick read was an absolute delight. The two main characters were so much fun, and while one of the side characters kinda grated on my nerves, when the two main characters kept having the SAME reactions to him, it just made me laugh.
For such a short story, I was amazed how much story there was in here. Often short reads like this get distracted from whatever prompted someone to "go out and about" but not so with Nowell. Scarlet found herself in ways she never could have expected, she may have been last in line as a Reindeer for Santa's sleigh, but I felt she discovered that pulling his sleigh had not actually been her calling in the first place, which doubled the charm of the story for me.
