Stone Cold Protector: Dragon Guard Series Book 38

Blowing things up since before he could walk, Oz, Oscar Tomas to his momma and only his momma, could make bombs out of anything and everything ~ lady’s knickers, a torn shoestring, even dried-out, old cow patties. There was nothing he couldn’t make go boom, nothing he couldn’t bend to his will.

Then came London.

Intelligent, quick-witted, and strong-willed with more curves than a country back road, Oz was defenseless in the face of the fiery attraction he felt for this redheaded bombshell. Busting through his iron-clad defenses like a landmine, for the first time, the Guardsman known as ‘Stone Cold’ struggled to find his balance.

So, he opened his mouth and stuck both feet along with half his ass in as far as they would go.

Now, the tables are turned, and her father’s been abducted. The choice is clear. Swallow his pride and help the one woman in all the world created just for him. But will she forgive his arrogance? Can she ever understand his need to protect? Overlook his less than politically correct way of getting his point across? Be his partner when he turned her away without so much as a backward glance?

The Universe doesn’t make mistakes and Fate Will Not Be Denied, but then again, neither has ever dealt with a couple as unpredictable as Oz and his Bobcat.

Take cover! The fuse is lit! Prepare to have everything you ever thought you knew blown to bits!

Stone Cold Protector
By Milly Taiden.

Paranormal is such an amazing genré, it opens the door into so many different opportunities and ways for the characters and the magic surrounding them to be developed into pieces and works of art
Julia Mills is an expert at creating these world’s, and “Stone Cold Protector” is another perfect example of
How superbly she is able to bring together a couple, who have an apocalyptic issue to deal with, together.
Seemingly complete opposites, Oz and London find themselves in perfect balance once they allow their pre conceived ideas to be pushed aside.
Full of fast paced action, never ending twists and turns challenging situations and even stepping into the unknown, will keep you wanting to turn the pages to find out exactly where all this adventure is going to finally end up.
Not even the demonic possession of family members, will stop these two strong willed characters, from completing what they know has to be carried out.
With his shifter brothers and mate, Oz and those who have been prophesied to complete, this magical action taken all the steps necessary, returning to the underworld and it’s prison the demon who has enjoyed wrecking havoc to everything it touched.
Suddenly they find together they have what it takes to achieve rendering this walking evil back to the prison it should never have escaped from.
Leaving us with the continuation of a series a reader would find hard to turn away from.
If paranormal is what you enjoy, then your going to have trouble putting it down.
This is one book that wi hook you in from the first chapter.

Always love it when these big tough dragons lose their head when meeting a beautiful woman. Why do they think that being rude will earn them points?.. I swear that is not the way to hide how you feel, but what do I know..lol

Perfect story addition to this world and Mills world of dragons. Always love when we blend two worlds together and characters seem to mesh. When they are brought together correctly and with great flow and proper character attitudes.

This story was great and you didn't want to put it down, can't wait for more.

Oz should be given the worst 1st impression award! From the first line of the book he has ATTITUDE! Not only NOT wanting to work with another agency but also not wanting to work with a partner. And when that partner sends an “electrical current strong enough to power the entire Vegas strip for a month of Sundays…” and the first thing he says to his mate is “oh, F@!@! no. Not now. Not ever….” Well things can only get better from this point forward. FYI – it does !
London who takes nothing from anyone is about to have her whole world shaken and it will take not only Oz willing to work with London but London willing to work with Oz and others to save not only her family but her the whole O’Connor Pounce.
I love the Dragon guard books and yes this is number 38 but they are standalone books for the most part but where is the fun in that! This was a great story and the friction between mates is always fun to watch because they want to fight it but you know they can’t for long!
Julia has a way with words that make you not want to put the book down and once the last page is read you watch your e-mail for the notice of a new book coming out!

Dragon Her Home: Dragon Guard Series Book 37

Cutoff from his Clan with his Dragon unresponsive, time was up. There was only one choice – go down fighting and take as many of the bastards with him as Dragonly possible.

Waiting for the Executioner to claim his life, he stood at the ready. Refusing to waver under the weight of his chains, time stood still…

A flash of scales, burning emerald in the darkness, a memory of pain and loss…then nothing. Freed from his bonds, the cage door open, Stone found himself completely and totally alone. No captors. No Executioner. No liberator. Absolutely no one.

Who had released him? Could it honestly have been…? No, it just wasn’t possible. The dead don’t come back just to unlock the door…do they?

Then who? And where had he or she gone? As a matter of fact, where were the Overlords? Where was the other Dragon he knew was being tortured? What the hell was going on?

The hunt is on. There’s no time to waste. Stone will move Heaven and Earth and more than a ton of snow to find the answers and save the only person who matters. Draggin’ her home may not be the answer, but standin’ by her side is what he’s meant to do.

I swear I am never going to get caught up on the dragon series as fast as Julia writes them.

Excellent addition to both the dragon series and PDA. Leave it to Gerri to arrange a meeting and not give much details on your mate. Sometimes I think it's like finding a needle in a dragons lair.

The couple in the book are just perfect for each other. Not sure if its because they are so different, or so similar..lol...They bring the perfect mix of love and excitement to the story.

This book held my attention throughout. It took me a bit to figure out what all was happening as it is not one of the more typical Gerri Wilder Paranormal Dating Agency stories started by Milly Taiden. Books also written by other authors with their own spin on Gerri which is the case with this book. Anyhow, it was a slow start for me that picked up speed with lots of action and a bit of a twist in the story. I can't wait to read Sable's story which is one of the Dragon Guard series by Mills. I enjoyed this book so much I'm going to sit and read several of the books in this series

As her previous books and contributions to the PDA Universe I found Julia Mills' latest just as enticing. Adding the Dragon Guardians has been a seamless connection through Gerri Wilder's character as well as the introduction of more paranormal entities for their mates. I loved the Kitsune, Annika. She was a powerhouse to rival any of the dragons and a perfect match for hers. Just as Milly Taiden's female's, Julia Mills writes a strong feminine character that can handle her own and still blend her mate to her.

I LOVED this story! Though I have to admit, I have no idea what an Arctsune is, and google didn’t help, so I was a teensy bit frustrated by that. I like to visualize what the shifter shifts into. But the story described her well, and I was REALLY pleased that the conversations were easy to follow, didn’t have as much inner monologue/talking to the reader as some of her other stories. There was so much action, suspense, unexpected twists, and Sable! I can’t wait to read more about this family!

My husband and I were never into electronics and cellphones. It wasn’t until recent years that we bought cellphones. Only to follow them with tablets. That doesn’t mean we like change though.

After seeing one too many ads for the iPhone 13 Pro, I decided to look into the cost of upgrading our equipment. In the past, I have had laptops die because they couldn’t be upgraded anymore. I didn’t want that to happen again.

I started by calling one provider who had recently been in our area for a quote. They came by the house and talked to us about the costs. To get started would cost us $500 up front. Oh my! Then I stopped by my current provider and posed the same question. Our initial cost would be a little bit less here.

Now mind me, we are still talking about spending about $2500 on phones and tablets. The difference is that my current provider would give me sufficient credit for trading in my current phone to completely cover the cost of the phone we want. We’d still be paying for the tablets but the monthly cost would be considerably less!

Moral of the story is to shop around and don’t be afraid to let your current provider know what you are doing! They might be able to make the deal sweeter.

Always love when lovers reconnect with each other, and it's not one of those insta love stories. You can tell by watching and listening that they truly love each other and after they are done being stubborn they will be together forever.

But I think the stubborn and unseen family drama makes it the best.

Can he make up for his stupidity while still searching for the group that calls themselves "Chimera". The group who has killed many people including her parents?
We meet several witches, dragons, a timberwolf and even a valkyrie. Nice beginning to a new series spinoff.

Final Thoughts

Sometimes it seems like time is just flying by. It’s not. What is flying by is our appreciation of time. The time our friends take to check in on us, or that our family takes to be with us. Here of late I’ve seen so many stories in the news of people dying young, and there are so many regrets.

Stop, take a minute and look around you. Take note of all that is happening around you. All of these things are happening because someone took time to make it happen. So if you have the opportunity to help someone else, do it. You don’t want to leave regrets behind when you go.

MacAllen Clan: She Thinks My Dragon’s Sexy (Dragon Guard #35)

Fate Will Not be Denied, but if you happen to be a Gambler, the safe bets always on a Dragon and his Mate.

Sure, it was hotter than hell and drier than a popcorn fart, but it was home. Not just a place on the map, but in her heart where it really mattered.

Coming back to West Texas for Elle Burntwing was a mixed bag of tricks. Sure, it was where she’d grown up, where she’d had her first beer, her first kiss, ridden her first horse, and raised all kinds of hell…but it was also where her family had tragically and with no explanation been taken from her.

Stepping back on the sandy soil of home, the plan was simple (1) get her client outta hot water, (2) find the person responsible for her family’s murder, and keep herself from falling in love with a Dragon. No worries, right?

Family meant everything. It was all he’d ever known, and as the oldest son of an oldest son and a Guardsman, Gage took his job as Protector very seriously, even though his four younger brothers knew every one of his buttons to push and laughed as they did it.

Seeing her walking into the Courthouse changed everything. With her in his arms, he saw forever. All he had to do was slay a centuries old flying menace and convince the One the Universe made for him that he wasn’t an arrogant, know-it-all Dragon, but instead, her One and Only Mate. Piece of cake, right?

With more on the line than his love life and the scales covering his backside, Gage MacAllen is about to learn the true meaning of ‘Destiny will always find a way’.

Can he thaw out in time to join the battle?

Will she save the day without him?

Will the Fanatical Feathered Freak finally be brought to justice?

And…who in all that’s holy is the Dragon trapped in the ice?

Only the Great Creator and the Universe know the answers, and as usual, neither one is talking. So, Take a load off, Grab a cold one, and Get ready for one Helluva story.

I don’t want to go on a rant this week so I’ll keep it short. If the current Covid cases statistics aren’t scaring the heck out of you, where have you been hiding? I’m starting to see stories about young couples dying and leaving behind their children. That bothers me.

One recent story that was mentioned involved a couple with 5 children dying within a few weeks of each other. This was in California. The oldest child was only 7, the youngest? The youngest is a newborn who had to be delivered by emergency C-section after the mother was intubated. Neither parent got to meet their youngest child, let alone name him/her.

Neither parent was vaccinated despite the mother, a nurse, having worked with patients since the start of the pandemic. That bothers me greatly.

So please, if you aren’t vaccinated, what’s holding you back? If you have children, is it worth losing them to refuse to be vaccinated? Please, please, think about them!

Rafe is assigned as a special agent to look into murders to see if there is dark magic involved.

Do you know what an “ear worm” is? It’s that piece of music that just sticks in your head long after the music has stopped. A famous ear worm is that Disney song about the size of the world! The chorus to that just keeps playing in your head.

Wednesday I had a Dr’s appointment at the VA. While driving down there, an old song from the 70’s came one. First I started singing the chorus then I started hearing it repeatedly in my head! 😱 It took hours to get that song off my mind!
