Just as good as the last. But I want more. I wish there was a better update on the Colony. I feel like they are still struggling to get brides. It would be great if one of the brides came up with a calendar idea. Also since there is no guarantee of a Bachelor Beast finding his mate, it would be cool to have three beasts on the show at once. So there would be a possibility of one successful match, but if there was more....it would be a hat trick. I liked Bachelor Beast, it was more out of the box than what has been done in the past. I like that she doesn't leave any questions left unanswered when the book is finished. Can't for the next installment.

Another great book in the series! Lucy plans to get her orgasm on at the queen's birthing day party. No attachments, just a fun fling. When Prillon warrior, Niklas, steps on Lucy during a line dance, she's got her man and his second, Sambor. They give her exactly what she wants. When she wakes up in the morning, she's a little surprised they are not there. Her warriors had a mission they had to leave her bed for. She starts to have some feelings while they are on their mission and then bad news. There was an explosion and they are presumed dead. That's when Lucy comes to the conclusion that she wants more with Nik and Sam. SURPRISE!!

Interstellar Brides® Program Book 16: Matched and Mated

She’s been matched, but who will she choose as her mate?

One woman. Two warriors. Two worlds. How will she choose?

Miranda Doyle has spent months in the arms of a mysterious Trion doctor. His hands are skilled at more than just healing, but their casual “friends with benefits” arrangement isn’t enough for her. She wants it all, and the Interstellar Brides Program guarantees her not just a mate, but a perfect match.

Doctor Valck Brax is in love with Miranda, a human female who surrenders to his touch so beautifully. Finally ready to claim her forever, he resigns and returns to her with mating adornments in hand. But he’s too late. Miranda is gone, half a universe away and in the arms of a fierce Prillon warrior.

Captain Trist Treval of Battlegroup Zakar is a cold and cunning fighter. Infamous for his unforgiving nature and calculating ways, war has been his life. Now, with three little words, “you’ve been matched,” everything changes. He’ll destroy anything and everyone who tries to take his beautiful new mate from him, including the foolish doctor from Trion who arrives on the battleship claiming she belongs to him.

I liked Miranda at first but by chapter 11, not so much. It was all “I want, I want, I want”. I get that you have needs and you should find yourself as you grow. But there are plenty of men who would have shown her that, even if they can be less than stellar at it all the time. Why she married a man that would make her feel like she had cooties after sex I don’t understand.

Now, I liked Brax. She was with him sporadically for six months. I don’t honestly think she gave him enough time to find his feet in their FWB before she took off to the IBP. The only way her choices made sense was because of his words and the amount of time he was gone for. It kind of read like she only spent about a day or two with him per month. That’s like a total of 12 days altogether. She never clarified her desire for a more serious relationship and I put that error squarely on her shoulders. Brax was just realizing how much she meant to him and then bam(!) she was gone. The serious nature of his job was a super distraction and can be excuse or reason enough for him needing time to get “there” with her.

Then the last thing I didn’t care for was the confrontation between the three of them. I was all into this story up until this point and had been eager for this showdown to finally get the three of them together. But Miranda thought very poorly of Brax in her head. And even called him a fool while he was groveling to her, again this was in her head. I felt she was demeaning towards him and that is not love. When you love someone you don’t see them as less than. Even if you fall for someone else at the same time. The heart is an amazing thing. It can expand to include many and can be super forgiving and I felt she lacked in that understanding.

I liked Tryst. He was a prillon who demanded excellence from a second. As for him giving up hope on a bride and never replacing his former second, I found inappropriately reflected his character, not just as a prillon but as a second in command of a battleship. In previous books, it has been shown that brides arrive at any stage in a males life, young or old once they have earned the right to be tested. So that was just poor planning or a remission of his duty as a prillon potential mate. But then, had there been a second there wouldn’t have been a point to this book.

Brax I liked, and yes he was a clueless guy that F#€ked up and lost his FWB/girl. But a lot could have been avoided had some conversations had happened and a little less sex. As I stated above a conversation about Miranda wanting a serious relationship, a conversation about Brax’s military record, and a conversation about whether any of them wanted babies.

This book was written well, even if I didn’t like how it played out and didn’t like the female lead. My favorite books are the two books with secret babies, one of which introduced the Miranda character. And of course nearly all of the colony books. But I didn’t like this story and I won’t read it again. Hope you can enjoy it more than I did.

This is an established series, the 16th, that includes alpha quality alien warriors who are DNA (and whatever else) matched with an Earth female with pretty much 100% compatibility potential.

In this story Miranda, a divorcee, is living off planet Earth with her best friend Natalie though she wants her own family but has to have a mate to start that process. So far all she's only enjoyed a 'friends with benefits' relationship with a male who knows what she needs and is able to provide it, but, can't or won't progress into more.

Turns out the male, Doctor Brax, is a secret agent for the I.C.. Being a doctor/physician, he's able to infiltrate and complete his missions with high success rates. In his mind he can't commit to Miranda as his job is dangerous and there's always the chance he won't return.

Fast forward into Miranda getting fed up and signing up with the Interstellar Bride program. Of course she's matched on the spot and transported to her potential/probable mate. A Prillon. To remind you, Prillion's mate as a pair with one female, and, surprise, surprise, he doesn't have a second.

I just can't see a purpose for this book in the series. Yes, it features a sexy time story of repeated BDSM adult intimacy scenes, and gives a reason to feature a second chance romance sort of thing, but otherwise has no value.

A sexy times story for fans of the series and author.

I love all of GG’s books. Each book is different and unique but all revolves around the Interstellar Brides program. This book was well written and the characters were fun to read from their POV. I didn’t find any of them to be annoying or frustrating. I loved how Brax traveled across the galaxy to take his mate back even though he knew it would not go well in his favor. 😍

While there is some BDSM elements in this book, it felt pretty tame and mild compared to others in my opinion. The title of “Master”, clamps, and waiting for commands during sex seemed to be the extent of the BDSM in this book. So if you want to branch out into the wonderful world of BDSM, this would be a good starting point to ease you into that sub genre. Great book with a HEA!

The Commanders’ Mate (Interstellar Brides® Program Book 15)

Commander Karter is a Prillon Warrior. His first duty is to protect his people, to defend the Coalition worlds from a fate too terrible to comprehend. Battle is his life. His heart. He fights. He has never once been selfish enough to believe he deserved an Interstellar Bride. Until he’s matched at the worst possible time.

Astronomer Erica Roberts has always dreamed of seeing the stars. Volunteering as an Interstellar Bride is a win-win, not only will she be able to see the galaxy, but she’s more than ready to take on the two alien warriors she’s been promised. She’s all in. But when she transports directly into the aftermath of a battle, she quickly learns this won’t be an easy match. Her two commanders are torn between battling the Hive and battling their need for her.

If a new Hive weapon can destroy a Coalition battlegroup in the space of a single heartbeat, what will it do to Commander Karter’s match? And how is he and his second supposed to keep their mate safe if they can’t even save themselves?

After seeing Commander Karter in several books and watching him interact with Dara (Chloe, Seth, and Dorian's daughter), we have begged Grace for him to get a mate and she answered us with this great story.

(To understand my review, I just want to put it out there, I read for story and could care less about the sexy times)

This story drops us right into the middle of the Hive war, as mentioned in the previous books, the Battlegroup Karter is actively holding back the Hive in sector 437. Karter was tested years and years ago and has been too busy to have any thoughts of a bride. Ronan is also a Commander and is just as intense as Karter due to the heavy weight of responsibility demanded by their positions. Erica has always loved the stars and jumped at her chance to be among them, especially after her testing as part of a Prillon sandwich (her words, not mine).

This story is told from all three POV and we get to see just how tortured Karter is and how much weight is on his very broad shoulders. I really loved Karter and Ronan and even though Erica is just a feisty as the other Interstellar Brides, I guess I just wasn't as impressed with her as I was with the other brides - she does love both of them and fights for a true mating but that's about it. BUT, Karter and Ronan make up for any deficiencies I felt Erica had. The new development in the war is a major game changer and the Coalition is going to have their hands full dealing with it.

I love this series and while I have received advanced copies of these books (yes, I joined Grace's review team to get my hands on these books as soon as possible), I have purchased every single one. Purchasing these books and writing reviews so that others have a chance to discover this talented author's work is my way of supporting her and my habit 🙂

Title: The Commanders' Mate
Series: Interstellar Brides Program
Author: Grace Goodwin
Designation: Book 15 of Series, Can Be Read As Standalone, No Cliffhanger, *Novella Length #sciencefiction #romance #spaceopera #action #adventure #triad #MFM
My Rating: Five Sexy Sci-Fi Stars****
*All of the books in the Interstellar Brides Program feature one woman finding love with one (or more) sexy warriors, usually alien but sometimes human. Each can be read as a standalone, but there is an underlying interconnected conflict with crossover characters, which is why this reviewer recommends reading the books of the series sequentially. If you're a fan of erotic sci-fi romance, it's one decision you'll never regret and will certainly enrich your reading experience. There is no page or word count given but this reviewer estimates this book to be a longer novella with approximately 40,000 words or 120 pages.

I adore science fiction, completely smitten with hot, alpha aliens, and totally addicted to romance, so when I can get the perfect trifecta of all three, I'm in reader heaven! And Grace Goodwin delivers every single time! I found Goodwin's work a few years ago and have been hooked ever since. She's one of only five Sci-Fi Romance authors on my automatic buy list. When Goodwin has a new release, I never even bother to read the blurb or reviews; I just one-click and dive in! I own all 15 books in her original Interstellar Brides Program Series, all 9 of Interstellar Brides: The Ascension Saga, all 6 of Interstellar Brides: The Colony, plus all 5 of the Interstellar Brides: The Virgins Series and, like all of her followers, anxiously await each new release. Yeah, I think it's safe to say I'm a fan, and I've never regretted a single purchase! But I digress, so let's talk about this book. Fans have been clamoring for Commander Karter's story and one thing I can say about Goodwin, she listens to her readers. This was probably one of the most highly anticipated books of the series and Goodwin delivered in spades. There were so many things I enjoyed about The Commanders' Mate. It's fast-paced, easy to follow, and well written, as always, with snappy dialogue, an intriguing storyarc, and a large cast of engaging characters. But before I continue, I'd like to say - WOOHOO! WE FINALLY FIND OUT COMMANDER KARTER'S FULL NAME! It's Makaed Karter, aka Kaed! Hey, what can I say? I've been smitten with the enigmatic Prillon warrior battleship commander since he was first introduced at the beginning of the series and like my fellow fans, I've begged shamelessly for his story. I knew it would take a very special woman to lasso this space cowboy! But Erica Roberts from Earth was so much more than just special, she was intelligent, feisty, courageous, and determined, with a capital D. She was also extremely tenacious, like a dog with a bone, and refused to allow anything to stop her from getting her man, or I should say men since Prillon warriors always mate in pairs. And she was an astrologer! How cool is that?!? Pretty darn cool, I'd say, especially since her background and knowledge in Astrology not only helped save the day but also was instrumental in saving every single person on Battleship Karter! As I said, Prillon warriors mate in pairs, two males for each female, a primary and a secondary, but I had no idea who Karter would choose as his second. I knew he'd have to be exceptional and Prillon Warrior and Coalition Intelligence Core Commander Ronan Wothar was definitely one hunk of hot alpha love! WARNING, WARNING, WILL ROBINSON! Sexy times ahead! lol... Ronan had been Karter's life-long best friend and chosen second, that is until 5 years ago when he was reported killed in action. Thankfully, Ronan wasn't dead; he had been working with the Coalition's super-secret spy organization dubbed the Intelligence Core. If you've read Fighting for Their Mate, you may recall it featured human female warrior Commander Chloe Phan, who at one time was also an agent for the Intelligence Core. These guys don't play around. They're a nasty bunch of spies. But Ronan was tired of his isolated existence with the I.C. and truly grateful for the chance at having a mate. But poor Kaed... when it rains, it pours for this battle-hardened commander. In one fell swoop, he simultaneously discovers his long-thought-to-be-dead friend is actually alive, AND he finally has a mate, and not just any mate but a 99% compatibility match! Oh my! Kaed had given up on ever being matched by the Interstellar Brides Program and resigned himself to being alone. Actually, he preferred it that way. His life was dangerous and full of responsibility. He was dedicated to his fleet and it was his job to ensure the safety of the thousands of warriors and families under his command. He had no time for a relationship or a mate. But the heart wants what the heart wants, despite trying to convince himself otherwise. Kaed was determined to send Erica away and never allow her to wear his mating collar. Yeah, good luck with that, Kaed. Remember when I said Erica was feisty and determined? Well, she had other ideas and to heck with the merciless Hive enemies. Erica was hellbent on having her happy ending, with both Kaed and Ronan. And when Erica makes up her mind, there's no changing it. It was a battle of wills, but we all know women are actually the stronger sex, right? When a woman sets her sights on something, nothing will stand in her way. Kaed and Ronan had no idea just what a fierce human female was capable of doing, especially in the name of love! Ronan capitulated fairly quickly, but Kaed was so much slower to acquiesce. I wanted to smack him upside his handsome head - several times! But it was so much fun watching the three of them dance around each other, all the while trying to save the ship, save the day, and outmaneuver the Hive. Sigh... So romantic!

So, did I like this book? Yes, very much! Would I recommend it? You bet, and I am but only for adults. If you enjoy fast-paced, well-written science fiction brimming with action, adventure, danger, drama, engaging storyarcs, nail-biting conflicts, endearing characters, sexy heroes, sassy heroines, steamy passion, erotic sex scenes, and heartwarming romance, then this entire series is screaming your name. Will I read this author again? Abso-freakin-lutely! Just as soon as she releases her next book! And finally, was I entertained? Completely! I was glued to my seat, gasping for breath with a death grip on my ereader as the pages flew as quickly as the time! Fabulous entertainment and an awesome read! Well done, Grace Goodwin! Well done, indeed. And FYI, we, your fans, are still waiting for Warden Egara's story and not so patiently, I might add! lol...

Interstellar Brides® Program Book 12: Fighting For Their Mate

Once a commander with the Intelligence Core for the Coalition Fleet, a mission gone wrong forced Chloe to return to Earth injured and dishonored. But she’s seen too much and is restless in civilian life. This drives her to do whatever it takes to return to space, to where she belongs, so she volunteers as an Interstellar Bride. She’s shocked to discover her mate is human, but he’s like no one else she’s ever met…and he’s taken a second, a huge Prillon warrior equally determined to seduce her body and win her heart.

ReCon Captain Seth Mills lost both of his brothers to the Hive and vows to continue fighting. His bride is an unwelcome shock and he agrees to the Prillon custom of taking a second to protect the innocent woman destined to be his. No matter how determined he is to resist her allure, one touch, one kiss, and he knows he can never let her go.

Although she surrenders to their dominant touch, Chloe is no innocent. She’s a commander with secrets she can’t share. And when the entire Battlegroup is caught in a deadly Hive trap, she’s the only one who can save them all, no matter the cost. But Chloe’s mates won’t let her go into battle alone. No matter the risk, they’re willing to sacrifice everything…and fight for their mate.

GOD, I LOVE this series and the ...
spinoff series “The Colony” (which is my favorite, but not enough stories in that line yet). I love not just the romance but the UNIVERSE that GG has created with this series! It’s more than just a world build for this very clever sci-fi series but a more elaborate universe that encompasses sci-fi, romance, adventure, discovery and intense danger.

GG has created something so filling it’s up there with Star Trek, Star Wars or Dr Who. All this while being an adult erotica and a gripping read! I found this series when I was searching for sci-fi romance and boy I have NOT been disappointed. Although I get bored with all the sex scenes (in all the books there are ALOT of them and very graphic!) I think it’s definitely more a sci-fi story. The investment into the creation of this universe is extensive and really should not be over looked.

GG hurry and write more! I like to pile them up (a few books) and then binge read them all at once! I can’t get enough of the Atlans, Prillons and Warden Egara! I like all the other species too but those are my favorites. I’m also interested in the possibility of rescuing more assimilated hive drones. I love there stories in “The Colony”. Maybe one day learning more about the Hive and defeating them! ☺️

Fabulous adventure
Wow, what a fabulous adventure. Chloe was a former special ops type of warrior who had almost gotten killed because of a co-worker. He had placed the blame for the failed mission so she had been returned to Earth, working as a 911 operator and never being allowed to return to work. She signs up for the Interstellar Bride program thinking she will be sent to some other planet but is, instead, sent to a battle ship to meet her mates. The Commander of the ship finds out about her top secret background and she is recruited to do the same type of job she had previously done. She is such a strong warrior and to have a female holding such power was fabulous. The fact she out ranks her mates is frosting on the cake. There is steamy sex between mates, dangerous battles and much more happening in this book. It kept me on the edge of my seat from start to finish. I've read some of the Interstellar Bride books and they were great but this one was out of this world!

Can't wait till the next book
YEAH! I love these stories. And the fact that we have a human mate, male in the mix makes it so much more fun. I'm glad to read that Seth finally found happiness. He and his best friend, Dorian a Prillian, work so great together. Toss in Chloe with her skill and intell. I love when the women have a stronger role. Even though we know they all have secrets do to their missions and jobs it is interesting to find out more and more about the Hive. The Hive is more of a threat then ever before. But with what Chloe knows and our two guys loving and protecting her, we will crack this.

I cant wait for what is to come next. Perhaps Commander Karter with find someone or even Warlord Anghar or even our Warden with the Interstellar Bride. They all need to find love. Perhaps all them together.

Love This Book-Plenty of Action
I am obsessed with Grace Goodwin's books, and they get better and better. I skipped over the 2nd chapter which detailed Chloe's dream during her bride processing time, because the dreams the brides have in the processing center are about sex, and I've already read enough of those. Other than that each story is unique, and I love the story line in this one. Chloe is intelligent and has high ranking in the coalition. She has a key role in helping to save thousands and is a true heroin. Her mates are a human and a Prillon, and although they have a few surprises in getting to know her, they are wonderfully supportive to her with a desire to protect her as well.

Interstellar Brides Program 4: Taken By Her Mates

After being set up and found guilty of a crime she didn’t commit, Jessica volunteers for the Interstellar Bride Program to avoid a lengthy prison sentence. She is assigned to a prince, the heir to the throne of the powerful planet Prillon, but her future is left in doubt when the match is rejected by Prillon’s current ruler.

When his own father seeks to banish him and deny him his right to a mate, Prince Nial takes matters into his own hands. Accompanied by a battle-tested warrior who volunteers as his second, he sets out for Earth to take what is his, but upon his arrival he quickly discovers that the same horrifying enemies who once took him captive now hunt his mate as well.

Though believing she has been rejected by a mate she never even met stings more deeply than she would like to admit, Jessica does her best to focus on the dangerous task of bringing down the people who framed her. But before long, her world is turned upside down all over again when two huge, handsome aliens save her life and then inform her that she is their matched mate and they have come to Earth to claim her.

Jessica is far from ready to meekly submit, but she soon learns that her new mates expect to be obeyed and defiance will result in a painful, embarrassing spanking on her bare bottom. Despite her fury at such treatment, however, she cannot hide her arousal as she is stripped bare and thoroughly mastered by the fierce, dominant warriors. But when Prince Nial is forced to defend his birthright, will Jessica do what must be done to aid him, even if that means allowing his entire world to bear witness as she is taken by her mates?

Taken by her Mates- Oh my goodness! Prince Nial! My favorite Prillon Warrior by far!
Jessica is an Iraqi war vet and now a freelance photographer, only she's been framed and jailed on charges of selling drugs because she knew too much. Where better to get away from the people who assuredly want you dead than the Interstellar Bride program? Only once she matched to her perfect mate her transfer is denied, by the Prime himself. Jessica is heartbroken, no one wants her, not even the Aliens. But since her volunteering for the program and subsequent refusal commutes her sentence she's now a free agent. One that everyone thinks is off planet and she decides to use that loophole to find out and report the people who framed her.
What she doesn't expect is for her mate, and the Hive, to come looking for her. Or to fall in love with him.
Prince Nial has been contaminated by Hive technology and, in his father's opinion, undeserving of a bride because of it. Since his father is the Prime, ruler of the entire Prime world, he has the power to prevent the mating. Nial is done with his father's controlling ways though and will find his bride at any cost. (Does he have a cousin? I think he might be my match!)
I'm a sucker for the Prillon Warriors and I love the story of Nial coming after Jessica with the odds stacked against him. I loved that, for her, it wasn't love at first sight, though she did understand he was there to help her, once he'd introduced himself. And I love that her veteran status is able to give him and the other contaminated warriors a new lease on life.

I love to read historical romance and sometimes I like to switch genres and after reading Taken by Her Mates I am glad I did. This story sci-fi story was smoking hot! I have had the book for awhile and finally had the opportunity to read it. Loved the premise of a human female being paired with aliens as an Interstellar Bride. The fact that Jessica was falsely accused of a crime and Prince Nial was a veteran who was deamed contaminated by his father because he was captured and changed by the Hive set up a really go story with a great deal of emotion and action. Ander his second was also a scared warrior which added to the one female two mates storyline. The book had my interest from the beginning and Grace's characters were well defined. This was pure escapism with more sex than I am used to but it was a good read and I enjoyed the book. I am looking forward to reading other books by the author.

5.0 out of 5 stars I absolutely loved this book

I absolutely loved this book. I have followed Grace and have all her 4 books in this series. I eagerly await book 5. This series starts with a preview of the sex that the heroine will be getting later. I love the uniqueness of this series which is an off-shoot of the recent interstellar brides trend. I love the abrupt beginning that is gently explained after and the blending of me and the heroine as we meet the mate and get to know the situation and the man. I love the strength of her heroines! I love how she unrolls her plots and the problems that come up!
Definitely a great and fun read
Taken By Her Mates

Interstellar Brides 2: Mated to the Warriors

When circumstances leave her with little choice but to volunteer for the Interstellar Bride Program, Hannah Johnson finds herself matched with not one but two mates. Her soon-to-be husbands are warriors of the planet Prillon, a world whose men are known far and wide for their prowess both in battle and in bed.

Following her transport to a starship halfway across the galaxy, Hannah awakens in the presence of Zane Deston, the huge, fiercely handsome commander of the Prillon fleet. After informing her that she is now his mate, as well as the mate of his second, Zane takes it upon himself to supervise as Hannah is thoroughly and intimately examined. Her failure to properly cooperate with the ship’s doctor earns her a painful, embarrassing spanking on her bare bottom, but it is her body’s response to the exam which truly leaves her blushing.

Though Hannah is shocked by the prospect of being shared by Zane and his second, the equally handsome warrior Dare, she cannot hide her arousal as her two dominant mates take their time in mastering her body. As the day of the claiming ceremony approaches, Hannah begins to long for the moment when Zane and Dare will make her fully theirs, but can she risk giving her heart to men who might die in battle any day?

5.0 out of 5 stars Strongest story showing D/s; BD driven relationship - realistically done and respectful of the Woman - INTENSE

Excellent writing, characters you can't help connecting with, and plausible background story to connect the VERY hot sex scenes. Typical of ALL this author's work.Kudos.

Also, I give my Ghost Pepper Hotness Award for this story, and the rest of this series in general. 😀

NOTES for the Morally Concerned (no spoilers). This story has significant emphasis on developing a D/s relationship with the new bride assigned to 2 Prillon Warriors via the interplanetary matching program ... so she isn't 'coerced', she already has the psychological profile to be compatible with her Primary Mate. She has the heart of a natural Sub, and needs the mates to take control...and so the story rolls, until she falls in love and wants them to formally claim her. (HEA ending) YES, there are several spanking scenes, between the mates, and an invasive medical exam scene that could upset some readers since it IS coerced. And adult. (use imagination here)

NOTE: sexual acts portrayed include oral, anal, the usual, and then works up to DP in the Claiming Ceremony. Naaaahhhh, I'm NOT spoiling the surprise - read it and find out why they have to do this. ALL scenes are hetero - the Bride is shared by 2 mates.

NOTE: there's ZERO degradation of the woman, even in the BDSM scene later near the end. It's realistic, as a Sub and a *good* Dom would act, however - meaning clear and reasonable cause/effect, clear expectations and consent, use of a 'safeword', and mutual caring between these two people. Yes, it's rough sometimes. None of the slave-humilliation-torture stuff that is mentally/physically/spiritually damaging. WHEW. Enjoy the ride, if you dare!

NOTE: ZERO substance abuse. NO profanity. NO gratuitous, casual killing. NO infidelity, head games, cheap sex, or devaluation of women. NO forcing sex on women.

You'll end up wanting to be matched to Prillon Warriors yourself, after reading a couple stories featuring them. 😉

Yeah: hot, sculpted, gold to copper skinned, 7' tall, generously hung, predatory looking humanoid males that are the lead players in the Galactic War against the Hive. (think Borg

I'm going to skip the synopsis and just go to what I loved about this book.

1. 2 guys (duh)
2. 1 guy is a mega Dom, but holds back
3. Guy number 2 is an Alpha who knows what he wants takes it.
4. The heroine isn't dumb or annoying
5. BDSM well written
6. Damaged hero
7. Did I mention 2 hot, alpha alien dudes?

Seriously, I'm totally loving this new author and am devouring everything she puts out.

5.0 out of 5 stars Out of this world story with a human side

I like to think of myself as a "veteran" of Grace Goodwin's paranormal romances, having read almost every one of her titles on Amazon. Obviously, I think her writing is wonderful; the characters are vivid and the story lines creative and full of detail. This book is as good as the rest. I wanted to rate it only 4 stars, however, because I found myself ready to slap the leading lady. Grace's heroines are kick-a$$ women who take a running leap at happiness by going into galaxies far, far away to be mated to the uh, warriors. Of course, there's some trepidation, maybe a second thought or two, perhaps some nerves. This character, however, is just plain crazy. She has 2 huge, sexy aliens who are devoted to her pleasure and what does she do? She wants to go back to Earth, even though she volunteered to come to space. Arrrrgh!!!

The author's artistic choices may have me cringing, but I can't argue that I want to know what's next in the book. Perhaps I just want to see this character get sent back to Earth just like she wants. That would serve her right. Perhaps I am more of a romantic and I want to see if she falls in love with her alien warriors. No matter my motivation, I want to see what happens. This is what makes Grace Goodwin's writing so out-of-this-world (uh, sorry). You may not like the choices that the characters make, but I can guarantee that this book will make you take a stand one way or another. Will you be team Hannah or team Zane? Maybe you'll be routing for Dare. None of the above? The choice is what is important here; the author's, the character's and ultimately, yours.

I vote to buy Grace Goodwin another pen so that she can get going on the next book since I should be finishing this one shortly. Brava

Unfortunately, their new mate has a wild streak, a thirst for danger, and an appetite for violence that both shocks and thrills them. When her penchant for stirring up trouble brings danger to The Colony, they’ll stop at nothing to save her.

Nothing at all.

Rating: 5 out of 5.

You gotta love the warriors on the Colony. They’ve been through H#ll and came out the other side still fighting. Still willing to stand between the innocents and the evil that lurks in the dark. It was so good to see this pair of Prillons getting a mate. Even if they didn’t think it would ever happen!

Matched and Mated (Interstellar Brides® Book 16)

The newfound confidence I’d discovered within myself was something Brax had given me over the last few months. But tonight would either be a new beginning for us, or an ending. The friends with benefits arrangement we’d had since the beginning wasn’t enough for me anymore. A wild few days when he was in town and off-duty couldn’t satisfy me any longer. Oh, he’d give me orgasms and make me a sweaty heap, but I wanted more than sex with him. I was finally whole, ready to give my heart away— and Brax was more than halfway to claiming it already. I wanted everything Natalie had, everything I’d followed her to Trion to have for myself. I loved looking after Noah, and his new little sister, but seeing Natalie give birth to a second child— the little baby girl now only days old— made me yearn for the first time in years. My ovaries practically exploded just holding her. But Brax didn’t want babies. He didn’t want a mate. He didn’t want anything more than a fun time. I wasn’t mad. I hadn’t wanted more either… until I did. And that wasn’t his fault.

Grace Goodwin. Matched and Mated: Interstellar Brides® Program – Book 16 (Kindle Locations 84-92).

She’s been matched, but who will she choose as her mate?

What I Thought:

Fighting For Their Mate (Interstellar Bride Program #12)

I thought, perhaps, the human would punch me for such a statement. But his shoulders slumped and he closed his eyes in defeat. Let his head drop so his chin touched his armored shirt. “I suppose I am. I won’t leave a widow. Children with no father to protect them. If I accepted a mate, I’d be selfish, Dorian. I’d want it all. I’d want to fuck her until she had my baby in her. And then another. Pure and simple.”

Yes, his desire was one most males shared, from all planets. I agreed with him, but I could see his problem. His Earth problem.

“If there was no danger to her, no chance that she would end up alone and unprotected, would you accept her?” He looked at me as if I were crazy. “Of course, but that’s—”

“Agreed,” I said, cutting him off. “I will be your second. You are a warrior. You will claim your mate as a warrior should, with a second to ensure her pleasure, protection and happiness. She will be cherished by both of us, as a Prillon bride would be. The risks you speak of would no longer be a concern. Should you die, I vow to care for our mate and protect our offspring. And I assure you—” I smiled then. “— she would be filled with that baby twice as fast if she belonged to both of us.”

“What the hell are you saying?”

“You would need to make the same vow to me. That if something happened to me, you would be there for our mate and children.”
