Blue Moon Saloon Book 1: Damnation

He hasn’t forgotten her, and she sure hasn’t forgiven him.

Jessica Macks is a she-wolf on the run from a band of murderous rogues. When she finds a job at a shifter bar, it seems like a safe haven from her hunted life on the road. But the minute she walks through the swinging doors of the Blue Moon Saloon and comes face-to-face with the man she once loved, she’s tempted to march right back out. No way, no how is she risking her heart to that infuriating alpha bear again.

Simon Voss thought he lost everything in an ambush months before: his home, his family, his past. His new job at the Blue Moon Saloon is a desperately needed fresh start on life. Then along comes Jessica, the irresistible she-wolf his clan forced him to reject years before. When Simon is obliged to hire Jessica and work side by side with the one woman to ever make his bear go wild, he’s half in heaven, half in hell. He hasn’t forgotten her, and she sure as hell hasn’t forgiven him. Is this just another path to heartbreak or his last chance to claim his destined mate?

DAMNATION is the first book in the Blue Moon series. While each is meant to stand alone, I believe it will be better to read them all and in the order of release. This is a spin-off of the Wolves of Twin Moon Ranch series. I have not read any of those books and had no trouble with following the characters (but I’m mighty curious now!).

Grabbed me by the heart and held on straight until the end. I loved every minute of listening to this story of destiny and love that was meant to be claimed and celebrated.

While in some stories it is annoying to hear inner dialogue, in this one it made the wolf and bear additional characters and they are terrific! They are so simple, single-minded, and in love with each other. Now if they could just get their humans to quit being so proud.

This is the first book I have read from Anna Lowe. I want more!

This is one of the best shifter books I have read. What happens when a wolf and a bear try to mate? All he** breaks loose. It starts when these two ask permission from their class to be married. The clans approve a marriage, but it is not to each other. What results is heartache; that breaks up the two, and brings death and destruction among the clans by a rouge clan. Running for their life's, the she-wolf and her sister find themselves in Arizona. They find a new friend and allies who offer them work and room and board. There is one catch.... They will be working for and sharing quarters with two shifter brothers. When the time comes for them to meet, it's her mate. Find out what happens by picking up this book, you won't regret it!

This seems like a really good series. The author is not one I am familiar with but, one I am now interested in. The characters Simon, Soren, Jessica, Janna and Cole are all interesting. Simon a bear shifter and Jessica a wolf shifter met a long time ago and each recognized their destined mates in each other. However, their respective clans and packs forbade them from mating. However, they changed their minds and decided Soren and and Jessica should mate, each being the first born of their respective families. Simon tries to get the respective families to change their minds but they refuse. During all of this Jessica is unaware they intend to mate her to Soren, Simon's older brother. When Simon gives her the cold shoulder out of necessity she becomes angry . Soren also has a mate unknown to his clan. She is human, also not accepted by his clan. When rogue shifters destroy his clan and her pack in a sadistic plan to keep shifter blood pure they learn they failed to kill Jessica and Janna. Simon and Soren were away at the time and were also spared. They meet up again at the Blue Moon Saloon. Read the story to find out what happens next. It's a tale worth reading!

What an amazing story! I am a huge fan of shifter stories and of Anna Lowe's books. The way this book is written is so warm and real, I think that is one of the things that I loved so much about this book. The storyline was incredible, there are so many twists and turns in it, making it a compelling page tuner that is filled with action, adventure, pain and love. The characters were so well thought out and descriptive, each character having their own strengths and all of them having inner demons that they try to deal with on their own. Throughout the book they realise they can trust others.
This is a definite must read!!!!!

This is the first book by Anna Lowe I've read, but OMG I thoroughly enjoyed it when I started reading it I naively thought 'oh it's another shifter book' well it is but so much more besides. I like the way the 'wolves' come to the aid of the 'Javelina' even though neither species get on historically. I think perhaps the best bit was the way a 'lowly' librarian finally showed her true grit and fought for her man. I would most definitely recommend this book to other people.

Tina has been in love with the boy at the ranch next door all of her life, but she knows Rick will never be accepted in her pack as her mate. He is human and human males do not usually survive the bite that changes them to wolf. When he returns after having been away pursuing a career in baseball, a career he had asked her to share with him, she knows she will have to be careful to avoid him at all costs. A male shifter can mate with a human female and turn her into a shifter, but not the other way round: the male human often dies as he is usually too strong to accept the change.

So here we have a female shifter knowing her fated mate is a strong human man, and she had to say no to his proposal in the past when he left to pursue his career in sports.
She lives with her happily mated brothers, and sees herself as fated to just being a dependable sister.

Maybe you have met some of the others in this series.
This is a stand alone tale where two people who happened to know each other for a while as children, share a fate.
Kyle had been bitten years ago, turned into a werewolf, now he worked as a police officer in the American country side and had shifter friends at the Twin Moon Ranch.
Stef had a good job, selling solar panels, but got attacked by a customer and would soon either die or turn into a wolf herself. Said customer needed to bite her once again and she would become his mate, but she had managed to run away and collapsed in the desert.
Kyle found her; they were attracted to each other, he knew he could give her the second bite and thus make her his mate, but gentleman that he was, wanted her to know the full consequences of being a werewolf and wanted her to chose being mated to him. The original attacker was searching for her and when he turned up, she noticed that he exerted some sort of magical pull on her, so she quickly ran away again.

sometimes when you read a lot of paranormal romance it can seem like there is nothing more out there that you have not already seen. i can honestly say that Anna Lowe is that something new. this is the first book that i have read from this author and i adored it. the undercurrents that ran thru the "pack" and the hilarious commentary from the "classroom, had me laughing out loud, a lot!

i was grabbed and pulled into the story from the first page. i found myself intrigued and fascinated by the story and the characters were a joy to get to know and watch them grow into their own. i also found myself rooting for the heroine/hero and booing the "villain(s)", and then on the next page laughing out loud at something else. it was a truly wonderful book.

If you like: 1) paranormal books with the most amazing world building in them. 2)the against all odds romance, then grab this book and dig in for the duration. go ahead and hibernate with it for awhile, i can guarantee once you start reading you won't want to put it down any more than a chocoholic would give up his/her Godiva. LOL!

this is also not one of those books that you can figure out who will do what in the first few chapters but it kept me guessing right up to the last page. i find myself hoping to hear more about these characters in a future book as well as some of the secondary characters that need their story told. I can hardly wait to read the rest of the series.

I really enjoyed this sequel and the two main characters in this story. I loved Cody from the first book and Heather was easy to like as well. I loved Cody’s easy-going personality compared to Ty’s. I also understood why he choose to be the comedian. I disliked how negatively Ty and his father judged him. As for Heather, I absolutely loved her spirit and willingness to fight for herself. No wilting flower here. Her innate understanding of Cody was wonderful. I like how fiercely she was willing to defend him when needed.

The kids were great for the humorous aspect of the story. It was easy to fall in love with them especially the class clown, Timmy. He’s a little charmer. I was glad that Heather took a special interest in him.

Ms. Lowe did an excellent job of weaving the love story with humor, mystery and suspense. I appreciated that the characters in this story didn’t have quite as much internal dialogue as the first story. That helped the story actually flow better. I can’t wait to read the next one.

In short, very real. Throw in a serial killer with lots of suspense and a budding romance that isn't supposed to happen, ever, and you have an edge of your seat thriller. Boo, he murmured, sending the thought right into her mind.
She scowled. Boo?

Jessica knew she had made a major mistake. This wasn’t a little bit of snow ❄️, this was a blizzard. And if she didn’t find some kind of shelter, she’d freeze. Finding a bear den only seemed fortunate. Given the stories she’d been told about bear Shifters, she really didn’t want to meet one.

Simon always kept extra supplies in his den in case he was caught away from his home. This time he’d been at the den for a short while already. But something had drawn him away. Coming back, he was surprised to find a she-wolf in his den.

What truly surprised them both was when they both started hearing each other’s thoughts. This was something that only happened with mated pairs. Nevertheless, something was drawing them to each other. But what of their conservative families?

Rating: 5 out of 5.

“You must be Wendell,” the woman said.

He blinked. It sounded like she didn’t remember him either. “Dell. Dell O’Roarke.”

The woman nodded and introduced herself. “Anjali Jain.” Then she nodded down to the baby nestled in her arms. “This is Quinn.”

She let a second tick by, and Dell’s mind went into a tailspin, trying to puzzle out the hint. Quinn?

Finally, the woman dropped the bombshell. “She’s named after her dad.”

All the air whooshed out of Dell’s lungs. That wasn’t his baby. It was his brother’s.

He expected sheer relief, but all he felt was disappointed emptiness. A stab of jealousy that it was his perfect brother who’d produced that perfect baby and not him.

“Quentin?” he whispered.

The woman nodded sadly and cuddled the baby close.

A shocked little gasp made it past Tim’s lips, and Connor looked surprised, too. They quit glaring at Dell, and he could sense the same thought rushing through everybody’s mind.

Quentin was the good guy. The hero. A man who did his family proud. In other words, a model lion. Quentin wasn’t the type to knock up a girl and leave her on her own. All the messing up, he left to Dell.

Not this time, Dell’s inner lion murmured, lashing its tail. Not this time.

Ad executive Anjali Jain hasn’t taken a vacation in years — and she sure isn’t on vacation now. She’s simply keeping a promise, and then she’ll get back to climbing the corporate ladder.
