Loving the Local Attractions

The end of last year, my husband and I were surprised to find that his disability claim had been approved. As a result, the amount of benefits he would have received from the time the claim was submitted had been deposited in our account. A lot more money than we had ever received.

After Christmas, I started searching for a new electric tricycle for us. We already had a converted Schwinn tricycle and we wanted a second one so we could go on rides together.

I found this one from Lectric eBikes. Part of what drew me to this one was the fact that it was built from the ground up to be an electric trike.

Another part of the appeal is the fact that it has a higher weight limit than others.

This trike was also designed for people with balance issues and mobility difficulties. A regular bike would be difficult but a trike is much easier to ride.

What Now?

I joined a couple of private Facebook groups for riders of the XP Trike and immediately started noticing some of the trails that other people were using. They were stunning! But I also noticed that they had to transport their trikes.

I live right on the Pinellas Trail in Florida. The distance between my home and the trail is measured in yards, not miles! For me, taking a trip on the trail only requires my grabbing a bottle of water and checking the tire pressure.

The Pinellas Trail is an approximately 45 mile stretch of a network of trails that loop around Pinellas County.

Heading North

If I head north about 15 miles, I can visit the Suncoast Primate Sanctuary. As I head back south from there, I can stop by the Clearwater Marine Aquarium.

There are also a number of county parks along the route.

Next Up!

I decided to cut this post short because I wanted to research what was available to me heading south from where I am. So, stay tuned for those!
