Short review: Read it!

Cherise Sinclair is a must buy, must read author. This stand-alone is easy to follow and difficult to put down. No editing errors, gratuitous violence or drag-you-down drama.

Compelling, beautiful storyline of healing hearts, minds and a town. Descriptive writing that draws the reader into each scene. Realistic procedures, actions and reactions. The responses of the characters to various problems shows how it can and should be done to build a better life for all concerned. Believable characters with distinct personalities and their own emotional baggage. Thought-provoking, memorable and occasionally humorous dialogue.

“I think it’s because IQ and testosterone are incompatible, so when one increases, the other goes down.”

I will re-read this story and always look forward to, pre-order when possible, new works by this author.

This is Heather’s story who we met over the past several books but got to know more in the previous book. This one is about “those dang Canadians” apparently. The way things go down with Pete were interesting, I did find it odd that Herne kept him alive. It doesn’t seem to be his normal MO with The Laws and such. But him and Gretchen were sort of after thoughts and the tension from outside the relationship was really nil. Most of the conflict arose from their own preconceived notions. I did like mates. I like how we see them over time getting to know Heather but I didn’t like how some things were glossed over, or how we would mention some people and then kind of they’d disappear. Overall I enjoyed the book and can’t wait to see what happens with Moya.

House of Theoden: New Haven Series Book 2

Théoden is summoned by his sire, the vampire king, Ara, and must go to see what his king wants. In the meantime, he leaves his sons to have the night to themselves. And when the boys are free, they get up to all kinds of fun. As for Théoden, his sire makes a surprising announcement, one that doesn’t sit well with some of his brothers. When challenged, Théoden must step up and prove that he is the strongest. In addition to that, King Ara has given a new edict, every vampire must sire another and he has one target in particular that he wants Théoden to embrace.

Now that Noel has accepted his place in Théoden’s house, he must begin his proper training. And Théoden has assigned his eldest son, Marco, to do the honors. Marco is the task master from hell, and he doesn’t cut Noel any slack as he molds him to be a son that their sire can be proud of. There is never a dull moment in the House of Théoden

Feeling a bit betrayed...

I say betrayed because in book one Theoden talked about how he usually doesn't 'share' his children, but in book two he's sharing them out left and right, even using them as pawns to get things he wants. He pimps Noel out more than once to acquire things to further his own ends, and not just Noel either. On one hand Theoden 'thinks' to himself about caring about Noel, and then his actions betray that by his pimping Noel out at the drop of a hat. How can you care about someone but then treat them like their some object without feelings? But then again we're talking about a sadomasochist who tortures and maims people and sends children to slaughter. I just felt the author wasn't consistent with Theoden's view of his children. You can't say, "I don't usually share" and then the following book be handing them out like candy... unless the author is trying to portray him as some sort of hypocrite who, like so many humans, say one thing but do the exact opposite while still believing they're behaving like they initially claim.

Overall the book was awesome and I couldn't put it down... now I'm looking forward to continuing Dante's saga and hearing more of how things go with Deacon's new 'mate

Can there be too much sex?

If you like violent dominating vampires, torture and LOTS of M/M sex, you will love this author. But about this point in the series it starts to get to the point where you really want them to get on with the actual plot and all the sex and violence is sort of in the way. Because this author actually has a pretty interesting plot under all that sex. I know! who expects that? So I found I was actually getting bored with the sex scenes (which is so unlike me). I will say I liked the previous books in this series slightly better as they had a good balance going between telling the story and hot scenes of lust and dominance- and hope to get back to see if the series finds its equilibrium again in the next part

This is the second book in The New Haven Book Series

What can I say about this book of for this whole series well I started with Joel's story Chained in Darkness I'm not gonna lie this type of book is very hard for me to read . I had to stop and start a lot I just hated everybody except Noel . I hated what happened too him how he was betrayed and how he was turned/Embraced against his will but I kept going because I was hoping for a story in stead of all the over the top SEX . I get that because of their nature being the children of Theoden that they have to live a certain way and I understood that after the Author finally explained this . And the story got better and better after I found out about all the brother's their back story and what kind of men they where before they were embraced . Not only that but I understood were Theoden was coming from in the way he ran his family and city . And finally we get to see Noel evolve into the vampire that he will become . I'm actually looking forward too continuing this series and trust me I didn't think that I'd ever say that Lol

Chained in Darkness (New Haven)

This book takes a little bit of explaining. The author, Nicholas Bella, easily admits that it was written to prove that it was possible to have both a plot and porn in the same book. Make no mistake about it, there is plenty of porn in this book. In fact, Amazon has banned the eBook version! However, the paperback version can be purchased from Amazon as can the Audible version. If you’re looking for the ebook version, try Smashwords or the Author.

Noel’s day could have turned out a whole lot better than it did as far as he was concerned. Betrayed by a trusted friend, captured by his enemy–the vampires–and chained naked to a wall in a cold, dark prison isn’t his idea of a fun time. He knows he’s as good as dead. You just don’t rebel against the supes and think you’re going to get away with it. And he caused one particular dangerous vampire and a lot of trouble and money. Only time will tell if they make his death quick and hopefully painless, or slow and extremely painful.

Théoden, the Lord of District Five, has had his sights set on Noel from the moment the annoying human set fire to one of his very profitable businesses. Normally, he’d kill anyone who crossed him, but Noel has something special. Something that reminds Théoden of himself and he has plans for the handsome human. Plans and punishment, because he still needs to pay for pissing Théoden off.
